Oscar quickly closed his mouth, trying to hide his surprise.
"How long have you been dating him?"
"Umm, about four months now. Why?"
"Why!? I haven't seen him for several months now and he's my brother. That's why." He paused to think. "How long have you known that we were brothers?" He asked jumping to conclusions. I had to confess.
"The first time I saw you."
"But how did you know I was his brother?"
"Because he talked of you a little, and when you told me your name, that confirmed it."
"He talked about me?"
"Only when you disappeared, and... when they had your funeral."
"They gave me a funeral...?" He said sounding guilty.
"Yeah, they thought you were dead... Well, I'm going to bed because I'm getting really tired." I went to lie down but Oscar caught my arm before I did.
"One more question," He said, "Why didn't you mention this before."
"So this conversation wouldn't happen." I blurted out. He looked confused.
"Why wouldn't you want this conversation to happen?" He said, still holding my arm. Oh boy. Now he's got me, but when I thought about it, I didn't really know either.
"Umm..." His facial expression was a mixture of hurt and confusion.
"Why?" He demanded. I sighed, wishing I didn't say those words.
"So you wouldn't feel bad about kissing your brothers girlfriend I suppose." He looked really confused now. "I'm sorry." I whispered, looking down at his hand on my arm. He quickly let go and stood. I looked up at him as he looked down.
"Get some sleep. We're going to the palace tomorrow." He said curtly as his eyes burned into mine. He swiftly turned and walked out the room, closing the door behind him. I let out a big sigh and closed my eyes as my head gently rested on the pillow.
