Recap:-

No, it’s just a stupid crush I have on Liam, nothing more. I don’t even know if he feels the same way towards me.  I mean he is sweet, caring, and gorgeous but I am nowhere near it.

“Alice!!!” Rosie shouts near my ear, I am sure she has busted my ear drum! If not, then there must be some internal damage to it because seriously she shouted really loud.

“What?” I asked annoyed because she just interrupted my thoughts.

“No need to get annoyed. Dinner is ready. What movie would you like to watch?”

“I don’t mind. I’ll watch anything.”

“Fine, we’ll watch The Notebook.”

3 Hours Later

“Alice?”

“Hmm?”

“You and Liam look cute together.” It wasn’t a question but it was a statement.

“Don’t be stupid. It’s nothing like that”

“I can see it in both of yours eyes. Even if I have only seen Liam once”

“To be honest, I don’t know what I feel towards him. Let’s just go to bed; I am awfully tired” I said tiredly, dismissing the conversation.

“Fine! But you should talk to him about it”

I just ignore her and go to bed. I know it’s rude but I really don’t want to talk about it. I am still thinking about Liam, my mind doesn’t stop thinking about him! With that I fall asleep into a dreamless sleep.

Chapter 10:-

Loud drilling machines where making my head ache. I just talked to the manager who will be repairing our building; Liam and I had given him the specific instructions needed to make the workshop and flat look modern and contemporary. I haven’t received any phone calls from my dad but hopefully he will be fine.

“Do you want to come with me to church?” Liam asked

“Erm...sure, I mean, there is nothing better for me to do. By the way, why are you going to the church?” I asked curiously.

“Oh, the priest there wants me to do a painting in the main entrance of the church so I am going to talk to him about that”.

“Okay, cool. Let’s get going!”

The drive to church was short. Me and Liam made some small talk about how life was and he never mentioned a thing about the portrait he had me. I guess he is ignoring that topic but I don’t understand why.

As we entered into the church, I noticed it was exactly the same as before. I used to come here with dad every Sunday when I was in primary school. After that I started asking questions about mum and because of that we grew apart.  It feels really sad to be honest.

“Hello, my name is Aaron Green. How may I help you?”

“Hi, I’m Liam Matthews and this is Alice Spence. You called me yesterday to talk about a painting to put in the main entrance.”

“Ooh! Of course, please come in, we will talk in my office. Follow me.”

We walked to the priest’s office. The in the middle of the room was a dark wood mahogany desk with papers, stamps, pens and a computer. Opposite the desk was a huge stained glass window and the typical English weather could be seen through it. It was dark and cloudy, but thankfully there was not a single drop of rain in sight.
