I nodded as Morrowseer handed me the nightwing egg. I slipped  through the entrance  and placed the egg  in the nest. My name is Y/n of the Talons of Peace. I'm  a Nightwing. My eyes landed on the Mudwing  egg as it began to hatch. "The Mudwing is hatching."  I said, turning  to Dune and Kestrel. "What? We don't  have the Sky wing egg yet!" Dune said. "Try telling  that to the egg." Kestrel  said. "I have the egg!" Webs said, carrying  a rainwings egg. "Webs, you brainless salamander! That's a Rainwings egg! The prophecy calls for  a Skywing." Kestrel  growled  as Webs layed the egg in the nest. "There was an accident." Webs said. I watched  as the Mudwing hatched. "Clay. It's name is Clay." I said. Kestrel  nodded. "Wait! It's attacking the other eggs!" Dune exclaimed. Kestrel  grabbed  Clay. "Kestrel, what's wrong  with him?" Dune asked. "Nothing. He's just what we need. A little monster." Kestrel  said.

I watched  as the dragonets played together. Starflight looked at me, being  pinned down by Clay. "Not to rough, Clay!" I reminded  him. Clay nodded and sat in front  of me. "Tell us a story!" He exclaimed, the others joining him. I nodded. "Well, long ago, there was  a scary Nightwing  named Darkstalker. He was something  called an animus. Now, Darkstalker  wasn't  just any Nightwing. He was half Icewing. His father was prince Arctic and his mother was Foeslayer. He also had a sister named Whiteout. He had a friend  named Fathom, and another  friend  named Clearsight. Darkstalker  didn't  like Arctic, so, one day, he mind controlled  Arctic." I said. Glorys eyes lit up. "What happened?" She asked. "Darkstalker  ordered  Arctic  to cut out his tounge, and then told Arctic  to disect himself!" I said. The dragonets gasped. "Ok, bed time young  ones." I said, picking  up the dragonets. They laughed. Finally, after putting  them to bed, Clay was last. He looked up at me, his eyes shining and I tucked  him in. "Goodnight, Miss Nightwing." He murmered. "Goodnight, Clay." I said, and left the cave.
