Yeona wasn't supposed to be in the palace, she should've gone back to Chunhwa but she wasn't prepared to go back to the life of a gisaeng. She wanted to live in the palace and be treated like a princess. She managed to find her way to Sogyeokseo, she wanted to see the witch rumoured to be in charge of Sogyeokseo she knew the witch would be able to help her. Not knowing exactly where to go, Yeona walked into the first room that caught her attention. It was a large and mostly empty room except for the large shrine set up at the end of the room and a long black carpet leading from the door to the shrine. Yeona looked around the room, it was so dark even though it was daytime. “Is there anyone here?” she called out. Yeona walked further into the room, drawn in by the shrine. It was strange to her as she was unaware of what god this shrine was dedicated to. It was the head of a goat with large horns, decorated with black and white cloths and surrounded by unlit candles.

“You shouldn't walk into a room uninvited young lady and you most certainly shouldn't be in Sogyeokseo” Yeona heard a voice say. She gasped and turned around, a woman wearing a black hanbok stood staring at her coldly. Yeona knew at once that she was in front of the witch in charge of Sogyeokseo. She fell to her knees and reached out to grab the woman's hanbok. “Please, I don't want to live in the gibang anymore. I want to be here in the palace as the Prince's concubine” Yeona said and bowed her head. “Do not waste my time girl I am Ji Soo head of Sogyeokseo, I don't entertain such trivial requests!” “Please you have to help me, I'll do anything I swear!” Yeona pleaded. Ji Soo scoffed and looked down at the gisaeng kneeling at her feet, humans were foolish and it was their greatest flaw. “Foolish girl, that is a dangerous promise how can you be so sure that you'll do anything?” Ji Soo asked her. Yeona raised her head up and stared Ji Soo directly in the eyes, she stood up so that they were face to face. “I said I will do anything and I'm not leaving this place until you grant my request” Yeona said. Ji Soo smiled mischievously, this girl's ambition was rather amusing. She really had no idea what she was asking for. “Very well, I will grant your request and I will take something from you in return” Ji Soo said. Yeona took a step back and swallowed. “What do you want me to give you?” The candles at the shrine suddenly lit up and Yeona turned to see the goat heads eyes turn red, She felt Ji Soo standing right behind her and heard her whisper into her ear “Your soul”.......
