"Who are you here to see?" The receptionist at the front desk asked.

     "Angelo McBride." I replied.

She typed on her computer for a few seconds and then looked back up to me, "Room 522."

I thanked her and walked to the elevator. I watched as the numbers rose until they stopped at the number 5. The doors opened and I walked out, starting down the hallway lined with rooms.

I stopped at room 522 and I paused there. I was scared to go in. I was scared that he wouldn't look how he usually did; That he wouldn't act how he usually did.

I mustered up the courage to knock on the door anyway.

"Who is it?" A female voice behind the door asked.

     "It's Melena." I replied.

     "Come in." She said.

I opened the door to see Angelo laughing and joking around with a nurse. I was glad to see him laughing.

"Ahh! Look who it is!" Angelo said once he saw me, "Paula she's my girlfriend."

I rolled my eyes and chuckled, "He must be doped up on meds?"

"Surprisingly no." The nurse, Paula, said while laughing, "I'll be back later to check on you."

The nurse left, leaving me and Angelo in the room together alone.

It felt weird. The last time me and Angelo were alone, he almost died.

"How are you?" He asked me.

"I'm fine." I said, "You're the one I should be asking that question."

He chuckled, "How is everything. Has anything weird happened?"

I didn't want to tell him about the rat or what I found out in the car or what Noki had told me. He was already in the hospital and I didn't want to put any more pressure on him.

     "Everything's perfectly fine." I lied.

"Are you sure?" He asked skeptically.

     "Of course."

     He eyed me.

"Yes, I'm fine! Geez!" I chuckled.

"Okay, okay." He laughed with me, "I'm just a little worried since after the crash."

Crash. Not accident. But crash. Maybe he has the same suspicions as me.

"I'm fine." I said again to reinsure that I was, "When are you admitted out?"

     "Actually, tonight." He said excitedly.

"Really?" I asked, excited but concerned, "Isn't it a little too soon?"

"I guess you didn't miss me Mel," he chuckled, "but the doctor said that I'm much better and I can go home."

"Okay." I said, "Well I'll see you later on tonight."

"Byeeeee Melbearrrr!" He laughed as I walked out of the room.

I small smile forced its way as I walked out.

I sat at my work desk as I finished off my homework, but that didn't last long. Unsolved questions began to dance around in my head, frustrating me because I had no answers for them. Then I remembered something that I planned to do.
