Me and the marauders had an interesting relationship. We all had a mutual agreement. I would go out on a few dates with them as purely friends to make the girls they had crushes on jealous. No one knew we where just friends but still. And I'm return they would hopefully be making Remus jealous.

I had been crushing on the quiet book worm for quite some time. And this agreement seemed like a good idea. Key word... seemed.

"Mates I can't like her, she been with both of you and I don't know if I can handle that on my mind if I dated her. I'm just not into girls who bounce from guy to guy like that especially if there all friends."

The plan had failed... and rather epically at that. Well for me at least. Remus thought I was some whore or something now. But luckily both marleen and lily had come to there senses.

Me and Sirius walked into the leaky caldron. "Two butter beers, please." We quickly got our butter beers and sat down. I was affectionate with Sirius before so I had no problem with holding his hand kissing his cheek or finding his arm around me.

And me and him constantly flirted but only in a playful sort of banter. This was our fourth friend date or date date to everyone else and I must admit I was quite enjoying my time. It wasn't often I got peaceful moments to just sit with one of my best friends.

"So yyyyy/nnnnn" Sirius dragged. "Any luck so far in luring a certain werewolf?" He raised his eye brows at me and I rolled my eyes.

"That wouldn't make our relationship very convincing now would it padfoot?"

He shrugged dramatically also using his hands "I don't know. We could make quite the scandal couldn't we? Y/f/n goes after soft boy werewolf Remus Lupin while seen together with notorious playboy Sirius black!"

I rolled my eyes. "That's complexity indies Sirius!" I paused. "That tittle is much to long! It's more like notorious playboy Sirius black chested on by y/f/n?"  Me and Sirius burst into a fit of laughter as we came up with more names both ridiculous in length or shortness and each being stupider that the last.

As I walked home with Sirius I saw marleen coming up to us. And I decided it was time.

"Look Sirius," I said stopping as I sighed. "Your a nice guy but just... I don't feel a connection with you like that... I'm sorry." I walk away leaving him standing there and scurry hiding behind a tree. When I look back I use a spell to amplify the sounds of marleen and Sirius well at least in my ears.

"Hey you okay?" I heard her soft voice call to him. He sniffed and looked to her.

"Yeah just honestly shocked. But who am I fouling... I didn't really feel it ether. Maybe what everyone says is right. Maybe I'll forever be a playboy."

"Sirius-" he cuts her off.

"But that's not what I want! I want someone I can cuddle up to on cold night someone I can make breakfast with in the morning and read to I'm the afternoons. Have someone to take care of me when I'm sick and me be there for them. I want someone to live and spoil with affection." He sighed looking down. "Maybe it's just not meant to be."

She placed a hand in his cheek. "Hey it's her loss not yours. If she dosent want a guy as amazing as you then well that's her problem." She paused looking down. "And you know... There are other girls waiting for a chance... if I'm being honest I always envied her because of how close you two where. So I mean if you're ever looking for anyone- I mean not that you would look at me that way- not saying you won't- but if you do happen to want to maybe- go out- or I mean like-"
