" You don't have-" He gently put a finger on my lips to keep me quiet since he was only getting more and more mad at my words.

" I know but I want to," he said.

I looked at him in surprise. He had his hand around my wrist and after noticing my expression he let go. His cheeks got a bright shade of red and he turned his gaze to the window. After a few minutes, I said something to break the tension:

" Should we study now?"

He then looked at me and smiled as he said:

" Of course."

We studied for what seemed like forever until we heard his mom yell that dinner is ready. He and I looked at each other in relief but a few moments later a slight smirk appeared on his face. We knew exactly what this meant. Game on Aiden. I then stood up and glared at him for a while before I ran out of his room. While running down the hallway I heard him shut the door and yell towards me:

"You are not going to get there first in a million years!"

Soon he overtook me near the staircase, but I had a plan. I sat on the barricade of the stairs and slid down and somehow I was at the lead again. Running into the kitchen I saw his mom and quickly sat down at the table. He then walked into the room with a frown and gave me a death glare. I then said:

" Oooooh, I'm so scared."

I laughed at him.

" You should be."

He ran his hand through his hair. I laughed at this and soon he joined me. Tilting his head downwards I admired him as he did so. Then his mom set down three plates on the table and Aiden sat down next to me. I wondered what had happened to his father, but I thought that since this is one of the first times I had a real conversation with him it would be insensitive to ask. I took my fork and knife before cutting into my food. Then His mother spoke:

" So Angela, tell me a little bit about yourself."

I looked up from my food and said:

" Well I'm 17 years old, I live a few blocks away with my dad, mom and sister. I lived in India for 4 years and now I study in Ridgemont High."

She looked at me in surprise.

" India huh? Tell me about that."

I told her about my story.

" I moved there when I was 10 in New Delhi. I spent my first year at home because there was no place in my school, but I think it was worth the wait. I made many good friends that I talk to till this day. I visited some places and I enjoyed it very much."

She nodded with understanding and then Aiden stood up and said:

" Come on now I will drop you off at your house. It's getting late."

" Oh, why can't she stay here for the night? You guys wouldn't have any problem since you are dating."

We both looked at each other with shocked expressions. I gulped from nervousness and he noticed this. He then spoke:

" I wouldn't want her parents to worry."

Then I gave him a look that said ' I got this' and I said:

" I'll stay."
