Now I'm walking, trying to be as silent as possible so I don't attract any geeks. I had to get back to the farm, it's been hours, I could only tell by the sun going down. I probably should have stayed back at the store, but I can't have Shane telling everyone I'm dead, poor Sophia would be heartbroken. Daryl, I'm not sure what he'll do, hopefully he'll see past Shane's bullshit.
A lone walker crept through the trees, tilting his head high to sniff me out. A groan escaped his lips as he saw me and charged (as much as he could). I used my machete to take him out when he got closer, making a clean cut through his brain. I'm definitely going to have to find some swords or something, it's so much easier than a small knife or even a crossbow that you have to keep loading.
My legs were starting to ache, protesting at the 5 mile walk I had made. I could see the gravel road now, so I pushed myself further. When I could finally see the Greenes mailbox, that's when I heard it. The groans and moans of walkers, hundreds and hundreds of walkers. The barn was basically gone, flames swallowed it whole, only a few vehicles were in sight, and Shane's happened to be one of them. I couldn't see Daryl's bikes but that didn't mean anything, I was pretty far from the house. Holding back my fears, I ran into the woods so the herd of walkers wouldn't see or smell me. It worked a little bit, a few caught on my scent and were traveling after me.
Were they all dead? The group I had come to know and maybe care for? Glenn? Carol? Sophia? Rick? ...Daryl?
I had to face the truth, They were gone. I'm alone again. I suppressed a cry that I didn't know was coming and kept running. The walkers were far behind but that didn't stop me from only going faster. I shouldn't have gotten close to people, I should have followed my rule of staying away. People meant getting hurt and that's exactly what had happened. I finally stopped running and collapsed on the hard ground. Breathing heavily and closing my eyes, I must have passed out from exhaustion because everything went dark after that.

"Get up." I shuffled in my sleep, hardly hearing the harsh voice about me.
"I said get up!" It called again making me open my eyes to see a man standing over me. I quickly sat up and reached for my crossbow, that was no longer there.
"Yeah, I took your weapons as a precaution." He stared me down and I took a minute to take in my surroundings. I was in a small room, with a small cot, and a few cabinets. It almost looked like a nurses office, how strange.
"Where am I?"
"You're in Woodbury." Another man walking through the door, drying off his hands like he had just washed them. "And I am the Governer, you can go now Martinez, I'll take it from here." The first man nodded and left, keeping his eyes on me.
"Sorry about him, he's a little weary of strangers. What's your name?"
"Sam."
"Well Sam, I'd like to show you around our little town. First I have to ask you a few questions."
"Were you with a group?"
I wasn't sure if I should trust this guy or even answer his questions, but then again. What have I got to lose?
"Yes, but they're gone.. A herd of walkers came.." I stopped, remembering how many of them surrounded Hershel's once beautiful farm.
"Oh. Well I'm very sorry to hear that." He wasn't sorry, I could see it in his eyes.
"That's my only question for you then. Follow me." He walked towards the door and waited for me to stand up, my legs were a little shaky as I did so; but I managed.
