An Old Friend

The morning had started off rather peaceful as everyone was waking up of the day quite slowly; obviously tried from the events of the day before. Trufflehunter had served everyone porridge for breakfast and a range of freshly picked berries from the forest. After eating you had a washed and dressed yourself (clothes in the picture above) making sure to attach Edmund's sword around your waist and throw on your dark green clock, You rushed back into the small dining room where you had all eaten that morning after hearing a load of noise followed by Trufflehunters shouts and a door being slammed.

"What happened?"You asked running into the room "Wheres Caspian?"

"Ran off into the forest, to find others " Nikabrik answered obviously not caring for Caspian's safety.

"We need to stop him, there's no telling what the other narnian's will do if they find him." you half shouted heading for the door.

"Let them kill him, it will be at easier for us." Nikabrik answered once again. You understood why Nikabrik hated him so much he was a telmarine but he was also like you someone who had lost people who were close to you, someone who had been chase out of there own home. And if their was a chance of Caspian getting his home back and the Narnia's getting theirs you was going to help no matter what it took.

"You know we can't just leave him Nikabrik, I agree with y/n we need to go after him now, before he gets himself hurt." Trufflehunter spoke up heading towards the door with you.

You, Trufflehunter and the unwilling Nikabrik had followed Caspian into the forest making sure to stay hidden. It was clear that he wanted to go by himself but you know that if we where to run into the narnian's he would need you there, to help reason with them. You had followed him for quite some time deep into the forest when he stopped and turned around. Hiding behind a tree and holding your breath you hoped that he wouldn't spot you.

"I can hear you" he called out with a sigh. Trufflehunter and Nikabrik stepped out from behind the trees they were hidden behind however you decided that it was best you stayed hidden hoping he thought it was just the two following him, that way if he was to send them back you would be able to continue to following him.

"I just think we should wait for the kings and queens." Trufflehunter spoke stepping closer to Caspian.

"I know your there as well y/n" Caspian shouted now walking away from the badger and dwarf.

"Fine go then, see if the others will be understanding" Trufflehunter spoke once again as you walked out from behind a tree.

"I might just come with you, would love to see you explain things to the minotaurs" you now spoke, trying to catch up with Caspian.

Once again Caspian had stopped now turning to look at you "Minotaur's there real?"

You nodded at Caspian "and very bad tempered" You knew what the minotaurs were like all to well and how they had a horrible temper. When Trufflehunter first introduced you to many of the narnians the minotaurs where against you staying, but as the years when on they had slowly warmed up to you, however you know they were still cautions about you.

"Not to mention big" Nikabrik spoke for the first time

"Huge" Trufflehunter add gesturing with his hands

"What about centaurs do they still exist?" Caspian asked now curios to know what other mythical creatures where in the woods.

"Well the centaurs will properly fight on your side but there is no telling what the others will do." Trufflehunter spoke now continuing to walk but was once again stopped when Caspian continue to ask of others.

"What about Aslan?"

"How do you know so much about Narnia ?" you asked Caspian now wondering who had told him so much about them.When you had run away you know nothing about them only that mythical creatures used to walk the land but were extinct... or so you had thought.

"Stories."

"Your father used to tell you stories about Narnia?" you questioned even further.

"No my professor" Caspian answer facing you "Listen I'm am sorry but these aren't the kind of questions you should be asking me."

You watched as Trufflehunter sniffed the air "What is it?" you asked knowing Trufflehunter could smell something nearby.

"Human" He answered back bluntly still smelling the air.

"Us" You pointed between yourself and Caspian,

"No them" Trufflehunter pointed over to the line of telmarine soldiers making there way towards you with crossbows in there hand.

"RUN" you shouted as arrows flew past your head. You ran in and out of the trees as fast as you could dodging and ducking to try and avoid not only running into the low branches of the trees but the arrows that were heading straight for you. You turned your head slightly to make sure Trufflehunter and Nikabrik where behind you. Then in the corner of your eye you saw an arrow heading straight for Trufflehunter. You grab him seconds before it hit him but a scream of pain escapes your lips as it buries its self in your arm instead. You try to ignore the pain and the small trickle of blood that was running down your arm and keep running with Trufflehunter in your arms but the further you ran the more pain that seem to run through your arm. You once again heard more scream you knew it wasn't coming from Caspian and Nikabrik as they were running in front of you, it couldn't have been Trufflehunter as he was in your arms your body shielding him from any arrows turning your head back to the soldiers you stop and watch as solider after solider seem to fall.

"You two get out of here" You ordered placing Trufflehunter on the floor and nodding to Nikabrik before unsheathing your sword and standing next to Caspian ready to fight what ever was making it way to us. You watch as the last solider fell and the bushes rustled showing that was ever it was, was getting closer to you. You turned as Caspian's body fell to the floor.

"Choose your words carefully telmarine." You smiled slightly at the mouse that was now stood on Caspian's chest with a sword to his neck. You placed your sword back in its sheath and watched as your old friend Reepicheep stood over a now scared Caspian.

"Your a mouse" Caspian stated in shock, a small chuckle escaped your mouth at the obvious statement that Caspian had just made.

"Hoping for something a little more original," Reepicheep said with a sigh. "Pick up your weapon" You watched as Caspian looked at his sword then answered with a "No Thanks".

"Pick it up, I will not fight an unarmored man"

"Which is why I might life longer if I choose not to cross blades with you noble mouse."

"I didn't stay I wouldn't kill you" Reepicheep stated obviously growing more inpatient by the minute.

"Calm down Reep, your blade is not needed" You finally spoke up knowing that you should put Caspian out of his misery of getting questioned by the mouse.

"Y/N, I trust you have a very good reason for this untimely interruption." Reepicheep asked now turning to you lowing his sword.

"He's the one who blow the horn" Trufflehunter shouted running over to you with Nikabrik at his side.

"Then let him bring it forward" You looked up when you heard a deep voice speak, to see a group of centaurs making there way towards you. You know the centaur who spoke to be called Glenstorm, the leader of the centaurs herd. "This is the reason why we have gathered."
