"Arjun, please can we stop!" Arohi begged as they trudged up a steep hil.  Now she knew why he'd come, it wasn't to protect her from ax murderers...it was to torture her.  "Just a little bit more." he replied.  Arohi stopped and glared at his back.  She'd been listening to him say "a little bit more" for the last 30 minutes!  No, she was not going on another second.  The others had been smart, they'd turned back when they realized that their nice leisurely hike was being taken over by drill Sargent Arjun Singhania and was definitely not nice neither leisurely anymore.  She had stayed back for him...but she saw now that, that was a big mistake.  Her stomach growled reminding her of the yummy breakfast she should be enjoying just about now.  "Arohi, what are you doing?"  "Come on get up, we're almost there." Arjun said from beside her.  "Oh I'm surprised you even noticed I wasn't behind you." she said sarcastically.  "The silence gave you away."  he answered dryly.  Arohi glared at him.  Look at him, barely out of breath.  A little sweaty but still looking so hot.  Whereas she was covered with sweat and there was no way she could take another step.  "Here drink this." Arjun said, handing her a water bottle.  Arohi took a big drink and clutched the bottle to her.  "I'm hungry and sweaty and hungry and tired and hungry!" she whined.  "Here try this energy bar." Arjun said passing her one.  Where was this stuff coming from? she wondered but greedily took it from him.  If she was going to die in this wilderness it was not going to be from starvation.  A few minutes later Arjun grabbed her hand and pulled her up.  "I promise it'll be worth it." he said, this time staying with her as they walked.  Arohi took a deep breath and started pushing forward.  "I swear Arjun if it's more then 5 minutes I'm going to just lay down right here." she warned.  From the corner of her eye she saw a smile lift to his lips.  She couldn't resist his smiles so she smiled too.  10 minutes later she wasn't smiling.  "I'm done!" she snapped throwing herself on a large rock.  Arjun opened his mouth to order her to continue and then shut it.  Handing her the water bottle he snapped "hold this!"  Arohi looked at him suspiciously but did what he asked and then the next moment she let out a gasp as he scooped her up in his arms as if she weighed nothing.  "What are you doing?" she squealed.  Arjun stubbornly moved forward.   Within seconds Arohi was smiling again.  Her arms now wrapped behind his neck.  "You can take as long as you like now." she said happily.  A muttered curse from Arjun's mouth didn't even faze her.  "This is so romantic." she said putting her head against his chest.  "Isn't it romantic?" she asked.  A look of disgust was Arjun's response to that.   Arohi chose to ignore that as well.  "Jab Kisi ki taraf Dil Jhunkne Lage."  she began to sing.  Arjun frowned but she continued. "Baat Aa Kar Zubaan Tak Rukne Lage, Aankhon Aankhon Mein Iqrar Hone Lage Bol Do Agar Tume Pyaar Hone Lage Hone Lage, Hone Lage...Jab...."  "What the hell are you doing?" Arjun snapped.  "Singing." she said happily.  "Jab Kisi ki taraf di jukhne lage."    "Please don't!" he interrupted only to have her sing louder.  "Hone lage, hone lage, Bol Do Agar Tume Pyaar Hone Lage Hone Lage, Pyaar Hone Lage... Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha  Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha... "  "Have you lost your mind Arohi?" Arjun asked. "Pyar to hona hi tha." Arohi sang happily and then let out a scream as she was unceremoniously dropped on her butt.  "OW!"  "What was that for?!" Arohi snapped, standing up and rubbing her backside.  "We're here." was his glib reply.  Arohi frowned at him and then turned towards this view that Arjun was talking about.   A soft gasp escaped her lips as she stared at the beauty in front of her.  The view before her was nothing short of stunning.  The forest was one thing from this height but the way the lake sparkled below them.  The quiet and absolute tranquility of the place as the two of them continued to take in the magnificence of nature before them.  "Beautiful is too insignificant of a word for this." Arohi said, still in total awe.  Arjun's gaze shifted to her face and his face softened.  Beautiful was too insignificant of a word, he thought as his eyes traveled over her face,  her eyes still wide with awe.  She took his breath away, even now she still had that effect over him.  Arohi looked over at Arjun with surprise when she felt his hand take hers in a gentle grasp.  She looked at him, taking in the beauty that surrounded them and was happy that he'd shared this place with her.  Leaning her head against his shoulder they continued to stare out at the stunning view in silence.

"I thought you guys got lost that's why it took you so long." Lara said as Arohi finished her very late breakfast.  "No we just decided to take the scenic route." she replied with a soft smile on her lips.  "I see." Lara teased with a knowing smile.  "Is the scenic route code for you two were sharing some romantic moments."  Lara continued.  Arohi blushed and then gave her friend a stern look.  "Why didn't you tell me Arjun was coming camping?"  Lara shifted her gaze from Arohi and pretended to pick some invisible lint from her shorts.  "Lara!" Arohi snapped.  "Okay, I just thought it would be much more romantic if Arjun surprised you."  "I didn't think you'd freak out and think he was an ax murderer!" Lara replied giving an exasperated sigh.  "You would have thought the same thing!" Arohi quickly answered.  "Ofcourse I would have." Lara replied, giving Arohi an appeasing smile.   "Anyways finish up and then I think the plans are to hang out at the lake all day."  Lara said quickly changing the subject.  The two girls chatted for a few more minutes and then Arohi left to go shower and change, and hopefully find Arjun.  Just as she walked into the cabin Arjun was walking out of the bathroom.  His hair still wet from his shower.  With nothing but a pair of shorts on, leaving that wide muscular chest bare for Arohi to drool over.  "I'm getting worse then a guy!" she muttered to herself forcing herself to look away.  "What did you say?" Arjun asked.  "Nothing." she replied quickly starting to move past him but stopping suddenly as he grabbed her wrist.  Her gaze met his and she swallowed slowly.  "Are you okay?"  he asked.  "Okay?" she squeaked and then quickly cleared her throat.  "Ofcourse."  she replied.  "Was this morning too much for you?" he asked, his brows furrowed.  "I shouldn't have pushed you so hard." he added.  Arohi's eyes widened and then a a soft smile lifted to her lips.  "This morning was perfect because I got to spend it with you."  "You know Arjun that I would go anywhere with you, I might complain and whine but my place is always by your side, just like yours is by mine."  she replied softly.  Arjun's eyes seemed to search hers for a moment and then he let go of her wrist and turned around,  Clearing his throat he said "You get ready."  "I'll wait."  Arohi nodded and grabbing her things she headed to the bathroom looking back one last time she saw Arjun staring after her.  His brows still furrowed as if he was in conflict with someone, which he was...he was in conflict with himself.

"I'll just be a few minutes Arohi said as she walked out of the bathroom.  Arjun looked up from the magazine he was skimming and he couldn't deny that tight feeling he got in his chest at the sight of her.  Wearing a pink two piece bathing suit underneath a white tank and short blue shorts had him thinking not for the first time about skipping the lake with their friends and taking Arohi somewhere more private.  Shaking is head at his wayward thoughts he took control of himself and stood up.  "Be careful at the lake, it's not the same as swimming in the pool." he said a little roughly.  Arohi's eyes snapped to his.  "I know how to swim Arjun." she said with a frown.  "I know you do, I'm just saying be careful." he replied.  "Arjun, if I were you I'd worry about myself."  "I'm a great swimmer." she replied.  Arjun scowled.  "I know how great of a swimmer you are, maybe you should change into a one piece bathing suit because I also know how good you are at losing article's of clothing while in the water."  Arohi gasped and then her face turned bright red  "That was your fault!" she hissed clearly mortified.  Arjun raised a brow and gave her a smirk.  "As I recall your bikini came off without any help from me...I think you wanted it to come off."  he said with a grin.  Arohi's mouth fell open in shock and then she saw the devilish sparkle in his eyes.  He was baiting her!  Well two could play that game.  Taking the few steps it took to reach him she gave him a sexy smile, cocking her head to one side she said "Too bad all that work was for nothing."  "A perfectly sexy bikini  wasted on someone who didn't know what to with it." she mocked, turning away only to have him grab her arm and snatch her against him. "I'm hurt Arohi," he said softly, his eyes dark and intense as he stared down at her.  "It's seems that you've forgotten I know all too well what to do with that bikini and more importantly what to do with the hot body underneath it.  His teeth niped her ear and she whimpered as his hand moved to the bottom of her tank and pushed up to bare skin.  "Maybe it's time for a reminder." he added in that sexy husky voice of his, as he leaned down and pressed his lips against her neck.  Arohi closed her eyes and leaned back against him as his mouth moved to her shoulder.  Turning around she was back in his arms in seconds, and his warm lips were against hers giving her a kiss she'd not soon forget.  Gone out the window was any thought or their friends, lakes, picnics.  All she wanted was Arjun and her and no interruptions.  But like always, this time it was not meant to be either.  "Arohi, open up I need to borrow a pair of flip flops, mine just broke." Shefali called from outside.  "What's taking you so long, everyone's already at the beach. she added.  Arohi leaned her head against Arjun's shoulder.  Taking deep breaths to get control of her breathing.  She was happy to see Arjun was having the same problem as her.   "I'll, I'll go with Shefali." Arohi replied moving to grab a pair of flip flips for Shefali and then quickly heading to the door and stepping out before temptation called her back.

The lake stretched out in front of them.  A deep shimmering blue.  Arohi's eyes wandered over to where Arjun stood with some of the guys.  A volleyball in Jai's hand as they organized a volleyball game on the grass.  Shefali and Lara sat next to her with Zara sleeping in a bassinet infront of Lara.  "Why don't you go join Arjun and the others for the volleyball game?" Lara said with a smile.  "No, I don't think so." Arohi quickly answered.  "I've never played before." she added.  "Oh Arohi, come on, I'll join you." Shefali piped in.  "It's fun and you'll catch on quickly." she added.  Arohi began to shake her head, but Shefali just grabbed her hand to pull her up.  "Have fun girls." Lara called as she picked up the book she was reading.  "No, I don't think this is a good idea." Arohi was saying as Shefali ignored her and kept pulling her along to the guys.  "Hi guys, can we play?" Shefali asked with a smile as they approached.  Arjun's gaze shifted to Arohi and she saw a small smile lift to his lips.  "Sure, do you girls know how to play?" Romit asked.  "I do, but Arohi's never played." Shefali volunteered.  "Yeah, I don't mind sitting this one out and just watching." Arohi quickly interrupted but then her gaze lifted to Arjun as he said.  "I'll help you, you'll be fine."  Arohi nodded and bit back a happy smile.  The group organized themselves with Arohi and Arjun on the same team.  Arohi had an idea of how to play but Arjun quickly explained the premise and then moved him and her into position.  "You serve first, I'll show you how." he said softly, moving in behind her and positioning her.  Arohi felt herself turning warm as his body came up behind hers and pressed close.  As his arm moved up to help her hold the ball and then to toss it,  and with the other hand he took his time to show her how to serve.  Goosebumps traveled up Arohi's arms as she felt Arjun's breath close to her ear.  "Now hold your arm like this and swing like this." he was saying.  Trying hard to pay attention she did as he asked and then let out a gasp as the ball went over the net.  "Oh my god I did it!' she said to herself.  The ball was sent back over to their side but Arjun was right there to send it back, winning their team a point.  Arjun looked back at her and gave her a wink.  "Good serve." he called making her heart skip a beat.  And so the game went and she even surprised herself by not being too bad for her first game.  It also helped that anytime her serve or return didn't make it over the net, Arjun was right there to push it over.  She'd feel his hand skim against her hips or waist as he moved past her, or when he helped her serve again she couldn't help but notice how his lips had moved to the back of her ear just softly brushing there.  Ofcourse no one noticed other then her and even she thought she was imagining things until she felt Arjun's hand move ever so slightly to her behind and then take it's time to slowly move up to her hip as he passed by her.  She stared after him and he turned and gave her another wink making her eyes widen..  He was baiting her yet again.  The game ended soon after, with everyone dispersing into smaller groups.  "Did you enjoy yourself Arohi?" Jai asked as he took a drink of his water.  From the corner of her eye she saw Arjun's smirk.  "Yeah Arohi, did you enjoy yourself?" Arjun asked.  Giving him a glare she turned to Jai and said "For the most part is was  fun."   and turning to Arjun she repeated "for the most part."  Arjun's eyes crinkled with laughter and she turned on her heal and stalked away.  He caught up with her minutes later.  "Arohi," he said as he caught her arm and she tried to shrug it away.  "Arohi, what's wrong with you?" he asked grabbing her arm again and forcing her to stop.  "Nothing is wrong, what could be wrong?" she replied in an irritated tone.  "It doesn't sound like it by the tone of your voice." he said softly.  Arohi's eyes snapped to his and then she pushed away his hand and snapped "You blow hot and cold more then any other person I know!"  "One minute you're snapping at me and the other your trying to seduce me with just the tone of you voice, and stupid me is being seduced and then the next moment you're baiting me!"  "I...you confuse me." she finally said, running out of steam.  Arjun stared at her.  His eyes intense in their gaze.  Finally as Arohi was starting to feel herself squirm, Arjun spoke.  "I confuse myself." he said softly.  Frustrated he ran his hand through his hair and moved away from Arohi.  "You asked me why I came here, why I dropped everything and came."  "I came because I can't stand the idea of you getting hurt, I can't stand the idea of being away from you if you needed me."  "I know I'm a hypocrite because on one hand I'm saying this and on the other hand, I hurt you everyday without meaning too...I hurt you with my distance."  he said softly.  Arohi stared at him, tears welling up in her eyes.  Arjun felt her hand on the back of his arm and he slowly turned around to look at her.  "Arohi, don't cry, I don't want you to cry." he said in a pained voice.  Arohi shook her head and wiped away the tears.  "I'm trying." he said looking away from her.  Arohi nodded.  "I'm glad you told me, sometimes I need to hear it." she said.  They stared at each other in silence for a few moments and then hearing their friends voices close by, they turned in silence and headed back.

Arjun's eyes settled on Arohi as she laughed at something Romit was saying.  The soft glow of the bonfire lit up her face and Arjun felt his chest tighten.  She was wearing a white knee length  cotton dress.  Simply cut and fitting her perfectly.  Her hair falling in loose careless waves around her face.  She was perfect, always had been and always would be in his eyes.  And he knew that what he felt for Arohi was something he would never feel again for another person.  She made him happy when he let her and god knew he wanted to let her.  But the thing that pained him the most was that could he make her happy.  She thought her happiness lay with him...but did it...he was after all a Singhania.  In his experience love and pain went hand in hand when it came to relationships in his family.   But he didn't want Arohi's love to have pain anywhere near it.  But did he trust himself to give her a life filled with just love and happiness or would the pain and hurt and eventually hate sneak into the relationship.  Rubbing a rough hand over his face he tried to push away the thoughts that seemed to constantly plague him.  "Hey," he heard from behind him as Arohi slid down next to him.  "Hi." he replied taking a swig of his beer.  "You looked like you were deep in thought."  "Everything okay?" she asked.  Arjun paused and then nodded.  "Everything is fine."  Seeing Arohi give a little shiver and hug her arms around herself, Arjun moved closer to Arohi and slipped an arm around her shoulder.  Arohi looked up at him and smiled and then moved herself even closer and leaned her head against his shoulder.  "I'm so glad you're here."  "You won't believe how much I missed you yesterday, I didn't have anyone to cuddle with while Shefali told her silly horror stories." Arohi said.  A smile touched Arjun's lips and without thinking he pressed a kiss to the top of her head.  "Horror stories huh?"  "Is that why you were imagining ax murderers coming after you?" he teased.  "You joke now, but if you were in my place you would have reacted the same way!" Arohi replied.  "Yeah, I too would have attacked the so called ax murderer with a book." Arjun teased.  "It was a hardcover!" Arohi replied with a scowl as she pushed away and looked up at him.  But seeing the laughter in his eyes had her pausing.  "I love you Arjun." she said simply.  The laughter left Arjun's eyes, replaced by something much for intense.  "I love you too Arohi."  he replied softly.  Neither knew who initiated the kiss, maybe they both did...but as their lips met, neither cared.  It wasn't until they heard wolf whistles coming from their friends that Arohi pulled away and buried her face in Arjun's shoulder.  Arjun took it all in stride raising his beer to his lips like nothing had happened.  Soon the marshmallows were being roasted and the stories were starting.  Arohi sat through one of Shefali's scary stories, clenching Arjun's arm out of fear.  His soft laughter close to her ear when she screamed at the end of the story had her blushing.  "I can't sit through another one." Arohi replied starting to stand up.  "Come for a walk  by the lake with me." she suddenly said tugging at his hand as she stood up.  Arjun let himself be persuaded.  Arohi's hand slipped into his and they headed in silence towards the lake.  "My first camping experience has been really good."   Arohi said breaking the silence.  Arjun raised a brow and said "that's because this is not camping."  Arohi frowned.  "Ofcourse it is."  "We're staying in cabins, and having bonfires." she replied.  "We're staying in luxury cabins with fireplaces and claw foot tubs, we have 5 star meals made for us and our bonfire is lit for us by one of the many employees in this place." Arjun said dryly.  "This is not camping in the true sense of the word." he added.  "When I was in college we'd get away sometimes and go camping on the weekends."  "Large groups of us out in the open, sleeping in tents." "Open fires, Bbq's," he began.  "Alcohol.." Arohi supplied dryly.  Arjun smiled as he remembered back.  "Yeah and a lot of it."  he replied.  "Were these large groups of people male or female?" Arohi asked trying to be nonchalant.  "Both." Arjun replied as he stopped in front of a log and sat down, tugging her down with him.  Arohi paused for a few moments and then asked.  "So were there any special girls that came out to these camping trips?"  "Special?" Arjun asked, furrowing his brows.  Arohi frowned.  "Yes, special to you girls!" she said abruptly.  A grin slid to his lips as he answered.  "Aah special to me...hmm let me think."  Arohi's eyes widened and she waited for him to answer.  Ofcourse she knew there had been lots of girls in his life and that he was way more experienced then her.  But why this might bother her now especially after dealing with Tania and Niki, she didn't know.  All she knew was that it did.  "There were a few." she heard him say.  "A few." Arohi snapped before she could help herself.   "Yeah a few." Arjun replied, a look in his eyes as if he was remembering a fond memory.  Arohi had an irresistible urge to wipe that memory from his mind.  Suddenly standing up she said "I'm tired I'm going back!"  She'd barely taken a step when she was hauled back, and into Arjun's lap.  "What are you doing Arjun?"  "Let me go." she said pushing at his chest.  But he wasn't budging.  He had his arms wrapped securely around her.  "Let go!" she repeated looking up at him and stopping as she saw all humor had been wiped from his face and he was looking at her with a serious expression.  "Why are you angry?" he asked.  "I'm not angry!" Arohi snapped back.  "Good, cause it's not you but me that should be angry!' he snapped back.  Arohi's mouth fell open.  "Oh really, was it me that was telling you about all the special guys in my life that I went camping with?" she asked.  "No, you were purposely trying to set me up when you know perfectly well that you and only you have been the only "special" girl in my life."  Arohi frowned.  "What about your Tanias and all the other ones before her?" she asked, suddenly feeling vulnerable.  Arjun stared down at her and then very softly said "I barely remember anyone else since I met you."  "You're the only one that mattered."  From the look on his face she knew he was telling the truth.  Actually what was she saying, even without him saying any of this, she knew that he had only ever loved her.  Why she needed him to tell her she didn't know, but lately she'd been feeling vulnerable where he was concerned.  "Don't ask me stupid questions like that again, especially when you already know the answer" Arjun suddenly snapped and the next moment he was kissing her.  A demanding hard kiss that was turning hotter by the second.  Arohi's arms linked behind his neck as she kissed him back with longing.  His hands moving to the top three buttons of her dress and she found herself arching towards him.  Kissing along the hollow of her neck he groaned as her dress parted at the top.  His eyes devoured her and his lips returned to hers for another kiss.  This time much slower, but no less intense.  His hands moved over her and Arohi whimpered at his touch.  They didn't know how long they kissed and touched each other, neither one wanting to break away from the other to suggest going back to their cabin.  Content in just enjoying these moments.  When they finally did pull away, Arjun buttoned up a trembling Arohi's dress, Arjun's own hands shaking as if he couldn't trust himself not to lay her down on the grass and make love to her right then.  There would be time for that, time when they got back to their cabin.  He'd have all night to show Arohi how much he wanted her.

The two stood up together.  Arjun steadied Arohi as she faltered.  "You okay?' he asked, his voice husky  Arohi nodded and slipped her hand into Arjuns as they headed to their cabin.  But as they approached their group of friends and the campfire they heard music.  "

(Movie: Aisha)

Their friends were singing and dancing and Arohi and Arjun found themselves being pulled in by the laughter and fun.  Arjun watched as Arohi danced carefree with Lara and Shefali.  Their arms hooked with each other and their voices completely off key.  She looked adorable.  Arohi caught his eye and smiled, giving him a wink as she held out her hand for him to come join her.  Arjun rose and before he could even think about stopping himself he was taking her outstretched hand.  The night ran away from them as they all danced, drank and laughed.  Both Arohi and Arjun were very aware of each other's bodies being so close to each other, touching, teasing or sometimes just ever so slightly brushing against each other.  Arjun's hooded gaze moving over Arohi as she lost herself in the music.  By the time the group called it a night, it was late into the night and Arjun found himself carrying an exhausted Arohi back to their cabin.  "I could fall asleep standing up." she said, against his neck.  Arjun had never been more awake or aware in his life.  Spending the last few hours torturing himself by being so close to her but not making love to her, had left him almost jittery.  As he switched on the light to the cabin he said softly "Arohi, we're here."  Arohi lifted her half closed eyes and looked up at him.  And slowly her eyes widened as she saw red hot desire in his.  And just like that she was no longer tired.  "I should wash up." she said softly.  Arjun who had still not put her down slowly lowered her feet to the ground.  Arohi's gaze moved over him and she felt her mouth go dry.  He'd always had the ability to make her forget everything, even sleep.  She licked her suddenly dry lips and took a step back.  And like a lion stalking his prey he moved forward.  She took another step and he followed.  "I thought you were tired." she heard him say.  "I, I am." she replied finding herself with her back pressed against the bathroom door and Arjun in front of her.  "You don't look tired anymore." Arjun said.  Arohi didn't reply.  "What do you want Arohi?" he asked softly, standing in front of her but not touching her.  "I, I want you." she whispered.  "I can't hear you Arohi." Arjun replied with a grin.  Arohi swallowed and then clearing her throat she said "I...nothing."  Arjun's eyes widened ever so slightly and he heard her gasp as he pulled her against him.  "I liked your first answer better!" he growled against her neck.  A smile touched Arohi's lips before she lost herself to all the sensations that only Arjun's touch brought.  He undressed her against the bathroom door all the while kissing her until she felt like she would melt into a puddle on the ground.  Somehow they made it to the bed where they explored and kissed each other like it was their first time together.  Except it wasn't their first time and Arjun knew how to touch Arohi to make her crazy and Arohi knew exactly what would take Arjun over the edge.  Their love making lasted into the wee hours of the morning with them eventually ending up in the shower and making love against the tiled wall.  Every bone in Arohi's body felt like jello when they finally fell into bed.   Arohi falling asleep within moments in Arjun's arms.  To Arohi this was the beginning of the rest of their lives was the last thought that ran through her head as she fell asleep.  But sleep didn't come so easily to Arjun who held on to Arohi as if she was a life line.  For the first time in his life Arjun Singhania was afraid to take what he wanted.  Not just plain afraid, it was a fear that gripped his chest and squeezed so hard that he couldn't breathe.  He was finally able to admit what he'd been trying to deny to himself all this time.  Even when he'd told Arohi he'd loved her he'd held a part of himself back.  He'd never given her all of himself because somewhere in the back of his mind he was waiting for the other ball to drop.  He was waiting for the end of the "happily ever after" and he knew it wasn't her he didn't trust, it was himself.   But now the question was could he trust himself, could he let down his defenses and let her in fully.  He knew Arohi and now more then ever.  She would never be happy with just a part  of him,  she would want all, or nothing.  But did he have it in him to finally give her what she wanted and deserved.  That he didn't know.
