I looked at the three pairs of eyes that bored into mine. I took a big gulp and spoke.
"It's none of your business." I said acting righteous. Lily scoffed.
"Ooh, yeah, sure, none of my business."
"She's right you know." Oscar said. Lili and the two others spun around to look at the Oscar who stood in the doorway the led to the hallway.
"Stop pestering her and get ready for tomorrow." I let out a sigh of relief.
"Don't think you can get let off the hook either," Oscar said as he pointed to me, "get to work." He said, not as a request, but an order. I quickly stood and binned my sandwich, suddenly not feeling hungry any more. I was confused and angry. Not just because of what just occurred, but everything that had happened to me. I was thinking about why I was here and Claudius crept into my mind. Anger burned through me. It was suddenly banking up, like a dam on my river of emotion, and I felt overwhelmed. I quickly rinsed my plate and ran out into the living area. No one was there anymore. I looked around for something to distract me, some form of escape, but nothing came to mind. I looked around the room again and was feeling like someone had attached me to the electricity running through the house. Charged. I had to release these emotions in a 'healthy' way, as Austin would say. Austin. A stab of longing coursed through my body and I realised I had to get out of here. I ran over to the hatch which was open on the house end and the ladder was down. I climbed the rungs, wanting desperately to get out of here. I got to the top and twisted the wheel, which was quite loose now from our recent ventures outside. It flipped over on its hinges and it landed with a thud on the grass. I climbed out and on to the grass. The forest had a chilly wind blowing through it and I felt the energy spike in my body. I ran towards the wall of green pine needles and I pushed past branch after branch, wanting to get away from the house. I ran and ran 'till my legs were burning, but I didn't care. It felt like ages since I'd ran. My legs weren't ready for the stress I put then through. They weren't the only ones who were stressed and in pain. I eventually slowed down to a stop and collapsed on the soft carpet of dead pine needles. My breathing was heavy and I felt the burn in my oxygen deprived lungs that were screaming for a breath of air. I slowly sat up and looked around the forest. It was silent. Nothing made a sound apart from the gentle rustling of the pine trees in the wind. I fell back onto the pine needles and closed my eyes, which eventually led to sleep.
