"Mangos! Bananas! Papaya! Do we have if all?!" Kinkajou called, and y/n nodded, a small chuckle from him as  his friend bounced up and down, excited for the new school they would go to, Jade Mountain Academy.

"Then let's go!" She exclaimed, flying up and out of the rainforest. Y/n laughed and took off after her, his f/c and 2f/c changing to  pink and yellow. It wasn't long before they saw the academy, and they landed at the front steps, some Icewings and a Sandwing passing them. Y/n studied the Sandwing for a moment before Kinkajou nudged him. Together, they walked up the steps and were greeted by a very friendly Nightwing.

"Hi! Whoa, are you two brother and sister?! Your scales are the same colors! I'm Fatespeaker! And you two are?" The Nightwing asked, her eyes searching them and the list she had in her talons.

"Actually, we're just friends. I'm y/n, and this is my best friend, Kinkajou." Y/n said, correcting the Nightwing. Fatespeaker nodded, her eyes scanning the list.

"Oh! Sorry,! Anyways, both of you are lucky! You're both in the Jade Winglet! Have fun, heres a map!" Fatespeaker said, and they stepped into the school, immediately trying to find they're Winglet. It was tough, but they found it. As they stepped in, an Icewing and the Sandwing y/n saw earlier were already in.

"Look, Winter! Some of our clawmates!" The Sandwing exclaimed, seeing the two Rainwings. The Icewing, Winter, scoffed and turned towards them.

"Oh. They don't look too bad, actually. They don't even look all that lazy." Winter said, scanning y/n and Kinkajou.

"Was that a complement? If so, I do like your scales. They're very shiny." Y/n said, and Winter blinked in surprise.

"Well, thank you. Huh, I never got your name. You are?" Winter asked, curiosity in his tone of voice.

"I'm Y/n, and this is Kinkajou." He said, and, before Winter could answer, the Sandwing butted in.

"M-mys n-n-n-names Q-Qibli! You-u have a-a-a-a very mute name! Ack! I-I mean boot! Eep! N-no! I m-m-meant cute!" Qibli stammered, fumbling over his words. Winter and Kinkajou glanced at each other, confused.

"I- ah, thank you, Qibli. You have a very cute name too!" Y/n said, and slowly walked over to the Rainwing nest. It was pretty small. Only Kinkajou could fit into it!

"I-is your n-nest too s-s-s-small?" Qibli asked, stammering again.

"Yes. I'll let Kinkajou have it, though. Can I share with you?" He asked, and Qiblis face flushed in red.

"Yes! Yes, if course! Winters would be too cold for you!" He exclaimed, earning a confused glance from Winter. Y/n walked over and set down his bag. In it, there were scroll and a stuffed scorpion he had made.

"Great! Uh, I'm gonna go look for the library, is that ok?" Y/n said, and began to leave. Qibli nodded quickly and dashed out of the cave. Y/n giggled, Qibli was so cute!

A few days later...

Qiblis p.o.v

"Just tell him!" Carnelian exclaimed, spreading out her wings once y/n left the cave.

"Ughhhhhhh! But I can't! He's just so- so perfect!" I groaned, my talons tracing the necklace that Tsunami had helped me make. It was simple, but beautiful. It had shiny yellow string, and a pearl in the center, and flowers made out of jewels were around the pearl.

"Well, if you don't tell him,  I'll tell him myself!" Carnelian snapped, and I could tell she meant it. I shook my head quickly. Carnelian would ruin it!
