Through the sheaths of uncertainty
I look out today, trying to find my way
back home to everything I once knew to traverse across like the beats
of my heart. My soul yearns to find a familiar face so ruthlessly made a distant memory, my feet lost in tandem with
new paths I no longer
recognize. My heart prays for some certainty, anything that could calm the growing alarm in my mind that perhaps even
I was going to perish if I didn't learn to adapt enough, if I didn't learn
to accept enough. But how could I accept a universe built on the ashes of everything
I once held dear?Everything I once knew
was certain to keep me sane; everything I once knew was built
on foundations solid and not uncertainty mere?❀
