Chapter Fourteen

“So, should I be those girls that will never wash my hand or the cheek you touch?” I laughed looking down at our hands that were intertwined.

Cody and I were walking down the beach as Ryan, Kenny and Alli went out to get that pizza and ice cream for our movie night tonight. I think they did that just so Cody and I can get some alone time.

“You're so cute.” Cody smirked kissing my forehead.

It's literally been the best five days of my life! Ryan and Kenny were staying for a month! Can you believe that?

“Alex?” Cody said as he stopped walking.

“Yeah?” I turned so we were facing each other.

“I know we've only known each other for two months and I know we haven't been dating that long, but.” He said making me blush. He pulled out a small box. “Here, this is for you. He opened the box making me gasp.

It was a small necklace shaped as a open book. Inside was written A+C.

“Cody.” I hugged him. “You didn't have to do anything.”

He helped me place it around my neck as I hugged him again. This was the sweetest thing a guy's ever done. He leaned in to kiss me. This was the best month ever.

“Eyy Cody!” Jake yelled breaking us apart.

“Hey Jake!” I said hugging him. “How's my little babies?” I asked

“They are doing…” He started.

“Alex! Alex!” Little voices screamed running towards me.

“Hey, my little munchkins!” I dropped down to the sand to hug them.

I baby sat Poppy and Kipp when Jake and his parents would usually go out.

“You have to come see my new teddy bear! Please?” Poppy screamed in my ear as she tugged my shirt.

“It can’t wait till Saturday?” I asked standing up.

“Please?” She gave me her adorable puppy dog face. How can you say no to that?

“Fine, let’s go!” I said holding both of their hands as we walked to their house.

I looked back at Cody and gave him a ‘sorry’ look.

Cody’s POV:

EVERY SINGLE TIME! OH MY FRICKIN GOD! I WAS THIS CLOSE TO KISSING ALEX! AGAIN!

“So what’s up?” Jake asked as they left.

“Oh nothing.” I shrugged my shoulders. “Just Alex and I were about to kiss.” I gave a glare.

“Oh dude! I’m sorry!” He laughed.

“It’s okay.” I rolled my eyes. “Let’s go see how Alex is doing.”

We walked to the house just talking about random stuff. We walked in the house as I greeted Mr. and Mrs. Thurpp. I walked in kids room to find Alex playing with Kipp and Poppy. She was so cute with kids.

“Baby, wanna go now?” I asked entering the room.

“Sure!” She got up and kissed me on the cheek.

She said her goodbyes as she was about to walk out the door she slipped on a car toy.

“Alex!” I ran to her side. She looked down at her foot.

“Alex, are you okay?” Jake’s parents ran into the room. “What did I tell you about your toys?” They gave Kipp a lecture.

“Come on let’s go.” I said picking her up. She cried in pain as I lifted her leg.

“I’m sorry.” She hid her head in my chest. “I’m clumsy.”

“Awwe don’t be.” I kissed her forehead. “Don’t worry Dr. Simpson will take care of you.” She laughed as I carried her back to the house.

I slowly placed her on one of the couches as I ran upstairs and came back wrapping a gauze around her ankle.

“Are you okay?” Kenny asked as they came back with food.

“Don’t worry guys. Dr. Simpson took care of me.” She laughed wrapping her hands around my neck. “Everything is perfect.”

Now I'm relaxing until next week when I'm volunteering at a day camp for kids from 5-10. Kids are so cute omg. With their baby voices and they're so tiny !
