"Mud! Muddy mud!" The Mudwing exclaimed, jumping into the mud, sending up small drops of it into the air.
Splotch!
"Eugh! Mud!" Another Mudwing, Y/n, cried, shaking the mud off his wings as quick as possible, earning a laugh from Umber.
"Mister Y/n, are you scared of mud?" He asked, looking up at Y/n with large eyes. Y/n was a few days older than Umber, and much more mature. Jade Mountain Academy had turned his friend into a newborn dragonet again!
"No! I just don't like it when I'm splashed!" He snapped, making Umber flinch. His friend never acted like this!
"But, you always do!" Umber protested, staring into y/ns e/c eyes. Y/n narrowed his eyes, glaring at Umber.
"Being at that stupid Academy thing has made you act like a dragonet! You've been making everything a joke since you came back, and I don't like it!" Y/n snarled, turning and stomping away, leaving a shocked and heartbroken Umber behind.
Umbers p.o.v
I blinked in surprise as y/n stomped away, fury raging all around him.
'I made him like that?'
'Hes right, though. I have been making everything a joke since I got back.' My eyes were still fixed on Y/n. He hadn't gone far, though. He stopped, turned his head and stared at me. I jumped out of the mud pit, shook off the mud, and ran towards him, jumping onto his back and hugged him.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I cried, nuzzling into his scales as he made his way to his den and climbed in. I glanced around it, and it was beautiful! A nest, carefully woven by talons was in the middle, a fluffy blanket inside it. Small light hung above us, giving the den a pretty look. Y/n curled up in the nest, pulling me close to his chest.
"I'm sorry, Umber. I didn't mean to snap at you." He whispered, laying a wings across me. I smiled at him and yawned, making Y/n chuckle.
"Good night, Cinnamon roll."
"Good night." I whispered, and feel into sleep, with my boyfriend, y/n, sleeping beside me.
Honestly, I see Umber as a cinammon roll. I couldn't help myself!
