I entered the throne room of Odin. Loki walked patiently behind me, he refused to leave me on my own. I kneeled before the king.

"Your majesty."

I managed to spit out. Odin shifted upon his throne as he looked down at me.

"Queen Rashida. You have returned. Bringing my son with you, I see."

"I wish to keep our promise of peace, my lord. The promise that my father brought forwards to you many years ago."

Odin looked at me questioningly. He brought a finger to his chin and lightly stroked his beard as he gleamed at me with his one eye.

"You wish to marry one of my Sons?"

He asked in clarity of my words. I nodded.

"I shall send for Thor then. He must be aware of this news of his new bride."

"My lord, with all due respect, it is not Thor who I wish to marry."

This caught him off guard. This time he rose off of his golden throne and walked down towards me and Loki. He looked at me and then at Loki.

"You wish to marry Loki?"

He asked in surprise. He then glared at his son with something short of hate. He directed his full attention on Loki.

"This is not one of your tricks, is it, my son?"

Loki shook his head calmly before placing a hand upon my shoulder. He placed the other on my waist.

"I have seen great faith and strength in Rashida. I could never be able to cast a spell upon her. I have also seen what a powerful alliance she would prove to be of Asgard. I would be honored to give myself for such power that is hers. To better Asgard."

Odin turned his attention back to me, looking down upon me with concern. He gripped his staff tightly, much like my father did when ever he was concerned.

"You do understand that taking Loki as your husband will mean great responsibility for you? You realize that you will have to live out the rest of your days trust the god of mischief. Should you prove wrong with your faith it could cause your own death or the downfall of your people."

Was this concern I was seeing from the king of Asgard? Why would he be so concerned for me? Or was he just simply worried of Loki's power and the thirst of his ambitions. I've never seen a father afraid of his own son so much before.

"Odin, I truly understand all of these things. I must tell you that I am more then willing to take the risk. The marriage between myself and one of your sons was the final wish of my father and I will do anything to honor that. Living with Loki, mischief and all, is a risk I'm willing to take. Besides, Asgard needs Thor to be its king. I could never see Loki ruling Asgard, it just doesn't fit him. But ruling Misr by my side fits him quite well. My people need a king just like a child needs a father. A mother is a blessing but she can only do so much until she is worn out. I am worn out, Odin. I need a king to not only guide my people but to guide me. I see that in Loki. I see a man who will prove to be a great king not only to his people, but also to his queen."

Odin seemed slightly surprised by this comment. He stepped back and looked at both Loki and myself. As if he were picturing the two of us bonded through marriage. He then sighed and sat back down upon his golden throne.

"You have my blessing. You are right, Rashida, this was your father's last wish. You are noble to honor his last command."

I nodded my head slightly and smiled.

"Thank you my lord."

"But promise me one thing,"

Odin beckoned me to come closer. He replied in almost a whisper, just loud enough for me and him to hear.

"For your father's sake and my own. Be careful. Loki is my son and I love him as a father should but I know him most because I raised him. Do not let him mess with your mind. Please, be careful."
