"Your majesty, you have another visitor."

Thoth announced, leading a familiar hot headed blonde into my presence.

"My Pharaoh,"

Thor began as he bowed in my presence. Good at least I don't have to tell him what to do in the presence of royalty.

"I have come to plead for the release of my brother."

I scoffed. Thor seemed confused by this but it was no matter. I would elaborate.

"Your brother is being held by charges of murder, assault of the pharaoh, and perjury. He can not simply be released by request of his brother. His time must be paid. I'm sorry, Thor, but that is simply the way it goes."

"Then May you replace him with someone else? May I take his place instead?"

I smiled softly and shook my head. What kind of man would want to take his brother's, a criminal and murder, place? There was certainly more to Thor and his relationship with Loki then I knew. And I was intrigued. I rested my head on the knuckles of my hand as I propped on the arm rest of my throne. With prominent eyes I gazed down at the prince.

"No. Your brother must pay for his own crimes. You may assist in his release but you may not take his place."

"Thank you, my lady. May I see him?"

"Not at this moment. You may see him at a later day. He is to be held without contact for the next few days."

Thor bowed his head and nodded distantly. I could see that he cared a lot for his brother but I didn't understand why. I searched him with my eyes, curious.

"Why do you care for him so much?"

"Who? Loki?"

"Yes. He is a villain, is he not?"

Thor smiled and looked me in the eyes with his crystal blue orbs.

"He is my brother."

"But that's just it, he isn't."

Thor cocked his head to the side and gave me a look of wonder. He stepped closer to my throne, timidly as if he wasn't sure of his next step.

"How- How did you know that?"

I smiled and straightened my composure. I gripped the scepter Of was tightly and cleared my throat.

"Thor I am the Pharaoh now. It is my job to know everything about all of Misr's enemies and companions."

Thor nodded slowly and his expression changed back into what it was before, when he spoke of Loki as his "brother".

"That may be so. He is not my brother, not by blood at least. But we were raised together. By the same father and mother. We were the only other person we had known for our childhood. Yes he may act out at times... trust me, my queen, I know that more then anyone, but Loki means well. He has ambitions yes, but he is blinded by them and his pride that they are not always the best. Trust me my lady, he is my brother, and I treat him as such."

I felt my eyes widen. How could one man love his not-brother so much? How could he love someone who had betrayed him time and time again as if he were his own flesh and blood.

"You intrigue me, Odinson. I should wish to have you around much more. I feel I can have much to learn from you, as do much of my people I'm sure of it."

Thor smiled widely and nodded his head.

"Thank you, my lady. I am honored."

"As you should be. I hope, between you and myself, that everything with your brother turns out alright in the end."

"I agree, I'm sure you know."

"You will make a great king of Asgard one day, and perhaps, maybe even a good king of Misr one day."

Thor chuckled at my comment and looked off in to the distance, out of the windows of the throne room.

"Perhaps."
