Lili and Oscar groaned as they heard the noise.
"What do they mean." I shouted over the sirens at Oscar.
"Allegra, Rachel take Beth to the kitchen and get her some food." The two girls nodded and took me away from the blaring sirens. They sat me on the stools in front of the bench and asked me what I wanted.
"Umm, can I have a PB and J sandwich?"
"Sure." Rachel said and she started making it. Rachel was quite beautiful as well, she had long dark brown wavy hair and pale skin. Her brown eyes matched her hair and she wore track pants and a Tshirt. Allegra turned to me and started conversation.
"So, why did he send you here?" I looked at her beautifully straight light brown hair, admiring the washed out red look.
"Hello, Earth to Beth?" she waves her hand in front of my face and I realised that I was day dreaming.
"Oh, right, sorry. Umm, he kinda took my boyfriend's memory. How 'bout you?"
"He took my sister's memory. Her name was Shakiera. Rachel's here because he took her friends memory. What was his name again?" Allegra said, looking over to Rachel.
"His name was Ed. I'd known him since year one. Its rather sad." She looked glum then handed me my sandwich.
"Thanks." I said before I took a big bite of it.
"What were those sirens about?" I asked.
"They mean that someone has just arrived and that they're gonna wake up soon." Rachel answered leaning against the bench.
"Do you want to go see them wake up. I'm sure we haven't missed much." Allegra said, sounding exited.
"Umm, ok." I responded, feeling a bit overwhelmed. They took me down the same hallway as before and stopped outside the door.
"Have a listen." Allegra whispered as she pressed her ear to the door. I listened into the conversation that was muffled through the door, but still audible.
"She's stable." Oscar sighed as he recited the script. He sighed again then said,
"When does the sun shine?" There was a long silence after that then a gasp from the patient. She mumbled something that was unintelligible. There was scuffling inside then Oscar shouted so we could hear clearly.
"It's ok, she's been sent." Allegra and Rachel sighed in relief. I heard Oscar explain to the patient what's happening and Allegra and Rachel took me back the rec-room before Oscar came out with the patient. The girl he brought with her had wild auburn coloured hair and had freckles and blue eyes.
"Hi, I'm Autumn."
