The next morning everyone had gathered to the edge of the telmarine village that over looked the sea. For the speech that Caspian and Aslan were to give allowing those who wanted a new life to start fresh in another world.
"Narnia belong to the narnian's just as it does to man. Those who want to stay are welcome to but for any of you who wish Aslan will return you to the home of our for-fathers." Caspian spoke now as a true king.
"Its be generations since we left telmarine" A villager spoke up
"I am not referring to telmarine, your ancestors where sea merchants, pirates, who run aground on an island there they found a cave. A rare cave that brought them here from their world. The same world that our Kings and Queens are from. It is to that island that I can return you. It is a good place for any that wish to make a new start." Aslan spoke spreading his word across to the people.
"I'll go" A villager spoke up "I'll expect the offer."
"So will we" Caspian's aunt spoke with the son in her arms,
"Because you have spoken your future in that world will be good." Aslan spoke as they stepped forward. Blowing on the people who had stepped forth a tree nearby began to twist creating a hole in its trunk. You watched as they stepped through disappearing as their feet touched the base of the trees trunk.
"How do we know he is not leading us to our deaths?" A villager spoke up
"Your majesty I will take eleven mice through with no delay if my help can be of service." Reep said stepping forward.
"Where'll go" Peter spoke stepping forward
"We will?" Edmund ask glancing over at you.
"Come on ... times up" Peter commented turning to his siblings. "Were not needed here anymore" Peter unsheathed his sword handing it to Caspian.
"I will look after it until you return"
"That's just it were not coming back" Susan spoke
"You're not coming back?" It was no that you spoke up looking towards Edmund with saddened eyes.
"Were not?" Lucy asked her sister slightly confused by her comment.
"You two are" Peter spoke towards his brother and youngest of the sisters. "But at least that's what I think he means you two"
"But why, have they done something wrong?" Lucy asked
"Quite the opposite your brother and sister have learnt all they can from this world. Now its time for them to live in their own." Aslan replied
"Its alright Lou is not how I thought it would be but its alright, one day your'll see too." Peter spoke comforting his little sister.
You watched as Susan made her way over to you; you wasted no time pulling her into a hug. "Good luck in your world" You spoke.
"Make sure to look after Caspian for me" Susan replied with a smile. You gave her a small nod before she moved on to say good bye to the others. Peter stood in here place on seconds later reaching his hand out to you. Pushing it away you embraced him in a hug. "Make sure to be careful" you commented. Peter only replying with a "You too" before moving closer to the tree. You and Lucy wasted no time in hugging each other good bye. It was then your attention turned to Edmund.
"I guess this is good bye" he spoke his head hanging low, sadness laced his voice
"I guess so" you replied with the same sadness
"I wanted to give you this before I left" Edmund spoke holding out his sword.
"Where did you find it, I was sure I lost it during the battle. " Grabbing it from edmunds hands you quickly attached it to your dress. "It'll never leave my side" A small smile pulling at your lips.
"I'm sure it won't" Edmund smiled back stepping closer to embrace you. You closed your eyes savouring the moment; of all the Pevensie child you had become most closest to Edmund in their time here and this was a moment you didn't want to end. Opening your eyes and stepping back from Edmunds warmth you turned to Aslan.
"I know you said that Edmund and Lucy will be coming back but generations when by after the last time they came. Will I ever get to see them again?" You asked
"They shall grow in their world as you grow in this. Have faith that one day you will meet them again." Aslan's words relaxed your thoughts slightly.
You watched as Peter, Lucy and Edmund made their way to the tree, everyone's attention turn towards Susan as she spoke her last words to Caspian.
"I'm glad I came back" Susan spoke
"I wish we had more time together" Caspian quickly replied
"It would have never of worked anyway"
"Why not?"
"I am 13 hundred years older than you" she laughed with a smile
You watched as she turned her back to walk away before turning back and sharing a kiss with Caspian. Your attention turned away from her and back to Edmund. You took in every detail of his face as you could, his dark hair, his deep brown eyes, his slightly freckled skin and those pump lips that wore such a stunning smile upon them.
"Ed you coming" Peter asked as he headed with his sisters to the tree.
"One moment" Edmund replied making his way over to you.
"Edmund what are you..." You were cut short as Edmund crash his lips into yours with such passion. You had know that your feelings for Edmund had been growing stronger as you spent time with him but you never knew what those feelings were and now you did ... it was love and you were glad to know that he felt the same way back. You savoured every moment of that kiss feeling his sweet tasting lips move in sink with yours. Only parting when your lungs grasped for air, leaving a tingling feeling lingering on your lips.
You watched as Edmund turned towards his siblings all of them turning back for one more look at the people they had come to know before stepping through. You reached your hand up to your lips where his had been only moments ago, hoping that the feeling they left stayed there until he return to replace another one.
