Chapter Nineteen: The Truth

Chapter Nineteen

"Can I speak with you for a second?" I asked Kenny. Well it was more like commanding cause I dragged him by the ear into the kitchen.

"What the heck? Why are you dating her?" I growled looking at Cody Shake hands with her.

"She's not a bad person Alex!" Kenny half yelled-half whispered.

"Are you out of your..."

"Wow, wow what's going on?" Cody asked walking into the kitchen.

"He's dating Stacy, AKA Daisy's sidekick." I pointed my finger at Kenny.

"What's wrong with that?" Cody raised an eyebrow.

"Daisy's the one the bullied me." I sat on the counter.

"Wow." Cody said walking up to me. "I'm sorry Kenny, but I'm on Alex's side."

I smiled hugging him and mouthing a thanks.

"Do you really think I would date someone that hurt my best friend?" Kenny placed both of his hands on his hip.

I was about to say yes when he continued.

"No."

I nodded my head telling him to continue.

"It all started about three months ago when you left school. I was by my locker one day when the girls came back and started bugging me about you. They wanted to know where you were, they wanted answers that I would never tell them. They then began pushing me when Stacy told them to stop. They looked at her before they dragged her along with them. Later on in the day I saw her with a pink mark on her cheek. A couple weeks later while I was walking home I found Daisy and her crew stuffing Stacy into a garbage bin. I quickly grabbed her when we ran all the way to my house. Once we were safe she finally told me the truth. The whole truth." Kenny took a deep breathe hugging Stacy who entered the kitchen.

I smiled. They did look cute together.

"What truth?" I said continuing to smile at the two love birds.

"It's okay. You can tell them." Kenny smiled sitting on the counter across from me and Cody.

"The only reason I watched Daisy bully you for all those years was because when I was younger both my parents lost their jobs. We were broke and lost everything counting our house. The only way we could of lived was by using the money that was saved for my college. So we did. We were able to live in a apartment where both my parents got a job. However, my whole future was gone. I was walking home from school when Daisy came up to me and offered me a job. She said if I was her slave, her helper, she would pay me. At first, I said yes but then she started hurting you and I told her I would quit. She then threatened me and said that if I did she would tell the whole school I was poor and she would threaten to find a way to get my parents fired. I'm so sorry I watched her all these years. I didn't realize how selfish I was for caring more about my future then about other things like how much it hurt you. I was hoping you would.."

"Apology accepted." I said jumping off the counter and hugging her. "You were not being selfish. You were protecting your whole family." I smiled wiping her tears away.

"Here babe let's get you settled into my room." Kenny said holding her hand as they walked up the stairs.

They were so cute! I'm glad he's found someone who he can be happy with.

"You're perfect, you know that right?" A felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

"I wouldn't really call myself perfect." I smirked turning around.

"Then what?" He said as we walked over to the couch.

"More like... Understanding." I tapped my chin. "Nope I don't think so. More like, ugly?" I nodded my head at my own statement.

"You're anything but ugly. You're beautiful, smart and my favourite thing about you, you have the most warmest heart a person can have." Cody said as a laid my head on his shoulder.

"At least I don't have the voice of an Angel." I blushed. Wait did I say that out loud?

"Awwe you really think so?" Cody giggled tugging a strand of hair behind my ear

I nodded as I felt my eyes begin to shut. I felt my head being lifted onto a pillow as I was still laying over Cody and he continued to brush my hair. My mind started blurring as the last thing I heard was a faint.

"I love you."

I'm sorry for not posting omg. Life has been busy! My school is about to start and I was trying to write as many chapters as I can before school starts! They'll all be posted soon I guess and this story is about to end soon! -cries-
