Chapter Seventeen: Popcorn

Chapter Seventeen

"Cody." I got up from the couch throwing my bag of popcorn on the ground.

"Hi." He half-smiled.

"What are you doing here?" I asked rudely, . All the doors were locked, did he break in?

"I actually don't know." He scratched the back of his neck.

"Oh my god you two!" Alli yelled walking down the stairs into the room. "I dragged Cody here because you two need to work things out! Neither two of you are leaving until you work things out!" She smirked before shutting the door and locking it.

"I have nothing to say." I thought to myself as a I sat on the couch and continued watching the movie.

We sat for a while not saying a word to each other when I broke the silence.

"How's you and Kylie doing?" I asked.

"What? We aren't a thing." He said caught off guard by the question.

"So that's what you do huh? Treat girls like you really care about them then just toss them aside?" I rolled my eyes. I can't believe I fell for his little game.

"What? No!" He stood up looking at me.  "Alex, that kiss was a huge mistake! We were just talking and all of a sudden she kissed me! I regret it so much and I'm so so sorry."

"You kissed her back!" I stood up holding back my tears.

"And I regret it so much." He tried touching my shoulders but I flicked him.

"You're just sorry because you didn't know I was watching. You regret it so much because you didn't realize how much it was gonna hurt me, but you know what? It didn't. I knew this was going to happen. I knew.." I was on the verge of crying Cody leaned in and kissed me. What the hell are you doing? I tried to pull away but he continued kissing. Finally I gave up and kissed him back. He pulled me closer as he wrapped his hands around my waist. I wrapped my hand around Cody's neck as he smiled. We kissed for who knows how long before we stopped to breathe.

"Wow." Cody blushed as we both sat on the couch.

"What was that for?" I smiled as I laid down.

"The kiss?" Cody asked stroking my hair. "To shut you up." He laughed.

I sat up pretending to be offended, but Cody just pulled me back and kiss me on the cheek.

"And I've been waiting to do that ever since I laid eyes on you." He smirked.

Awwe. I wrapped my hand around his neck. I've missed him. I just hope things can go back to normal.

"Are you guys done yet? I want some popcorn!" Alli yelled.

Well I guess they will.
