Stay By My Side (Edmund x Reader )

The Battle

"GET READY" Peter yelled signalling the narnian's of an oncoming fight. Un-sheathing your sword, you ran to Edmunds side, preparing yourself for the battle that was about to begin.

"Do me one favour" You spoke turning your head towards Edmund "Be careful"

"You too" Edmund nodded

You steadied yourself as boulders where flung from the catapults towards you however you refused to move, you weren't going to back down now you were so close to giving the narnian's back their freedom and you weren't going to stop until they had it. You watched as soldiers on horseback galloped towards you waiting for Peter's signal to attack. Turning to Caspian and Glenstorm you nodded towards them signalling them to ready the army in the tunnels below. Shortly after you heard a horn signalling you that they were ready.

"1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 ... 6 .... 7 ... 8 ... 9 ..." You heard Peter whisper. "GET READY" he shouted as the telmarines made their way even closer to you. You watched as the ground gave way below the telmarines feet, sending both soldiers and horses falling into a pit; some badly injured others not fazed by their fall. Many soldiers that were making their way out the pit soon fell again as arrows flew over your head landing in anyone that dare come closer to you.

You reached of Edmunds hand giving it a squeeze "Stay by my side"

"No other place I'd be" He replied turning his attention from you back to the battle field in front of him.

"CHARGE" Peter yelled.

You ran at full speed, sword at the ready to fight anyone who dare get in your way. Soldiers came at you from all directions swinging their swords trying to land whatever blow they could. You held your sword up as one soldier swung his towards your head causing the sound of metal on metal to ring through the air. Shifting your position you elbow him in the face causing him to drop to the ground, you didn't waste time in slashing your sword across his throat. Spinning on your heel you dropped to the ground swiftly taking out the legs of another soldier who had came at you.

"BACK TO THE HOW" you heard Peter scream amongst the sound of battle.

"Y/N" you turned seeing Edmund riding straight towards, grabbing his hand you flung yourself on the back of his horse as he rode past you. You grabbed on tighter to Edmunds waist as a boulder land right next to you from one of the catapults in the distance. Looking ahead of you could see the entrance of the how give in as boulders continually hit it crushing many that dare try hide inside. You watched as one of the roots gave a way causing a tree to fall that was on the structure knocking Susan off the ledge. A sigh of relief washed over you as she dropped only a short distance onto the ledge below. You and Edmund quickly dismounted joining Peter at his side.

"We can do this" You commented reaching for your bow and readying it. Looking towards Edmund he gave you a slight nod before running by your side back into the battle. You shot at any soldier who dare come close to you arrows swiftly landing in the necks and chests of many of them.

"LOOK OUT" you heard Caspian yell turning on your heel you were faced with an oncoming soldier, you didn't have time to ready your bow instead you throw it to the side, un-sheathing your sword. You held it up just in time to block the soldier's attack however he came at you with such force it caused you to fall back. Tripping over the dead soldier behind you, you fell backwards into the pit below, sliding down the edge of the ground that had given away. You looked up as you landed watching as a soldier ran at you, unable to defend yourself as you had lost your sword during the fall. Seconds before the soldier could get to you a tree root wrapped its self around the soldier's body flinging him into the earth wall killing him instantly.
