Ella's P.O.V.

"Carl it's fine we're not leaving. We are just making The Governor think were leaving! Please talk to me!" I beg Carl as we put our stuff in the car. "I think we should fight back. Kill the son of a bitch who brought you to Woodbury and hurt you!" Carl says and I hug his torso "It'll be fine Maggie and Glenn are here so when we leave there gonna drive them away by shooting at them." I say and Carl nods "I know I just want the bastard dead." Carl says and hugs me back "I know you do baby. I do to but were not murders. We can't kill these people. We will leave the killing to the adults." I say and Carl kisses the top if my head "Yeah I know." Carl says and we walk to the woods Hershel,Judith,and Beth we all go. We go into the woods and wait to hear Maggie and Glenn shoot. When we do Hershel smiles "See everything's gonna be just fine." Hershel says then this boy from the Woodbury group comes out with a gun . Carl pushes me and Judith since I was holding her behind him. "Just put your gun down son." Hershel says and the boy does. Carl points his gun at the boy and has his finger on the trigger. "Carl put the gun down he put his down know you do the same.He surrendered. Don't do anything and turn this into something worse." I say but Carl doesn't listen instead he shots the boy. I pull Judith closer to me and take a few steps back. Carl just killed someone for no reason right In front of me and his little sister. "Oh my god..." was all I could say. My boyfriend/best friend just shot someone for no reason. "He put his gun down! Why did you shoot him?!?" I ask Carl and look at him with fear in my eyes and he looks back at me with the same look of fear. Im scared of him more know then I have been in my whole life. "Ella he was with The Governor!" Carl says "But he put his gun down! He surrendered!" I say and Carl tried to grab my hand "Dont touch me! Don't touch Judith ether! Im sure your father wouldn't want you to touch her ether right know!" I say and walk back to the prison. I walk inside with tears streaming down my face "Ella what's wrong?!?" Rick asks "Carl! He...shot....a....b-boy for n-no reason!" I say through my tears. Hershel comes next to me "He...he had to have a reason." Rick says and Hershel shakes his head "The boy put his gun down! He surrendered and Carl just shot! You think Ella would lie?" Hershel asks and Carl goes next to his dad "He was aiming at us!" "He wasn't gonna hurt us! He put his gun down!" I cry and shake my head "Judith shouldn't be here right know hearing this! I'm going to Daryl's cell." I say and walk to Daryl's cell "Ella!" I hear Carl scream and chase after me. "You shot him for no reason! Why?!? Why?!? Your not a monster Carl! We don't kill people! Exspeacialy when they are surrendering!" I say and walk into Daryl's cell. "I just wanted to keep you safe!" He says and comes into the cell to. I sit down on the bed and pull Judith to my chest as he gets closer "Im not gonna hurt you!" Carl cries and I shake my head "Im just scared Carl please just.....just go!" I cry and Carl falls to his knees "I didn't want him to hurt y'all! He could've had another gun!He.....he could've hurt you and took you from me! Do you think I wanted that? He was from the Woodbury group! What did you expect me to do?" Carl asks me "I expected you to just ask for all his weapons bring him to Rick and let Rick deal with it." I say still scared of Carl. "Your scared of me agin aren't you?" Carl asks as the tears pour from his eyes. I bite my lip and nod slowly. "Im sorry Carl! I really am but I can't help but be scared anymore! I just can't help it! Seeing the person you trust and love kill someone it's just hard!" I say and shake my head. Carl stands up and walks out "But I still love you Carl! Please we need to talk about it! You just walking away isn't gonna help me or you!" I yell and shake my head. I'm scared of him yes but he has had a hard past and I can't just leave him. This world changes you so yes I'm scared but I love him and can't live with out him so I can't just leave him. I need to help him get through this. I stand up and walk over to Carl's cell since I moved last night and never put my stuff back. I walk into Carls cell to see him hugging my big stitch and crying into it. I walk over to him quietly and put Judith on the bed. "We wanted to come say hi." I say softly and put my hand on Carl's back. "Why?" Carl asks me "Why what?" I ask back and he sniffles "Why do you still want to be with me when I'm a monster? I hurt people and your scared of me but you still choose to come comfort me. Why?" Carl asks and I sit on the bed. Crossing my legs on the bed and puting Judith in my lap. "Because I love you and I know this world changes you and I can't just leave you,because I love you to much Carl. i love you way to much so I'm not gonna just leave you. People make big mistakes in this world now and I know you were scared and just wanted to protect us. I can't live with out you and you can't live without me so I'm not gonna leave you. Also Carl,baby your not a monster! You never will be! You did what you had to do to protect us. Just like Rick does and since you do that when Rick is gone and you have to take over you'll be a great leader." I say then knock the big stitch off the bed and lay down next to him putting Judith between us. "I love you." I whisper and reach over Judith to give Carl a kiss on his lips. "I love you to." Carl says when we pull away "Don't beat yourself over it.You were scared and just wanted to protect us. Your not a monster your a leader Carl." I say and Carl shakes his head "Im a monster and your my guardian angel that keeps me on the right path and tells me what's right and what's wrong." Carl says softly and I shake my head "If your a monster I'm a monster to. I defiantly ain't no angel." I say and Carl shakes his head "No you defiantly are." Carl says and plays with Judith's hands. I smile at them and Judith just stared at Carl. "Glenn asked Maggie to marry him." Carl says and I smile "Yeah he asked me if he could,along with Beth and Hershel." I say and Carl smiles "I can try and give you a normal life like you want." Carl says softly and pushed my long brown hair out of my face "We can get married have a baby. Stay here or stay somewhere safe." Carl says and I smile "I would love to start a family with you." I say and grab Carl's hand lightly so I don't hurt it. He winces in pain "Im sorry! Im sorry I didn't mean-" I say but Carl cuts me off "Its fine." Carl says and chuckles lightly. I run my hand over his lightly and leave little kisses all over his hand. Carl lets out a sigh and closes his eyes "I love you." Carl says and I kiss the tip of Carl's nose. "I love you to." I say and Carol walks into the cell "Let me take her for y'all." Carol says and picks up Judy. I curl up into Carls side and smile "Thank you Carol." I say and Carl wraps his arms around my waist "Yeah thank you." he says and kisses my cheek. I put my hands on his chest and press our foreheads together "My little guardian angel to keep me on the right track. Who would've known that my guardian angel would have beautiful green eyes and long brown hair with beautiful features and is my best friend?" Carl says and traces my face with his index finger. I giggle "I swear if this world wasn't shit you would be a model." Carl says and I smile at him "No I wouldn't!" I say and Carl nods "yes you would!" Carl says and climbs on top of me. "Your so beautiful." Carl says and I smile then giggle "And your giggles are to cute!" Carl says and kisses my forehead. I blush and smile"Stop! Your gonna make me turn into a tomato!" I say and Carl chuckles. "I can make you turn into a tomato with out even flattering you." Carl says and I smile "Dont you dare!" I say and Carl starts to tickle me "Carl Rick Grimes I'm gonna kill you!" I say through my laughter as Carl tickles me. "S-Stop!" I say and put my hands on Carls chest. Carl laughs and stops tickling. He goes to kiss my cheek but I turn my face so he kisses my lips. Carl smiled "My cheeky girl." Carl says and I giggle. "I love how we can get over stuff so quickly." I say and Carl nods "Me to." he says and smiles. Carl looks at my stitch that was on the floor "Why you pushed stitch off the bed?" Carl asks "Because he was taking up to much space on the bed and I wanted to be close to my bae." I say and Carl chuckles. "Carl can I talk to you?" Rick asks and Carl rolls off of me. "Yeah I guess." Carl says and we sit up. "Im coming." I say quietly to Carl. "No Ella." Carl says "But I don't want to leave you." I say and kiss Carls shoulder. "Okay." Carl says and grabs my hand in his "Ella I kinda wanted to talk to him alone." Rick says "Im gonna find out what it is anyway! Might as well go! I'm not leaving him for you to yell at him and get him more depressed!" I say and Carl squeezes my hand "Its ok-" "No it's not Carl! You want to know the reason he is like this? It's because of you Rick!" I say and stand up. Carl pulls me back down "Let me go!" I say and Carl lets me go "Your the reason why! He saw you kill so his first instinct was to kill the boy! If you would have just made the right decisions in front of him this wouldn't have happened!" I say and storm out of the cell. "Ella!"Carl says and chases after me. "I'm not gonna let him make you more depressed Carl!" I say and Carl grabs my waist then spins me around to face him. "Im gonna be fine. You don't have to come with me." Carl says and I cup Carls face in my hands "Im going with you." I say and Carl nods "Come on let's go get your jacket it's cold outside." Carl says and I nod. We grab our jackets an go outside. Rick follows us and I sit down next to Carl on a bench. He grabbed his dads sheriff pin and had it in his hand. "Why did you do it?" Rick asks Carl. "I did it to protect them. I did what I had to do dad! I did what I had to do.I didn't shoot the walker that killed Dale know look where he is!" Carl says and hands his gun to Rick because Rick said he couldn't have a gun anymore. "Hand yours over to Ella." Rick says and my mouth drop. "No! If Carl can't protect me and Judith anymore I'm the only one who can!" I say and Rick takes my gun from my pocket "Take it but you can't take my bow and arrow from me! You never will! My dad gave me that and if you think your taking it screw you Rick!" I say and grab Carls hand "Come on Carl lets go." I say and pull Carl up with me. He drops the pin and I bring him to his cell and hug him once we get in there. "I'm sorry! Im so sorry your life is horrible know! Im so sorry!" Is all I could say to Carl. He hugged me back and shakes his head "It wasn't your fault." Carl says and hugs me tighter "It wasn't your fault baby. It wasn't your fault." Carl says and strokes my hair "None of this is your fault." Carl says and Rick walks by "Dont make me the bad guy Ella. I'm just tying to keep y'all safe." Rick says and I pull away from Carl. "Safe? Safe? Rick your not keeping us safe! You can't keep us safe! Not in this world not in any world! There will always be times where you can't keep us safe! And right know is one of those times!" I say and shake my head "Im not trying to make you the bad guy Rick. Im just saying when Carl,Judith, and I become people who don't even think twice about shooing someone we don't know I want you to know its gonna be your fault because you don't hesitate to do anything I front of us! You kill in front of us, yell at nothing In front of us! Rick do you need help? Because I see you talk to yourself as if Lori is there and......and it's not normal." I say and Rick sighs "Im fine. Were going see Woodbury try and talk to Andrea." Rick says and i nod. "Im not mad I want you to know that.Im just stating facts." I say and Rick nods "I get it." Rick says "Dad be careful." Carl says and Rick nods "Yeah make it back safely." I say and Rick leaves. "Everything's gonna be okay know." I say softly and kiss Carls cheek. "Guess what." I say and Carl looks at me. "What?" he asks and hugs my torso. "I love you to the end of the universe and back." I say and Carl smiles "I love you to the end of the universe and back to." Carl says and kisses my forehead. "I still don't get how a monster like me got an angel like you." Carl says "Because everyones a monster in this world but everyone is also an angel. So you think your more of a monster then me that means when you look at me you see an angel." I say and Carl nods "Yes that's true." he says "But that's the thing. Im not an angel." I say softly and Carl shakes his head. "But you are." Carl says and I chuckle "Please! If you only knew." I say and walk out of the cell "If you only knew." I say with a smile and Carl grabs hand. "What do your mean?" Carl asks and I laugh "Carl I'm exactly like you! You just don't want to see it!" I say and shake my head "Its not our fault. This world...... It changes you." I say and Carl smirks "Maybe you are like me." Carl says and I smile "I told you." I say and kiss Carl. "It's still not a good thing your like me though Ella." Carl says and I tilt my head to the side "Were here surviving aren't we? So it must be a good thing." I say and Carl shakes his head "Lets just lay down and not talk about it." Carl says and I push him down onto the bed."Okay." I say and sit down on the bed puting my legs over Carls. He leans over to me and puts his head into my neck. Carl kisses my neck and tickles my neck with his nose. "Carl stop!' I say and giggle Carl stops and lays his head on my chest. I play with his hair "Your hair is so fluffy! I love it!" I say and Carl chuckles. "Your hands are so soft and you don't yank my hair unlike Judith so you can play with it all you want." Carl says and I giggle. Carl rubs little circles on my hip with his thumb as I play with his hair and we both slowly fall asleep.

"She deserves to know! Yes she was mad at Andrea but she still loved her!" I hear Carl say and no longer feel him laying on my chest. I turn and feel someone sit down on the bed. I open my eyes and see Rick and Carl in the cell. "W-Whats wrong with Andrea?" I ask and Carl crawls over to me on the bed. "Ella she....The Governor hurt Milton and left him to die in a room and locked the room with Andrea in it.....and she got bit." Carl says and I sit up "W-What?" I ask and Carl hugs me "Carl... I was so mean to her! God I wish I could take it all back!" I cry into Carls chest. "She said what you said about her was reasonable. She said she knows you love her.She also said she loves you and always will and that she will watch over you with Amy." Rick says and I bawl up Carl's shirt in my little hands. "Im jut glad she knows I love her." I say and Rick nods "Uh..... y'all should probably come outside." Rick says and I nod. Carl wraps his arm around my waist and brings me outside. When we step outside I see a bus and all the WoodBury people coming off the bus. "What is this?" Carl asks furiously. "They said they would put every thing behind them. Help us take care of the prison." Rick says "Dad one of them hurt Ella!" Carl says and I wrap my arms around his. "It's fine I have y'all watching over me." I say and Carl sighs "Were going inside." Carl says and brings me to his cell. "Get your stuff I'm not letting a stranger who didn't like us sleep in the same cell as you." Carl says and I nod. I grab my bag from the other cell and bring it into Carls cell. "Lets......do somethin get our minds off of today." Carl says and closes the curtain to the cell. "Well what you gonna do to get today off our minds?" I ask in an innocent voice and Carl smiles. "Oh how you can play anyone with that little innocent voice." Carl says and crawls onto the bed. He presses his lips up against my ear "But I know you all to well Ella. That innocent voice doesn't work for me anymore." Carl whispers in my ear and I smile. "It was worth a shot." I say and Carl chuckles. He buries his nose in the crook of my neck, tickling me and I giggle. "I think everything's gonna be okay know for a good while." I say and Carl nods "Me to." Carl says and kisses my neck. The rest of the day me and Carl just hung out in the cell all day making each other laugh and just forgetting about all that happened today. We talked about the good life before this and how we were so lucky to have each other. I loved the afternoon it defiantly made me and Carl feel better.
