"Are you sure? Because once you go in, there's no coming out unless you find Austin's memory."
"I'm sure." I say confidently.
"Ok, if you're sure, then you'll have to know how to do it. When I transfer you to my mind, I'll connect our minds and I will then devour yours, taking control of it. You will then wake up in a hospital with people surrounding you. They will ask you a specific question and you will give a specific answer. They will ask "When does the sun shine?" and you will respond with "Only when you're near". Have you got that?"
"Yeah"
"Is there anyone you want to say goodbye to before you enter my mind?" I thought for a second. I won't say bye to my "parents", because they're probably already hoping that I'm dead. Not Gabs or Jonathan, I doubt they will remember me either. Then there's Austin. I can't. It will just hurt me even more.
"No."
"Do you want me to fake your death, or let you just mysteriously disappear?"
"Disappear."
"Ok, let's get this show in the road, umm, pardon the pun, ever since I'm part of the circus and e-"
"Hurry up"
"Right, yeah, umm. Ok, hold my hands."
"Serious?"
"Do want to save your boyfriend?" I sighed then grabbed his hands.
"Thank you, it's not really necessary, it's just you have such nice hands..." There was an awkward silence and I gave him a dissatisfied look and dropped his hands.
"Ok. Put your forehead to mine."
"Is it necessary?"
"Yes, it actually is this time." I leaned my head towards him and our foreheads touched. There was a sudden burning sensation in my forehead, it felt like someone was branding my skin. I blacked out from the pain. Or so I thought.
I woke, head throbbing, throat sore. My eyes wouldn't open, but I heard voices.
"She's waking doctor!"
"She's not breathing! Hurry up with that air mask!"a strong male voice demanded.
"Yes doctor!"the female voice replied.
"Give that to me!"I felt someone lift my head and put a mask on me. I didn't realise my lungs were burning from lack of oxygen until the mask was pumping it in.
"She's stable." the man finally said. He let out a big sigh."When does the sun shine." he breathed calmly. I gasped as I tried to speak.
"Only when y...you're near." He let out a big sigh.
"Thank god, she was sent. It's ok guys, she was sent." he shouted to an audience that I couldn't see. I tried opening my eyes again but they felt glued shut.
"It's ok, we glued yours eyes shut to make it seem more realistic." he sprayed something on my face and they opened immediately.
Centimetres away from my face was a another. His features were perfect. He looked like an older version of Austin but his hair was a bit brown rather than black. He was wearing a doctor'a uniform and was very handsome. He opened my mouth and sprayed something that fixed my sore throat.
"Hi, I'm Bethany." I said, smiling weakly.
"Hello Bethany, I'm Oscar."
