The sound of an alarm woke me up from my dream. When I opened my eyes, I saw the sun pouring out of the window right in front of me. I took in my surroundings, they were different. I realised that I wasn't in my own bedroom. Quickly, I threw the soft warm duvet of me and the cold, January air hit my warm body creating goosbumps. The sound of someone soft breathing told me that there was someone else in the room with me. I turned around to find a sleeping figure of Rosie on the same bed as me. Suddenly, the reality of last night hit me. The burnt flat, my jump, police, fire, Liam.... Liam. Thinking about his name made my heart go wild. I couldn't understand why my heart was beating so fast. It was actually ridiculous. I shook my head and went in the bathroom to have a nice warm shower. Finding the bathroom was not very hard because Rosie's flat was identical to mine as it was two doors down the street.

The hot, steaming water felt so nice on my cold body. It was relaxing. After 15mins of having shower and cleaning all the yesterday night's dirt of myself, I wrapped the towel around and went inside Rosie's bedroom. Slowly, I shook her and she woke up with with sleep still in her eyes.

"Alice? what are you doing so early in the morning?" Rosie asked in her husky voice because of her sleep.

"I just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so I just went to have a shower, is it alright?" I asked with an unsure voice.

"Silly, you are living with me now so this flat is yours too. Anyway, why are you just in your towel?" Rosie asked with curiousity clear in her eyes.

"I woke you up to ask if it's okay to borrow your clothes, since mine will be burned to ashes by now"

"Yeah, sure. So ahead and wear whatever you like. I am going back to sleep because we spent way too much time talking than sleeping" with that said, Rosie yawned and pulled the duvet over her body.

I went to her wardrobe and pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans with a sky blue, full-sleeved top with some silver designing on it. Once I was dressed, I went over to the dresser and brushed my ash brown hair.

I went to the kitchen to see if there is anything to eat. I opened the fridge and got a carton of orange juice and poured it in a glass. I toasted 2 sclices of bread and sat down on the breakfast bar. While eating, I thought what will I do next. Right now, I am staying with my friend but sooner or later, I would need to move out of there until my flat gets fixed. I would need to call the fixing men to re-decorate the shop downstair and I need to call dad and tell him to stay in Italy for a while because there no where that I can keep him. Maybe I can ask Liam but I don't want to burden him too much. Thinking about Liam, I remembered that I have to go with him somewhere this afternoon. I looked around the kitchen to see if there is a pen and a sheet of paper, when I noticed that there was a sticky note stuck on one of her top kitchen cupboards.  I quickly scribbled a message down for Rosie.
