My Sunday was as normal as any: I got coffee, ran errands, worked on my school work, hung out with Jacob and Zoey, and chilled by myself in my dorm room until it got dark. Once it did, I decided to go to the Diamond Den.

I put on a hoodie since it was a little chilly outside and started for the door. When I opened the door, Angelo was standing behind it with groceries. We stared at each other for a while until I saw that his arms were in an uncomfortable position while he was trying to hold the groceries and I stepped to the side to let him come in and set them down. Once he did he turned back to me and we stared at each other again.

"Hey." He said to break the silence.

     "Hey." I replied.

"God!" He exclaimed, putting his hand over his face, "Why is it so awkward?"

     "I don't know." I looked down.

"I can't even talk to you the same anymore." He said with his hand still over his face.

"Why not?" I asked. My hands started to get sweaty.

He looked down at me and my eyes met his, "Because I have feelings for you Mel."

My heart started pounding in my chest.

"Not just in a 'I think you're cute' or 'You seem like fun' type of way." He started back talking, "Every time I see you I get excited and I haven't been able to get you out of my head and I don't know what to do about it."

"Angelo," I started to talk as butterflies swarmed in my stomach, "I don't know what to say."

"You probably don't feel the same way." He said defeatedly.

I didn't know what to say at the moment. Angelo was still a major asshole to me. Sure he kissed me, twice, but that doesn't mean anything. That was just his idea of a one way ticket into my pants.

     Definitely not letting that happen.

"I have somewhere I need to be." I said and before I felt guilty about my words, I turned to leave the room.

I walked through the front doors of the Diamond Den, which was completely dark. The only light in the house was light from the moon that poured into the house from each of the large window and reflected off of numerous objects.

The house was ominous and sketchy and I didn't want any part of whatever the Beta's invited me for. I decided to leave while I still could.

I turned around only to be confronted by a figure wearing a black cloak and a devil mask. I turned around to run but I was confronted by three more cloaked devils. I couldn't run out of the door and I couldn't run in the direction of the stairs where I could probably find help, so I did the first thing to come to my mind. I ran to the side in the direction of one of the windows.

I heard the sound of rapid footsteps behind me. Once I reached a window, I unclasped it and pushed the double windows open. Once I was about to jump out of the window, a pair of arms wrapped around my midsection and threw me from the windowsill. I crashed to the floor head first, the back of my head slamming hard against the hardwood floor. My head pounded and through my dizziness, I could see the cloaked devils hovering over me and my first instinct was to fight.

I swung on one of them but they all grabbed my arms before I could reach him. They tied my wrists together with a thick rope and knotted it tightly. After they did that, they put a strip of heavy duty duct tape across my mouth, making it difficult to scream for help.
