Arohi almost choked on her coffee when she heard Arjun whistling as he came down the stairs.  Her eyes widening.  He seemed...happy.  He never seemed happy.  Even when he was happy he never showed it.  "Are you okay?" she asked as he approached the dining table.  Arjun frowned and Arohi sighed and then smiled.  Now that was more like it.  "Should there be something wrong with me?" he asked.  Arohi shook her head and quickly stuffed a bite of toast in her mouth.  How exactly had she come to the conclusion he was happy?  He was downright grouchy!  They ate in silence.  Nani and Mom had gone to the mandir so it was just Arjun and Arohi this morning.  "How was your movie?" he asked, slowly buttering his toast.  "Good thanks." Arohi replied.  "Samir asked me, and first I wasn't really in the mood but then he ended up convincing me."  she said, shrugging her shoulders.  "Yeah, he seems quite convincing doesn't he?!" Arjun replied, taking a bite of his toast.  "Huh?" Arohi asked furrowing her brows.  "Never mind." he replied picking up his newspaper, and successfully ending their conversation.  Arohi stared at him shaking her head.  "Arkoo!" she muttered, and then jumped as Arjun lowered his paper.  " I heard that!" he snapped, turning back to his paper.  Arohi quickly stuffed the rest of her toast into her mouth.  It was best if she didn't speak!   Arjun brooded as he read, or rather stared at his newspaper.  Was he going to do this or what?!  He was not an indecisive man so why was he hesitating?   "Arohi!" he snapped, louder then necessary.  Folding the paper and placing it next to him he gave her a half smile, his eyes staring intently at hers.  "I should be done at the office early tonight."  "Let's go out for dinner."  Arohi promptly choked on her toast.  Coughing and sputtering until Arjun shook his head and stood up coming up behind her to thump her on the back.  When she could finally speak she asked "You're asking ME out to dinner?"  Arjun stared at her and then snapped "Do you see anyone else in the room?"  Arohi shook her head no.  "Okay, I'll go out for dinner with you." she said brightly.  Arjun narrowed his brows.  She sounded like she was the princess and he was the peasant and she was granting him his wish.  Just as he opened his mouth to tell her he'd changed his mind he shut it.   He hadn't changed his mind.  Tonight was the night that he was going to get Arohi out of his system once and for all.  Dinner and some wine just might make it a little bit easier.  Hell he wanted her so bad he could carry her upstairs right now and make love to her.  BUT from previous experience he knew women liked to be wined and dined.  So he would wine and dine her and then he'd carry her up to his room and they weren't leaving that room until he was over this insane infatuation with her.  "Arjun what time should I be ready?" she asked.  "The earlier the better." he muttered.  He wanted all night with her.  "Huh?" she asked interrupting her thoughts.  "Be ready for 6:00." he answered.  Arohi nodded biting back a giggle.  Her and Arjun were going out on their first date.  He was starting to like her, why else would he ask her out for dinner?  Why else would he want to spend time with her?  Staring dreamily at him sip his coffee she sighed.  6:00 couldn't come fast enough!

"All this work, how am I going to get all this done in the next 2 days?" Arohi wondered as the principal handed her another stack of sheets.  "Arohi, I read in your resume how you planned the Christmas concert for the school you did your practicum in.  From your reference letters everyone was very impressed by it."  "I need you to plan something similar for our school aswell."  "Plan an itinerary and include all the classes and have it for me on Thursday."  "I meet with the trustees of the school on Monday, I can show it to them then."  Arohi nodded.  2 days!  Which really meant 2 evenings because she was at school during the day.  A weeks worth of work in 2 nights!  Just wonderful.  "Okay sir, I'll see what I can come up with." she replied.   Samir caught up with her as she walked down the corridor, her mind racing on just how and what she was going to do.  "Arohi, what's wrong?' he asked, seeing the distracted look in her eyes.  Arohi explained what she had to do and Samir shook his head and smiled.  "That's what's got you worried!"  "Don't worry about that, I'll help you."  "Infact I'll come over tonight and we'll start work on it." he said.  Arohi's face lit up.  "Thanks so much Samir, you're a good friend."  "I'll see you tonight...oh wait a minute tonight I'm busy."  "How was she going to do everything in 1 night!"  "But she didn't want to miss out on dinner with Arjun either."  "Could you come later Samir, let's say around 9:30."  "I know it's kind of late..." she added.  "No, no it's not late." he quickly replied.  "I can be there at 9:30 for sure."  "You're the best!" Arohi said, throwing her arms around Samir and giving him a quick hug.  "Okay, I've gotta get back to my class." she said hurrying away.  Samir stared after her, a small smile on his face.  "Anything for you my sweet Arohi." he whispered longingly.

Arohi rushed home, it was 5:45!  She had 15 minutes to make herself look presentable.  She had wanted to take a shower, curl her hair, redo her make up and now there was no time for any of that!  Seeing Arjun coming out of his room she quickly hurried past him.  "I'll be quick." she called ,slamming the door in his face.  Arjun shook his head.  Quick!  Yeah right, how many times had he heard that before?   Heading down to his study, he thought might as well get some work done.  15 minutes later he stared in surprise at Arohi standing at his office door.  "You look beautiful." came out of his mouth before he could stop himself.  A blush crept up Arohi's cheeks at the unexpected compliment.  She'd worn a black lace knee length sleeveless dress.  Her hair swept up to one side with a pretty clip.  Her make up minimal, just her eyes highlighted and a quick gloss on her lips.   "Ready?" he asked gruffly, getting up from his chair.  Arohi nodded and walked out ahead of him.  Arjun's gaze lingered over her.  Just need to get through dinner and then it's home and to bed, he thought with a smile.   "How was your day?" Arohi asked later as they drove to the restaurant.  "Good." Arjun answered playing with the radio dial.  Pausing he asked "How was your day?"  Arohi smiled and then launched into a long winded point by point re cap of her day.  "And then I told sir that it's not much time but I'll try my best." she said.  "We're here!" Arjun interrupted quickly pulling up infront of the restaurant.  He had wanted numerous times to snap at Arohi during her long winded story.  But he hadn't, not quite sure why he hadn't but he hadn't.  One thing though that had got his back up is why didn't she tell that principal to cut her some slack?  When was she supposed to sleep if she was working on that damn project he assigned her?  Opening the door to her passenger side he waited for her to step out before he handed the keys to the valet.  Pressing a gentle hand along the small of her back he led her into the restaurant where he was recognized instantly and quickly led to a private table over looking the water.  "This place is so pretty." Arohi gushed, looking around.  Arjun glanced around.  "It's one of the restaurants our company designed when we first went into business."  "The owner liked it so much he had us design 6 more similar yet different concept restaurants and lounges." he added.  Arohi smiled.  She loved listening to him talk.  "See the way the lounge is designed." he began.  Arohi listened as he described a few unique features about the building, asking questions here and there.  But as  their drinks and  salads arrived, Arjun caught himself.  He wasn't used to talking so much about his work with someone who wasn't in the field.  He didn't know how he'd ended up telling Arohi so much.  "Aren't you going to drink your wine?" he asked as she sipped her water.  "No, I don't think so."  "I do silly things when I drink."  Arjun frowned.  "No, you don't."  "Go ahead, I'm here... just have a glass." he tempted.  He wanted her to be relaxed for tonight.  By no means drunk, but definitely relaxed.  "Arjun, no I can't."  "Remember what happened last time, I couldn't even remember how your  um..your um shirt ended up in my bed." she said blushing.  "I to this day don't know how that got there." she said shaking her head.  " I don't want a repeat of that." she said shaking her head. "I mean not the shirt in my bed, but the fact that I don't remember what I did." she mumbled.  Arjun took a deep breath and then finally said "I put that shirt there Arohi."  "Nothing happened, cause like I told you before, if something had happened you wouldn't have forgotten it."  "You put that shirt there?!" she asked, her eyes widening in shock.  "Yeah, not on purpose."  "You'd asked for water which I'd given you and you'd promptly spilled it on me, so I took the shirt off and you took it from me!"  "That's how it got in your bed."  "Nothing happened, there's no big story... that was it." "So why'd you make me think something happened?" she asked with a frown.  Arjun shrugged.  "For fun." he said, with a half smile.  Arohi glared at him but not before a flash of disappointment crossed her face.  She flushed and looked away as Arjun's knowing gaze lingered on her face.  Taking her hand, he gently touched her wrist, drawing little circles on her pulse point.  "You look disappointed Arohi...would you like for something have happened?"  Arohi gulped and tried to pull her hand away.  He was making her feel tingly all over.  Catching her wrist he held tight, but not tight enough to hurt her.  "Your pulse is racing Arohi, any reason for that?" he asked, as he lifted her hand and pressed a kiss on her wrist and then the palm of her hand.  Arohi was transfixed.  She knew he was doing something that maybe he shouldn't be doing here but she couldn't seem to open her mouth to tell him to stop.  The butterflies in her tummy were going crazy and that was just from a little kiss on her wrist.  Picking up her glass of wine she quickly drank some back not even realizing what she was doing.  Arjun smiled smugly.  It was nice to see Arohi reacting and feeling something, cause god knows he had suffered alone long enough!

Arohi forced herself to eat because the way Arjun kept looking at her was making her extremely conscious of herself.  What was wrong with him?  What was wrong with her?!  He hadn't touched her again yet she could actually feel his hands on her.  That's the way he was looking at her.  His hooded gaze on her, as he ate his food, drank his vodka soda and talked to her but the words all seemed to have a double meaning.  Or was it her that was taking everything out of context.  Leaning back Arjun looked at her.  "She seemed so skittish all of a sudden." "Would you like dessert Arohi?' he asked in his deep sexy voice.  Arohi promptly blushed.  "I, what do you mean by that?" she stammered and then blushed again.  Arjun raised a brow.  "Exactly what I asked...would you like dessert?" he asked again.  Arohi quickly drank back more of her wine.  Grabbing the bottle to pour more, Arjun quickly took it from her hands.  "Arohi, it's not juice, slow down." he said.  Arohi nodded.   "You didn't answer me on the dessert thing so I'm assuming no."  "Good, let's go." he said standing up.  Arohi stared up at him.  "Aren't you going to pay." she stammered.  "I have a tab." he answered pulling her up.  Arohi felt her body flush right against his.  Bringing his mouth close to her ear he whispered.  "You never asked if I wanted dessert?"  Arohi swallowed and stared at him with big eyes.  "I, I..." she stammered.  "I?"  "Are you offering yourself as dessert." he asked, taking her hand and pulling her along.  As they walked outside, Arohi thanked god for the cold air.  She was so hot, she felt like she was on fire.  Stopping at her passenger side he opened the door and said against her ear.  "Cause if you are Arohi then I definitely want dessert, infact several servings."  Pushing her gently into the car, Arjun smiled at the look of shock on Arohi's face.  Getting into the car he leaned over to help her with her seat belt...she seemed to have forgotten all about it.  And then as his body grazed hers, hers eyes flew up to meet his.  Leaning in he gave her a deep, hard kiss.  As quick as it was, it got both their hearts beating faster.  Grabbing her hand securely in his he looked straight ahead because he knew if he looked at her he wouldn't be able to stop himself from kissing her again.  Arohi stared straight ahead completely dazed.  They got home in record time, getting out of the car, Arjun forced himself to slow down and not act like a horny teenager but rather the mature adult  he was.  Grabbing her hand as she stepped out of the car he pulled her along into the house.  Nani and his mom were no where to be seen.  Probably in the family room watching their usual dramas.  Arohi ran to keep up with him, but as they rounded the corner of the stairwell Arjun pulled her against him and gave her a kiss so hot that it left them both panting.  "Arjun," she whispered.  I'm going to make you scream that name tonight Arohi, he promised himself.  His eyes dark with desire he pulled her into their room and locked the door.  Arohi stared at Arjun, she'd seen desire in his eyes numerous times, but this, this was something completely different.  It was red hot, and god help her she wanted him just as much.  Stalking towards her, she felt her mouth go dry as he unbuttoned his shirt.  "You know what's about to happen here don't you Arohi?' he asked, in his sexy husky voice.  Ofcourse!  She was about to be made love to by the man she was in love with.  Just the thought of it was making her tingly what would happen when he actually touched her?  She watched as he stripped off his shirt and threw it on the bed as he walked to her.   Arohi hit the wall behind her and froze, not being able to look away from him.  He was so fit.  His shoulders so broad, his stomach so tight.  He didn't pause, he didn't speak, as he got closer to her he pulled her against him and kissed her.  A kiss so hot and passionate there was no doubt in Arohi's mind that their love making would be just as good.  His hands moved over her body, caressing and unzipping, all the while his lips continued to make love to her mouth.  Arohi moaned against him and moved her hands to his hair.  Pressing closer and closer.  "Arjun," she sighed as he kissed and bit her neck.  "You're so damn hot Arohi."  he whispered against her feverish skin as he kissed her shoulder and his hands settled on her bare stomach.

"Arohi, Arohi???" and then knocking at the door had Arohi slowly start to come out of her daze.  "Arohi?'" "Arohi?" someone called.  Arohi trired to concentrate on the noise but Arjun and his mouth and his hands were doing things do her that made her brain fuzzy.  "Arohi beta."  "Are you in there?"  "Your friend Samir is downstairs." Arjun's mom called.  Arohi paused and then gasped.  "Arjun, oh my god Arjun let go." she whispered frantically.  Arjun shook his head and kept on kissing her.  Oh my gosh!  "Arjun," she snapped.  "I'm coming, I'll be right down" she called to her mother in law.  How embarrassing!  she thought to herself as Arjun finally seemed to be reacting to her struggles.  "Arohi, what's wrong?' he asked, kissing her neck.  Arohi bit back a groan but quickly slipped away from him, leaving a bewildered and clearly frustrated Arjun to stare after her.  "Come back here!" he ordered.  "No, mom's at the door!" "Didn't you hear her?" she demanded tugging on her dress.  Arjun's eyes widened.  Why was Arohi putting on clothes, she should be taking more off and here she was actually putting them on!  "No I didn't hear her!"  "Just tell her you're going to bed early!"  He hadn't lived with his parents for years and wasn't used to being interrupted during these kind of situations.  "I can't!" Arohi stammered.  "Why can't you?"  "I'll do it for you!" he snapped, striding to the door.  "No, Arjun, I can't because Samir is downstairs."  "He came to help me on the project Sir gave me."  Arjun stopped in his tracks and then slowly turned around.  A look of astonishment on his face.  "What did you say?"  Arohi quickly repeated herself.  "THAT Samir, is here...NOW... at this time?!"  He was going to kill that guy!" Arjun thought furiously.  "I told him to come Arjun, I thought we were just going for dinner...I didn't think...well... I didn't think we'd be doing anything else." she stammered blushing furiously.  "Well that's bloody apparent!" Arjun snapped.  "Get rid of him." he ordered.  Arohi's mouth fell open.  "Arjun, I can't get rid of him."  "He came so late and out of his way to help me."  "That would be so rude of me to tell him to leave."  Arjun stared at her not believing that she was actually saying NO to him.  "So, that's it?" he asked.  "Well, no...just for today, but once I have this finished." she began.  The look in Arjun's eyes stopped her, he was furious.  Turning on his heal, he grabbed his pajamas and stalked into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him, making Arohi jump.

The next night Arjun stood at the top of the stairs listening to Arohi giggle at something Samir said.  Their heads close together.  Last night he'd waited, and fumed, and stalked like a caged lion in his room.  Ofcourse by the time Arohi came up, he pretended he was asleep.  He didn't want her thinking he was waiting for her or rather waiting for that Samir to go home!  "Loser!" Arjun muttered to himself folding his arms across his broad chest and watching and eying Samir with a look of barely contained anger on his face.   What kind of guy goes after a married woman?  Arohi was blind!  Completely blind.   "Arjun?" Nani exclaimed from behind him.  Arjun closed his eyes and forced himself not to snap.  Nani had a habit of sneaking up on him.  She did it almost every morning as he came out of his home gym and she came in from her walk.  He had a feeling she did it on purpose.  "What are you doing just standing there?" she questioned.  Arjun turned towards her, his eyes narrowing.  It was his home and if he wanted to stand and watch his wife with another man on his own sofa then so be it.  "Is there something you needed nani?" he asked instead.  "That Samir is such a nice boy, speaks so politely to his elders."  "You could learn something from that young man." she said, a hard look in her eyes.  Arjun's eyes widened.  Be like Samir?!"  Nani was going senile in her old age!  "I'll get right on that Nani." he snapped, heading down the stairs.  That was the moment Sweetoo decided to come around the corner too.  Seeing Arjun he raced over excitedly.  His tail wagging.  Arjun gave Sweetoo a look and the dog quickly sat down.  "He loves you so much." Arohi said happily as she approached the two of them.  "My life is complete, your mutt loves me." Arjun replied dryly.  Arohi pretended not to hear Arjun and instead cooed at her "baby."  Sweetoo did you say hi to Uncle Samir?" she asked, calling Samir over.  Sweetoo took one look at Samir and growled.  And then the barking started.  Arohi looked worriedly at Sweetoo.  "Baby are you okay?" she asked.  Arjun looked between a fidgety and uncomfortable Samir to an annoyed Sweetoo and then he smiled.  Even the damned dog could see what a tool Samir was, yet Arohi still didn't see it!  Sweetoo was getting out of control with his barking now and Arohi was trying her best to calm him down.  "I should go." Samir said ,practically hiding behind Arohi.  "No, you should stay Samir." Arjun cut in.  "The dog obviously really likes you."  "You should stay." he repeated coldly, clearly meaning the opposite.  Samir looked around uncomfortably.  "He never does this." Arohi said worriedly.  "I hope he's okay." she added.  Arjun rolled his eyes.  "DOG!"  "Be quiet and sit down!" he ordered, looking straight at Sweetoo.  And Arohi gasped when Sweetoo did just that.  "How did you do that?" she asked.  "Do what?" he replied, giving Samir a menacing look.  He couldn't believe the guy was still there.  "Arjun, you completely put Sweetoo at ease."  "He loves his daddy so much." she cooed.  Arjun gave her and Sweetoo both a disgusted look.  "Technically I think I'm his daddy Arohi, remember it was you and I that found and rescued him?" Samir said from behind her.  Arjun's eyes snapped to Samir's and he couldn't believe what he had just heard.  "Um," Arohi replied uncomfortably.  "I do see a physical resemblance, you're right you must be the dad." Arjun piped up.  A giggle burst out of Arohi's mouth before she could stop herself.  Samir glared at Arjun, his face turned red.  "Your son has been destroying everything he can get a hold of, should I send  the bill directly to you?" Arjun asked.  Arohi hid another giggle behind a cough.  Arjun was being so funny today, teasing Samir and all.  "I should get going." Samir said, ignoring Arjun.  "You should." Arjun threw in before he walked past them.  "And take your son with you." he added, as he walked into his office.  "Arjun's being so funny." she said with a giggle but Samir knew he wasn't being funny.  Arjun Singhania didn't like him, which was fine because Samir didn't like Arjun either.  But he hadn't missed the smiles Arohi was giving Arjun either.  Earlier, he had thought there was trouble in paradise but maybe he had been wrong.  He half listened to Arohi as she walked him to the door.  What was he going to do now?!

Arjun made his way back up to his room fairly quickly.  Even though that Samir took his sweet time leaving!   Him and Arohi still had the rest of the night.  A wicked smile touched his lips as he thought about everything he was going to do to her tonight.  Opening the door to his room he looked in and his smile turned into a frown.  Where was she?  "Arohi." he called walking further into the room.  Where was she now? he thought.  Sending her a quick text he asked her to come back to his room.  "I can't believe how desperate I'm getting." he said, shaking his head in disgust.  But making love to Arohi was all he thought about lately.  He wasn't able to concentrate on anything but that.  Staring at his phone he frowned when he got no response back from her.  Bloody hell! he thought as he left his room, and walked back downstairs.  He followed the sound of laughter and came to an abrupt stop.  His mom was massaging Arohi's head and Nani was sitting on the sofa massaging his mom's head!  This was such an odd scene.  The three of them giggling like school girls.  But as Arjun stopped and watched them undetected, a small smile touched his lips.  Animated Arohi was telling some story and nani was laughing the hardest.  His mom smiling at both Nani and Arohi.  It was...heartwarming. he thought to himself.  A moment later he moved back and out of the room.  Who knew how long this was going to go on?! Heading back to his room he gave a dejected sigh.  If his friends were to see him now they would have a great laugh.  He who never had to even try with women was being forced to chase his own wife.  And she was proving to very difficult to catch!

"So how's the seducing coming along?" Lara asked the next afternoon.  Arohi had just handed in the project to the principal and Lara and her were going to go out for coffee to catch up.  "Lara!" Arohi squealed, looking at all the little kids running by them.  "Can we please talk about this once we've left the school's premises!" she said.  Lara shrugged.  "Bye, Arohi Maam." a group of little girls called.  "Bye kids, I'll see you tomorrow." she called and then stopped as she saw Reena's little girl Gia sitting by herself.  "Gia, your mom's not here to pick you up yet." she asked.  Gia shook her head.  "My papa is home, he's supposed to pick me up."  she said.  "Oh," Arohi replied.  She'd never heard Reena mention anything about a husband.  She'd just assumed he wasn't in the picture.  "We'll wait with you." she said, glancing at Lara.  Lara nodded her head.  "So how are you liking your classes..." Arohi began.  A few minutes later a haggard Reena ran up to them.  "I'm so sorry." she said tearfully.  "Gia hugged her mom.  "Arohi, you didn't have to wait."  "I've just been running late today."  "I took the day off work today to get some errands done." she said quietly.  Arohi stared at her.  "What happened to your eye?" she asked.  "Nothing, I fell and hurt myself."  "It's better now." Reena said quickly.  Arohi frowned.  "Reena you need to be careful, and next time you can't pick up Gia, just let me know I can drop her off." Arohi said with a smile.  Reena thanked her and the two of them quickly hurried away.  "I'll see you tomorrow." Arohi called.  An unsettling feeling spread through her.  "Ready?" Lara asked.  Arohi nodded.

Their coffee became dinner as Lara told her all about how Jai and her met and their love story.  She added plenty of stories of Arjun in there too, admitting that the only reason her and Jai had met was because two of her friends had fallen in love with Arjun and in their scheming to see Arjun all the time her and Jai kept bumping into each other.  "So did Arjun date a lot in college?" Arohi asked, trying to be nonchalant.  "Um, yes he dated."  "Was he serious about any of them?...not really."  "He's had lots of girl friends Arohi, but I've never seen him act the way he acts around you...that protectiveness he shows with you."  "That I have to say I thought I'd never see with Arjun Singhania." she added.  Arohi smiled.  "He's really very sweet and caring you know."  He's a little gruff but he's got a big heart.  she added with a blush.  "Oooh some one is in looove!"  Lara gushed.  "Well I guess it's a good thing he's your husband."  "It's weird how things turn out." she added.  Arohi nodded.  It was weird that Vicky was the reason that she was so happy.  Vicky...she felt nothing. Not a thing at the thought of him. Lately she'd been thinking about that relationship and how her and Vicky had been such good friends and the worse thing they could have done to that friendship was to try to make it something more.   She guessed it was the feeling of being comfortable with someone. What she had felt for Vicky had been love, but she'd never been IN love with Vicky. She knew that now that she had experience what it felt to be in love. She knew the difference and it was night and day. Arjun made her feel things emotionally and physically that she never in a million years could have imagined. She didn't like the route Vicky had taken. Leaving her the day before the wedding, but she did see now that they could never have been happy together. And she would never have married Arjun, the man she'd grow to love more then anything in the world.

Arjun limped into his room, swearing under his breath.  He couldn't believe he'd actually gotten hurt!  He liked to think that he'd been playing football since before he could walk!  He liked to think he was invincible.  He liked to think he was just as quick and agile as he was at 20.  But right now he just felt tired and freakin old!  He had almost made the touchdown.  Like all the other ones he'd made the whole evening.  That's why it was a shock when the new 20 year old on the team had barreled into him causing him to land hard on his ankle.  Jai had forced him to go to the hospital too, which had just irritated him more.  He was no pansy a*s that couldn't take some pain.  But the embarrassment of losing such an each touchdown was what he would have problems getting over.  "I told you it was nothing!" Arjun snapped gruffly, as Jai drove him home.  "Your ankle is swollen to the size of your arm, so f&$% you, if I don't think that's nothing!" Jai snapped back.  Arjun couldn't help smiling through the excruciating pain.  "I'm going to kick that kids a*s during the next game." Arjun said determinedly.  Jai  muttered something about stubborn bas***d under his breath.  "So the doctor said to rest for the next 3 to 4 days and to keep icing it." "So don't bother coming into the office." Jai ordered in a tone that dared him to argue.  "I'll work from home." Arjun replied instead.  "We're leaving for London in 5 days Jai, there's a lot to be done before that!" he snapped.  Jai didn't bother to argue he knew how pig headed Arjun was.  Good forbid he relax.   "Are you bringing Arohi to London?" Jai asked for the 5th time.  Arjun gave him a glare.  "What part of no don't you understand Jai!" he snapped.  The rest of the ride he just heard more muttering and swearing from Jai.

Arohi hummed as she ran up the stairs.  She was in a great mood.  Talking about Arjun all night did that to her.  Who would have thought she said to herself giggling.  Opening the door to their bedroom she walked in still humming but as her gaze met Arjun's and then moved to his bandaged foot her smile slipped and she gasped.  "What happened?" she asked, racing to his side.  Her hand reaching out to touch his ankle and then stopping.  "What happened?" she asked again in a wobbly voice.  "It's nothing, just hurt myself playing football."  "Dr. said it'll be fine in a day or two." he said gruffly.  Arohi nodded and then asked "Are you in pain?"  "Not much." he lied.  Biting her lip she looked down at his ankle.  Moving the ice until it sat better on his ankle.  She kept her head down and Arjun watched her until he heard her sniffling, still fidgeting with the ice pack.  "Arohi?" he said softly.  Arohi nodded still not looking at him.  And then Arjun felt something wet drop on his leg, and then another.  "Arohi?" he repeated, pulling at her arm.  Arohi looked up.  Her face wet with tears and the next thing he knew she was in his arms hugging him like she was never going to let her go.   He held her close, baffled by her tears and why she was so upset.  Was she crying for him?' he thought in surprise.  Finally pulling away she asked if he'd eaten.  He shook his head no, still staring at her confused.  "I'm going to get you dinner." she said.  "And then you can tell me who did this so I can go to his house and punch him!' she said.  Arjun chuckled at her comment, but seeing the look on her face his laughter died in his throat.  She was serious!  Watching her walk out  of the room he couldn't believe his little school teacher wife Arohi, who protected little dogs, and community centers and stole rings for friends from ex boyfriends.  She was going to go punch a 6'4, 250 lb jock... and all for him.  And she could probably do it too!  He didn't know why but the thought made him smile.  Folding his arms across his chest he leaned back against his headboard, the pain was still there but if anyone was to see him they would never know it cause he still wore the dopey smile across his lips.
