Recap:

“Thanks for helping out today. I had a great time.” Liam said looking directly into my eyes.

“You’re welcome and I had a lovely time too. And Liam, can you drop me off at the site so I can see how long will it take for them to finish off”

“Okay, come along”

30mins

“Thanks for the ride and drive safely! And take care dad, I will come to see you tomorrow” I said to Liam.

“Bye Ally!” They both said.

I looked at the men working on the flat, painting it and wiring all the electricity. It was nearly done. So, I decided to walk to the church because it was nearly time for the practice anyway.

“Hey Alice. You came! I thought you would never come”

“Hello Chris. And yes, of course I would come. I haven’t played violin so long!”

“Come on, I introduce you to everyone else in the team!”

“Haha okay”

Chapter 12

“1,2,3, let’s start again!” Chris said.

We all groaned in respond. It’s been a long time since we started practicing for this song. He is just never satisfied. He always finds some mistakes. It’s so frustrating!

“C’mon Chris! I wanna go home now” Stella the pianist said.

“Just one more time then you guys can go home. Fine?” Chris said rubbing his temple like he was also tired.

“Fine!” grumbled Stella.

Finally, he agreed to something! Just when the music stopped everyone stood up, packed everything up and started to say goodbyes to each other and heading out towards the door. Just as I was about to go, Chris called me.

“Yeah?” I asked

“Am I so bad that people just want to go from here?” Chris asked with sadness in his green eyes.

“Oh no! It’s just that you have so much passion about the music that you forget about everything else. Look, we do get tired after a while of playing the same song again and again” I said soothingly.

“I guess you’re right. I will try not to make you guys work extra hard. But we do have an event coming up so I want you guys to perform amazingly.”

“Yes sir!” I salute Chris mockingly.

“You played wonderfully, Alice. Your voice is just so different. I love it”

“Thank you. You were a not that bad either” I said smirking while trying to hide my stupid blush from the previous compliment.

The song giving me a heart attack by One Direction comes of telling me that Liam is calling me. Yes, I deliberately chose this ringtone. Kill. Me. Now!

“Hi” I said

“Hey Ally. What’s up?” Liam asked in a cheerful tone.

“Oh, just finished the choir practice and now I was talking with Chris”

Liam didn’t speak for a couple of minutes. I thought the phone was disconnected.

“Hello?” I said.
