Just a quick note so you know who the characters are in the story. Your mothers name is Clara and your fathers called Alfred; in this first chapter you are only young around the age of 15 years old. These characters however will only be in this chapter of the story. Disclaimer as well this story line and characters don't belong to me they belong to the people who create the story of Narnia. However the first chapter and characters in it are mine. WARNING - This chapter may be a bit gory for someone younger readers.

It was nearly midnight and although it was midsummer, the night had brought a cold chill with it. You laid in bed hugging the blanket close trying to keep in the warmth; while listening to your parents conversation in the other room. It wasn't like you had to really listen to hear the conversation. The walls of small hut was so thin that it sounded as if they were standing right there; in room with you. Most of the conversation had been about the boring events of the day; of how your fathers wages seemed to decrease more and more as the days when on. You was about to roll over and block out the voices, however as the tone in your fathers voice changed you knew this was a conversation you didn't want to miss.

"Clara I'm worried for our safety of Y/N's safety, I saw something at the castle that I wish I hadn't seen." Albert whisper just loud enough for you to hear.

"What is it my dear what did you see?" Clara answered back with curiosity in her voice.

"I saw the king ..."

"You saw the king what" Your mother pushed even more wanting to know what was worrying your father so much.

"I saw the king get ... murder ... by his own brother."

"What"

"Miraz saw me... I ran before anything could happen. But I know he will be coming for me; for us ... maybe even for Y/N. He won't want the risk of us telling anyone. We need to get out of here as soon as possible." Your father let out a sigh knowing you wouldn't be to please to have to leave the kingdom.

Your eyes widened and you could feel your lungs grow heavy at the statement your father had just made. You were only young but you know what this meant, the kings knights would be on there way to your home soon ready to kill not only your mother and father but also you.

"We'll leave first thing in the morning, I'll make sure to start packing tonight." your mother said shuffling around the kitchen.

You jumped slightly at the sound of a bang where the front door had been kicked in and the shuffling of feet on the stone floor could be heard. You didn't want to move but you knew you couldn't just sit in bed waiting for your fate. Your feet felt like ice once they had touched the cold stone floor; not that you had noticed you were to busy thinking of your mother and father and how this would be the last time you would ever get to see them. Begging words and screams echo's through the small house as you peeked around the wall making sure to stay hidden. The sight before you was something you wish you had never seen, your father on his knees with a knife pressed to his throat just hard enough that it left a small trickle of blood running down his neck, and your mother getting dragged across the floor by her hair to join your father. As your mother knelled down she locked eyes with yours, you watched as a single tear ran down her cheek. You knew what was about to happen, you wanted to cry, to run to your parents but you knew better then that you knew your mother wanted you to stay hidden. "Run" your mother mouthed to you seconds before the knight slit her throat. That was it, you couldn't bare to look at them anymore, turning on your heel you ran out the back door and into the forest.
