The doorbell rang and there stood Xavier. He studied me up and down, making me feel self-conscious of the tight red dress I was wearing. Mackenzie closed the door as I walked out of the house, my face was plastered with worry while Mackenzie's was filled with excitement.
I stood there like an idiot, waiting for Xavier to open the expensive car door for me, but rather he walked around the black Porsche,
"Are you coming inside or not, Jones?" He asked, his hazel eyes infixed on mine.
I gulped like the idiot I am, "Y-yeah, of course!" I quickly opened my car door in a sigh and let myself in.
The car ride to the party was about 25 minutes. As Xavier's focus was on the road, all I can think about was how the party was going to be prepared, or if Xavier's family thinks I am his girlfriend, or how will I act? Oh jeez, I can't believe I am doing this!
I quickly glanced over at Xavier, his jawline was clenched as his hazel eyes were steady on the road ahead of us.
"Why are you staring?" He asked, his voice stern and deep. I quickly looked away and my gaze was on the window.
"I-I, I'm just nervous, that's all," I replied, not even fully answering his question. He lightly chuckled and soon I felt his hand touch mine. I quickly looked at him and moved my hand away from his.
"What were you doing?" I asked as we were at a stop light.
"Jones, c'mon. I know you want me." He stated. I scoffed. Does this guy really think that he can swoon every girl? Well, if he swoons like that, he is not going to get any girl for that matter. Well, at least me.
I started to laugh, my laughter turned into me crying. It was actually hilarious. The way he and his stupid gang thinks. Yes, they may be very attractive and have the charms that can and will swoon every girl but the question is, do they have the personality?
No. They don't.
They all think so highly of themselves as if they are so superior to the rest of us. But the truth is, at the end of the day, we're all human. We feel pain, and we experience events that help us learn. At the end of the day, we're all imperfect. So, why does he feel the need to act as if he is?
"Jones....don't play hard to get now." He continued.
"The only reason I am here is to be your date, nothing else. I am not an object so you shouldn't use me like one, this is just a favour I am doing for you. So in the future, I will make sure that you and your friends owe me, or I will expose all your secrets."
Xavier smirked, it was silent for a while. It began to rain and before you knew it, the raindrops were filling in the silence. I may have gone too far within the favour but it's true. They owe me.
Xavier and I soon made it to the party. It was held at a mansion, hell, a really big mansion. It was so big that it probably can combine 3 of the biggest houses on my street. He parked on the driveway, numerous expensive cars lined up the streets and most of the driveway.
"Xavier quickly unbuckled his seatbelt, as did I.
"Turn around, I'm going to give you this necklace for tonight." He said, our faces inches apart, I did what he said and turned around, he moved my hair to the side and I could feel his hot breath on my skin. I had goosebumps all over me as he put the necklace on me. I turned around to face him, the necklace was so beautiful.
"Why are you giving me this?" I asked, our faces now inches apart, he smelled good, perhaps an expensive cologne.
I quickly backed away and reality snapped back at me,
"Anyways, we should be going now. My parents are expecting us." He said before exiting out the car.

Aliyah walked alongside me as we headed towards the big doors of my parents' house. They were hosting a rather lavish party for opening their new business. Their 10th business by the way, so you can say that parties are quite normal in the Smith family.
I glanced at Aliyah, her long brown hair curled nicely in waves, and that tight red velvet dress looked amazing on her. She was stunning, but of course, I can't tell her that. What would she think of me then? Her ocean like blue eyes was infixed on the mansion, I lightly chuckled as we walked up the steps. She was cute. Her rosy cheeks blushed and I knew I made her feel self-conscious, but she doesn't need to be, in fact, I should be the one feeling self-conscious.
"Put your arm around mine," I stated as I looked at her, she hesitated before doing as I said. I knew that she felt uncomfortable, hell, she probably thought that I was just trying to use her, but what she said to me in the car earlier, it stuck to me. I was joking, I hope she knew that.
"Xavier, shouldn't we...like, doorbell?" She asked as she looked at me confused.
Thoughts filled up my head, do I really want to see my parents again, after the fight we had? I haven't seen them in almost 6 months and I hope it was longer. They tried to contact me multiple times, but I kept on rejecting them. The only reason why I am here tonight is that I haven't seen my little sister, Lina, in a long time. I miss her.
"Y-Yeah, let's doorbell." My hand was practically shaking and my heart beat at a rapid pace but I knew that I shouldn't back out. I am not a coward.
Mr.Jenkins, the doorman opened the front doors. He soon recognized me and gave me a polite smile. I smiled back in return and Aliyah and I walked in my parents' house. That was it. I'm here. And any minute by now, my Mother or Father should be rushing towards me and soon questioning why I've been avoiding them and who and why did I bring a girl to come. Is she my girlfriend? Is she worth enough? Did I get her pregnant? She's probably stupid.
"Hey, it's going to be okay. I'm here." Aliyah said, she noticed how anxious I looked, it's not easy coming back here. Aliyah slipped her hands into mine and she lightly smiled, she made me feel safe. I hope I can make her feel the same way.
