There have been days
where I've looked into the mirror
to ask myself whether I was worth it,
worth the time, worth the effort,
worth the love.
There have been days
where I've found my eyes looking back at me, the ache in them making me wonder whether I was worth
putting myself through
more pain for.
There have been days
when I've slept through the night,
my thoughts mangled and so blown across, my dreams questioning
whether the torture
was worth it.
But the day you pulled me into your arms was the day I knew it; every single hurdle was meant to lead
me to you, every single
struggle was meant to
bring us together.
And love,
it was not just because you were worth it, but because for the first time there was someone who made me believe that I was too.
