James x reader

I walk down into my common room to see that James, Sirius, Remus and Peter were sitting in MY spot. But I know James already knew that cause he was sitting on my comfy chair with a very smug smile on his face.

I only say it's mine because it is. I brought that chair with me. That's the chair I've sat in every day since first year. Now that I'm in my sixth year it's common knowledge to everyone. But apparently James is to good for that sort of thing. I walk over with a look towards him that could kill.

"Potter, what do you think you're doing?" He looks up at me innocently.

"Why, y/n I'm sitting in a chair silly, I thought you were smart enough to notice that at least." He smirked.

"I know what you're doing but why? That's MY chair."

"Oh but I don't see your name on it, and it's property of the school. Not you."

"No janes it actually IS my chair. I brought it to school." He gave me a look and then looked to our mutual friend Remus who nodded.

"I told you!" Remus said gesturing his hands wildly.

"But I've seen Remus sit in it! And other kids when you're not here!" James said quickly.

"Remus asks and those other kids get up when I come." I paused raising an eyebrow at him. "But you wouldn't do that would you? No you James Potter are to selfish and arrogant to know human decency towards anyone but these three boys here, and maybe the girl of your latest affections."

He stared at me with his mouth open in shock. "That is not true!" He stood up and moved towards me. But I held my ground.

"Yes it is! You prank everyone which is all good and fun but I've never seen you apologize or make sure they are okay. The only one of you I have seen is Remus and him and that girl became friends unlike you three."

"Hang on a minute when did Remus do that?" Sirius asked confused.

Before Remus could answer I did. "In our first year. You pranked a girl by dropping a bucket full of zonkos extra sticky glue (idk if that's a real thing) on her then created an ice patch in front of her which she slipped on making her crash into the wall and get stuck to it. And after all that students came and put belongings on her. They thought it was funny cause they stuck to her. Not realizing how painful it was. And then Remus saw and he came and got her down and helped clean her up apologizing profusely."

Remus smiled at me and I gave him a small smile back. "And she is now a great friend to me." He said while looking at me. "Like my little sister." I smiled at him.

Peter looked between us, back and forth over and over as we held eye contact. "Are you two gonna kiss?!" He asked looking at us weird.

We spoke at the same time our words basically saying the same thing.

"What?! No! He's like my older brother!"

"No! She's practically my little sister!"

Sirius then gave us a scrutinizing look. Until he stopped and looked at me for a long long moment.

"It was you." He whispered and then stated again louder. "It was you!"

I look at him with a raised eyebrow. "You're the girl who you where just talking about!"

"Oh wow, do you remember all your prancing victims Sirius? Well anyways I should be off, James... I want your ass out of my chair!" And with that I spun around heading to the kitchens to get a snack.
