Remus x Reader Part two

Remus P.O.V (before dumbledoors speech)

I had recently become Hogwarts new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher. Today was the first day of the year and I've already had an encounter with a dementor and with Harry.

He looks so much like James. Except he has Lilly's eyes. Although I already knew that. I mean I was always around the two years they where alive.

Then again we all where. Me, Sirius, Peter, and.... y/n.

I miss them. Well except Peter. Shortly after me and Sirius told y/n to leave us alone forever we found Peter and he confessed that he was the secret keeper and that he was working for Voldemort.

He framed Sirius for the murder of himself and several muggles. I was officially alone.

I just told the girl I loved not to ever speak to me again. Two of my best friends just died. My other best friend was framed and sent to Azkaban. And Peter is now dead so I can't take this out on him.

I still feel horrible for the last things I said to y/n. Before that night I had just plucked the courage up to ask her to go out with me.

I've liked her since our first year when she pranked padfoot. By turning his hair pink.

She instantly became part of the group. She was actually the one who came up with the idea to surprise me by all of them becoming animagus.

But I don't like her anymore. I love her. I fell in love with her in our fifth year. I don't really remember how but I remember one day we went and decided let's swim in the black lake. And we where all splashing around and having fun. Then eventually she got out and just laid on her towel and started tanning.

I eventually got out and sat with her. She asked me to read to her. She said she liked the sound of my voice said it was calming.

That's also why she always had me talk to her when she was having a panic or anxiety attack.

I just remember sitting there with her and I just began to play with her hair as she laid there in the sun. Her hair was soft and now dry. It had gotten a bit curlier as it dried and I noticed the color had gotten lighter.

One of the other mauraders captured this moment in a picture and I carry it with me to this day. I also just carry other pictures of us. Some of all five of us others of just a few of us.

I was pulled from my thoughts by Dumbledoor announcing the new teachers.

"I would like to introduce our new teachers. First Professor Hagrid our new Care of Magical Creatures Professor." I clapped politely and smiled and the man near by me. He was beaming with happiness.

"Next I would like to introduce our new quidditch teacher someone you all already know if you've been here, Professor y/l/n. Taking over for madam hooch who is now full time quidditch referee." I looked over and saw her stand up she waved and smiled brightly.

Godric she's even more beautiful than before. I can't believe she's here! I've missed her so much!

"Next our new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher Professor Lupin" I stood up and gave a small wave. I really just wanted to talk to y/n.

The feast started and then I see y/n get up stop to talk to Harry and leave.

I could tell from the second I saw her stand up she was having a anxiety attack.
