- aliyah -

Saturday.

It was rainy today, and as I stared outside my bedroom window, I could hear the faint droplets of the water hit my window.

My Mother was in her room, reading.

Rachel was on vacation.

Mackenize is celebrating her Dad's birthday.

And I, am in my bedroom watching the rain hit my window.

One doorbell. Two doorbells. Four doorbells.

Why is no one getting the door?

I ran down the stairs and opened the door,

"Wanna get ice cream with me?" Jackson smiled.

- the ice cream shop -

"One vanilla ice cream with extra sprinkles and cherries along with a pint of oreo shavings on top." Jackson ordered before turning his head over to me, "What's your order?" He asked, his voice husky and deep, "I'll have the same thing as you." I replied.

It seemed as if Jackson went to the ice cream shop a lot, knowing that he learned the whole menu and where the best seats are located at.

As we were handed our ice cream, Jackson handed out a $20 bill.

"Jackson, I told you this was free." The ice cream lady said to Jackson, with a sweet smile on her face.

"It's fine, take it. This is a tip for all that you've done for me." He replied, with an ever so beamingly smile spread across his face.

Jackson seems nice, and from what I could tell, he was the type to give and not expect anything in return.

As Jackson and I sat down, he began to strike up a conversation,

"Thanks for coming with me to get ice cream." He said as he began to devour into his oddly specific order of ice cream, and as I devoured into mine, I guess you could say that Jackson has a good taste of picking out ice cream and toppings.

"No problem, but why couldn't you ask one of The Ravens?" I asked as I licked my ice cream once again, Jackson's once brightened up face became dark and colourless,

"Um, they had plans." He quickly said, he wasn't so good at lying.

"You're not so good at making up excuses, Jackson," I stated as I lightly chuckled at him,

He looked up, looking a little bit guilty as if he was a little boy stealing a cookie from his Mother,

"Alex told me that too!" He laughed.

Jackson seemed like a genuine person, and I wanted to continue being friends with him. But the fact that he is one of the Ravens throws everything off for me, the Ravens are filled with problems, and if I'm friends with one of them, I'm more likely to be involved in their problems as well.

Before you knew it, Jackson and I were laughing our heads off for hours, telling stories about our childhood and embarrassing moments ( Jackson didn't have that many, I mean, he is super good-looking ) and what I learned the most about Jackson was that he loved cinematography. The art of it all, the way a picture can speak a whole story, he was truly inspiring.

"You should major cinematography after high school!" I said to Jackson as I looked through the amazing pictures that he captured, we were currently sitting in his gold Ferrari parked right outside of the ice cream shop.

"I don't know..." Jackson sighed, I glanced over at him, he nervously ran his hand through his dark brown hair, "My parents are super strict on me, they don't really like that I am interested in cinematography." He informed me, disappointment filled in his dark eyes.

"Jackson, if anything, I don't think you need their opinion, you can be whatever you want to be in your life, no matter what the circumstance is! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" I said to Jackson.

"Thanks, Aliyah...you know you're really nice. I can tell why Alex talks about you all the time." Jackson said as if he didn't know what he just did.

"Alex talks about me?" I questioned Jackson, Alex Angel talks about me? I chuckled to myself as the thought of him appeared in my mind, he's a player although he is attractive.

I looked at Jackson, "Oh shit, you didn't know?" He said, his voice laced with worry. I laughed as he nervously laughed,

"Don't worry, I won't tell the jealous girls." I joked as Jackson ran his hand through his hair,

"Better not tell Cassidy too then!" He mumbled to himself. Cassidy, her name sounded familiar.

"Who's Cassidy?" I asked as I handed back the pictures to Jackson.

"Damn, I really should've kept my mouth shut!" He tells himself,

I chuckled, "It's alright if you can't tell me. I mean, privacy is privacy right?" I said as I lightly smiled, but the way Jackson looked at me, he was tempted to tell me, spill all the tea to me...I wouldn't mind.

"Okay, but I shouldn't be telling you this..." Jackson said quietly, "Cassidy is Alex's girlfriend, she's also the best friend of Jessica." Jackson informs me,

"Alright...what's so bad about that then?" I asked,

"Well...Cassidy, she's...also pregnant," Jackson muttered incoherently, but as the words escaped from his lips, I knew exactly what he meant.

Alex is going to be a Dad.
