Sierra began to pack up for day when she was met with an unexpected visitor. She kept her back toward her desk, sealing away her laptop in it's case and sighed quietly on the presence she felt with her.
"Packing up Sierra?" The smug tone called out to her.
She could smell the scent of bitch wafting inside her office but yet, she put on her best smile before turning toward them. "Yeah. All done for the day Victoria." She replied while placing her bag over her shoulder.
"Oh, sorry I couldn't get to you sooner. I guess your meeting with Mr. Kim ran longer than expected." The cherry, artificial smile stretched across Victoria's lips.
Sierra remained keen to her obvious attempt to pry. "No actually it didn't." She didn't want to elaborate, although a few innuendos came to mind just to stir Victoria's suspicion more.
"Well then, I just wanted to see what you thought of the retreat. Was everything okay? I didn't see Mr. Kim on his second day. As a matter a fact, I don't recall seeing you on any day except for the last." Victoria plundered.
Nodding slow, Sierra smiled. "I attended my seminars as planned. As for Mr. Kim, I cannot speak for him, nor is it my business to do so."
Eyes slightly glared, Victoria absorbed Sierra's information. Though not hearing what she wanted, she knew Sierra would slip eventually and tell her what she already knew.
"Of course Sierra. I don't expect you to keep tabs on the boss." Victoria smiled. "He is a very handsome man though, kinda hard not to keep your eyes off him, hm?"
Boiling, Sierra wanted to wipe the smirk from Victoria's face. The fact of her first thoughts steered toward violence lately when in contact with this woman was enough to remind her that a quick exit out of this situation was best.
"I suppose Victoria. Please excuse me, I'm meeting my friends for dinner and I'm already late." Sierra brushed past Victoria, leaving her office and not bothering to look back.
Victoria glanced at the time on her watch. "Hmph. I bet he's still here." Adjusting her already neat fit, she left Sierra's office and soon made her way into the CEO suite. A sly smirk harnessed her lips noticing Jungkook was not at his desk. She walked closer to Taehyung's door, listening in for voices, hearing nothing but quietness.
She knocked lightly.
"Come in."
Victoria exhaled before turning the knob and entering.
Taehyung, concentrated on his computer, managed a glance from the corner of his eye, mentally scoffing at his visitor.
"Sir, am I interrupting?" Victoria spoke.
"Yes I am in the middle of a report." Taehyung's tone was firm and Victoria received it as read, however that didn't slow her advances.
"Oh well, not for a long visit then. I was just wondering if you gave any thought to our discussion this morning." She pressed.
Not wanting to be completely rude to her, Taehyung tore his eyes away for a second, gaze falling to her. "Jungkook and I are discussing our next steps. I'm sure once my father arrives, we will make a decision then."
Victoria batted her fake lashes while inching toward Taehyung's desk. "Don't you think you would be perfect for this? I've mean you've already learned so much in such a short time and every department seems to be achieving small growths." She rested her hand on the chair placed before Taehyung's desk and leaned over slightly. "I'd say you belong here," she cocked her brow.
Taehyung gulped as the small crease in Victoria's breast became visible above her low cut blouse where his gaze met briefly. Chanting to himself that he was no longer the man that took such an easy bait, he cleared his throat, sat up from his desk and walked over to her.
"Miss Baxter, your suggestion in this matter is respected. I'm sure without me being here, this company will continue to thrive as it has. Whoever takes this seat will be a perfect fit."
"No one could be more perfect than you Mr. Kim." She strutted away from the chair, moving closer to her boss. "I'm sure you can find something else besides the company to tie you to New York." She grinned.
An immediate thought of Sierra entered Taehyung's mind. He has yet to elaborate on this subject with her and grew aggravated at Victoria's persistence.
"Miss Baxter..."
"Unless you have someone special you must go home to, I can understand your hesitation." She added, clenching her fists tight in order not to touch him, though the temptation was eating away at her.
"I don't see how that is any of your business." Taehyung's irritation carried into his cavernous tone.
Victoria smirked. "I wasn't trying to pry Mr. Kim. Just trying to understand, how a handsome and successful man as yourself manage to balance that's all."
Too close for his liking, Taehyung slid away from Victoria and walked toward his exit. He opened the door to meet Jungkook who was standing behind it, ready to knock.
"I think this conversation is over Miss Baxter. Have a good evening."
Victoria bit down on her lip in frustration before turning toward Taehyung and nodding. She switched passed him, giving him a soft, seductive smile before leaving. Jungkook stepped aside to let her out.
Taehyung raked his fingers through his hair as a heavy sigh passed his lips before taking his seat back in his chair.
With food in his hand, Jungkook shook his head and closed the door behind him. "What was that all about?"
"That woman is on my nerves. I'm trying my best to be cordial and professional but she is..."
"Slutting her way into your pants?" Jungkook grinned as he sat their dinner onto Taehyung's desk.
"She just won't quit." Taehyung mumbled.
"Fire her. You're the boss." Jungkook suggested.
"Unfortunately, she very good at her job."
"There's always someone better." A sudden thought swiveled Jungkook's mind, "you don't think she knows about Sierra, do you?"
Taehyung began undoing the carton of his work-from-his-desk dinner that he would have to partake on in order to finish his report. "She probably has an idea. I wasn't very subtle when I left her at a lunch in New Orleans just to find Sierra. Plus we didn't leave the room for a..." He trailed before realizing he was about to admit an unspoken truth.
Jungkook's eyes widened as his lips spread into a smile. "You didn't leave the room?"
Taehyung cleared his throat to amend himself. "Let's just finish this so we can work, hm?"
