As he continued to kiss her until she could barely stand his hands came up to her hips, lifting her until her legs wrapped around his waist and after that there was no turning back.   Moving her towards the sofa he kissed her over and over again.  Each kiss more intoxicating then the other, his mouth driving her crazy, second by second.  Slowly he lowered her her onto the chaise and his mouth moved to her neck, kissing and nipping until Arohi was arching against him, wanting more.  "Arjun." she whimpered as his teeth came down on the tender flesh of her shoulder.  His lips came back onto hers, and this time it was him groaning as Arohi's hands drifted up and under his shirt and touched his bare skin.  "God Arohi I want you so bad." he said hoarsely as his lips and mouth moved over her body.  Her hands moved to his hair as his kisses increased in intensity.  Arohi was on fire, was it possible to feel so much pleasure, so much  desire.  Her whole body ached for him, as she felt Arjun's hands pulling down her jeans.  "Let's go upstairs." he said in a husky voice as he kissed her neck.  Not waiting for an answer he pulled away from her and stood up, his eyes heavy with passion.  Holding a hand out to Arohi he waited for her to take it.  Arohi still tingling from all the sensations Arjun had arisen in her,  held out her hand and gasped as he caught it and pulled her against him.  Catching her mouth for another toe curling kiss.  Pulling away he looked down at her beautiful face.  Arohi met his gaze and smiled softly.

"It's that bloody look in your eyes Arohi!"  "That look asking me, no begging me to give you something that I can't." "That look that wants me to feel something that I will never be able to feel...something I'm not capable of feeling Arohi."

And just like that Arjun's words from the last time they almost made love came back to slap her in the face.  Arjun saw Arohi withdrawing, he heard her sudden intake of breath, as if she was just realizing what she was doing.  Her wide eyes moving to where he clasped her hand against his chest.  Quickly she pulled away, looking with surprise at her hand and then at her state of undress, and then finally at him.  "Oh my god." she whispered, quickly grabbing her jeans from where they lay on the ground and tugging them on.  "Arohi.." Arjun began taking a step towards her.  "No, no please don't."  "I won't be able to take it Arjun." she whispered looking around for her shirt.  "Arohi, listen to me." Arjun snapped, grabbing her arm and forcing her to stay still.  "You and I both want this, why deny ourselves?' he asked.  Arohi stared up at him astonishment, like she was seeing him for the very first time.  And in a way she was, it was finally sinking in that for Arjun this would always be lust.  Nothing more, and nothing less.  "You're wrong Arjun, I don't want this." she said quietly tugging her arm from his grasp but Arjun held tight.  "The hell you don't!" he snapped.  "You want this just as much as I want it." he added.  "What's THIS exactly Arjun?" she asked.  "This...you know what this is?'  "You want to make love with me as much as I want to make love with you." he replied.  "Then you're right, I do want to make love with you."  "But we're not making love, we're having sex."  "And I don't want to have sex with you Arjun." she said simply, finally freeing her arm.  Arjun stared at her in anger.  "What's the bloody difference?" he asked.  Arohi felt tears fill her eyes.  "No difference to you, but to me it's a life altering difference." she replied.  Arjun raked a frustrated hand through his hair.  "Again you're making things more complicated then they have to be."  he said gruffly.  Arohi shook her head.  "No, it's not complicated, not any more it isn't."  "I finally, finally understand that you and I are never going to be together because we will never understand where the other is coming from."  "You will always resent me for wanting you to love me and I will always resent you for not loving me."   "We can never be happy and starting a physical relationship with you will... in the end break me Arjun." "I know myself, I know that I wouldn't be able to leave if I made love with you."  "The most intimate feeling shared between a husband and wife would only make me fall deeper in love with you and we both know no good can come from that." she said tearfully.  Arjun watched helplessly as her tears ran down her face.  And then he turned to the one emotion that he did understand...anger.  "Fine, we don't have to have sex."  "It doesn't matter to me!"  "But everything you've made so complicated is actually very simple."  "You're a grown woman and it's about time you understand that it's not always all or nothing."  "And that we can't always have what we want."  he said gruffly.  The lump in Arohi's throat threatened to choke her as she whispered "Well I'm learning Arjun, you've been a very good teacher."  "Don't bloody well turn this around on me!" he barked.  "I haven't changed, I'm still the same person you married...it's you that changed."  "You know what to expect from me, you know what I can give and can't." he said angrily.  "Then it's time I find someone who can give me what I do want!" Arohi snapped back in sudden anger.  "I deserve to be happy and I know now it can't be with you."  she said evenly.  "Oh, so you're already planning for your next relationship?!   "Arjun replied furiously.  His eyes flashing with  barely contained rage, rage brought on by the mere thought of Arohi with another man.   "Yes!"  "Yes I am, I'm planning a life away from you, away from your insane notions of what a marriage should be based on."  "You're scared to love..." she continued but was brutally cut off by Arjun, who grasped her arm and pulled her to him.  Giving her a dangerous look he said too quietly.  "I'm not scared of anything Arohi, remember that."  Arohi stared at him with flashing eyes.  "Oh yes I forgot your god."  'How can you be scared of anything." she snapped sarcastically.  Glaring at each other, he finally let her go.  "You don't know what you're talking about." he said softly.  "Go to hell!" was her abrupt answer as she quickly rushed past him and ran up the stairs, not even daring to stop when she heard him yell her name.

"This is bulls*it!" Arjun snapped as he paced the living room after Arohi had left.  He had no idea what to do about this situation.  He needed to get out of here.   Their friends had believed that him and Arohi alone, together would bring them closer, when in fact it was driving them further and further apart.  He, who was always in control had zero control in this situation.  He was hurting her over and over again and he was powerless to stop it.  "Tell her you do care." said a small voice in the back of his head.  "And what the hell would that prove?!" he snapped.  And she would have to be blind if she didn't see that he did care!  He bloody well cared too much, that's why she could effect him so easily.  That's why her every tear, tore him apart.  But she didn't want him to care about her, she wanted love and nothing but love.  And he could give her anything else she desired, anything she wanted could be hers, anything... but love...he couldn't give her that.   But the worst part was Arjun couldn't let any other man love her either.  Sitting down heavily onto the chaise they had just vacated, he called himself a bast**d.  He was one, because even though he couldn't give her what she wanted he couldn't let her go either.  It had been there right infront of him all along.  She was his...and what belonged to Arjun Singhania, he never let go of.  She wasn't going to like his decision but that was just too bad, she would just need to learn to live with it.

The next morning Arohi came downstairs and walked quietly into the kitchen where Arjun sat eating a bowl of cereal.  As he looked up, she quickly looked away.  Walking to the fridge she pulled out a yogurt and some fruit and headed back out of the kitchen.  "Wait a minute." Arjun said softly.  Arohi paused and then asked "Arjun, is there really anything left for us to say to each other?"   Standing up Arjun took the few steps it took to reach her.  "I've made a decision and it's important that you hear it." he said gruffly, walking past her and into the living room.  Arohi frowned and followed him out, watching as he took a seat on the sofa.  His eyes were intense and his jaw set.  "What is it Arjun?" Arohi said in an irritated voice. "I have other things to take care of." she added.   "Well, they're just going to have to wait." Arjun replied, staring at her.  Arohi felt herself wanting to squirm under his intense gaze.  "Fine, just spit it out?'  "What is it?" she asked taking a seat on the chaise.  A safe distance from him.  "I've made a decision about our marriage." he said folding his arms across his chest and looking at her.  "What kind of decision?" she asked with a frown.  "It seems to me that as of late you've been making all the decisions when it comes to what's right and wrong for this marriage."  "I'm not acting the way you want so the marriage is over."  "Well it doesn't work that way!"  "In 3 days when we finally get out of this place, you are coming home where you belong and you're staying there!" he ordered.  Arohi's mouth fell open.  "Excuse me?" she asked.  "And who are you to make this decision?' she asked.  "Your husband." he said with finality.  Arohi narrowed her eyes at him in anger.  "I always knew you were arrogant and selfish, but a caveman too."  "I didn't know that about you."  "I'm my own person and this marriage you speak of, it doesn't exist."  "We are not husband and wife in the true sense."  "In fact since we didn't even consummate this marriage, I'm sure I could even get this marriage annulled." she added.  Arjun stood up slowly, a ruthless smile on his lips.  Grabbing a chair he placed it infront of her, as she started to rise, he pushed her back down gently.  "Not finished yet Arohi." he said softly as he sat down on the chair.  Facing her, he grabbed her hands in his, holding them tightly as she struggled.  "Do you really think that if I wanted to seduce you I couldn't?" he asked in a deceptively calm voice.  Arohi swallowed and continued to stare at him.  "Do you really think that if I wanted to make love to you right now I couldn't?" he asked.  "If you forced me you could?" she replied, in an unsteady voice.  Arjun raised a brow and slowly his hand lifted and his knuckles caressed the side of Arohi's face.  Arohi's pulse leaped as she tried not to react to his touch.  She hated him for this power he had over her.  "Sweetheart, if I want I could make you want me so badly that you'd beg me to make love to you." he said in that same deceptively calm voice.  Arohi pushed his hand away.  "So this little fantasy of an annulment, you can get it out of your head right now, because I'll never let it get to that."  "You're my wife, and you're going to live in our house and eventually you're going to share my bed." he replied.  "Things have become way too complicated and I'm going to simplify them for us." he added.  Arohi's open mouth just wouldn't close.  She was in shock over everything he'd just said.  "Do you really think you can force me to stay in this marriage?" she asked.  "This is the 21st century and as you stated last night I'm a grown woman so you can't make me do anything I don't want." she snapped.  Arjun smiled coldly.  "For too long now you've been calling the shots and now it's my turn."   "You go to Chandigarh and I'll bring you right back."   "And every time you defy me I'm going to lock you up in our bedroom and we're going to stay in there together just the two of us."  "And what do you think we'll be doing in there?" he asked.   Arohi's eyes widened.  "Why are you being like this?"  "You don't love me, why not just let me go." she asked.  "Because you're mine, it's as simple as that." he replied.  "Simple?"  "Nothing about this is simple!" she snapped.  "I'm not yours."  "You're the one that told me I deserve better."  "You're the one that told me that I could leave at anytime!!!"  "Remember that?" she asked angrily.  "I changed my mind." he said with shrug.  "I'm not a shirt that you changed your mind about wearing?"  "I'm a human being that feels pain and hurt."  "I have feelings...I have feelings for you that you can't return so why not let me go."  she asked.  "So that you could find someone else that can share those feelings with you?" he barked.  Arohi stared at him.  "I've made up my mind Arohi."  "I don't want to hurt you and believe me once you give up this notion about some passionate love story you'll realize how good we really are together." he said.  Arohi gawked at him.  "Why should I give it up?"  "Why shouldn't I have a passionate love story?"  "If not with you then with someone else..." she began but was cut off by the intense anger in Arjun's eyes.  "No one else Arohi!"  "You want passion, I'll give you passion."  "You won't be able to handle all the passion I can give you." he snapped.  "Not everything is about making love." she stammered.  "You'll learn that, that's what it usually comes back to." he said cupping the back of her neck and bringing his lips down onto hers for a demanding kiss.  Arohi struggled but her struggles quickly stopped as he deepened the kiss.  Arohi melted against him.  When he finally pulled away he had a cocky grin across his lips.  "We're going to be fine." he said.  Arohi angrily pushed at his chest.  "You're a jerk and I don't know what made me ever fall in love with you!"  "I will not stay with you."  "No matter what, I will not live with you." she said angrily.  "We'll see about that." Arjun replied, a challenge in his eyes.  "No, we won't see about anything."  "I'm your wife, not your possession."  "So please stop treating me as one.' she yelled.  Arjun smiled.  "Exactly...you're MY wife."  "And I'll treat you as such." "Number one, you're moving into my room tonight."  "We don't need to have sex, make love...whatever you want to call it."  "But as you just stated, you're my wife and I want you in my bed."  Arohi wanted to wrap her hands around his neck and squeeze!  She didn't know what had gotten into him.  All this talk about her being his!  "You would really keep someone against their will?" she asked.  "It won't be against your will." he replied.  "Your life is in Mumbai now."  "Your job, your friends, your home."  "Your dad would be devastated to hear you want an annulment." Arjun added.  "My dad would be devastated that I'm in a loveless marriage." she said furiously.  Arjun frowned.  Theres that bloody word again.  God how much he hated the word LOVE!  "Tell me what is so wrong about your life?"  "Have I treated you badly?"  "Is there anything you've wanted or desired and have not gotten?"  "Do you not have everything a woman really desires."   "Not a husband who lo..."  she began.  "DON"T SAY IT!" Arjun grated out!

"LOVES ME!" Arohi snapped loudly, ignoring him.   "Well I'm sure with time you'll realize that love isn't all that it's cracked up to be." he replied standing up and turning away from her.   "I'm already learning that." she replied.  "Congratulations, your cynicism is rubbing off on me too." she bit out.  "I'm not cynical, I'm practical." he answered.  "And I don't want to be either!" she replied.  "Fine, don't be."  "You can be anything you like, just as long as it's as Arohi Singhania."  "You have no other option." he replied as he moved towards the stairs.  "I'm moving your things into my room now." he added.  "I'm not sleeping with you!" she called furiously.  "Yes you are." Arjun replied as he continued to walk up the stairs and into her bedroom.  Arohi felt like stomping her feet.  Of all the egotistical, chauvinistic, arrogant things to do and say.  It was like he was a new person.  Actually this was him,  when he wanted something he always seemed to get it.  And suddenly, he had it in his head, that he wanted her!  Just ridiculous!  All because she had mentioned that she would remarry and fall in love with someone else.  Who reacts this way?" she wondered out loud, and the answer came to her in the next breath.  "Someone who cares about his wife."  "Someone who feels something for her."  She hadn't missed Arjun's granite hard face, when she'd mentioned marrying again.   She had said it in anger,  when in reality she could never even conceive of being with anyone other then him.  But, he had been jealous and extremely possessive.  Why would he feel this way if he didn't have some feelings for her?  Arohi sat back down and replayed in her head her conversation with Arjun.  He wanted her, that was a given, but like he'd said, if he really wanted her could have her.  There had actually been numerous times when he almost did have her.  Most times she was so seduced by him that he could get her to do whatever he wanted.  Then if it was just that, why didn't he just do it and get it over with here while they were alone in the cottage.  If it was just physical he wouldn't be so adamant about her coming back home.   Hmm...so it wasn't just physical.  There was more to it.  And then her mind drifted to the umpteen times Arjun had done caring things just for her.  Things he didn't like to be recognized for.  And each time Arohi had fallen deeper and deeper in love with him.   So maybe he was falling for her too...but was in denial?" she whispered as a light bulb went off in her head.  It made sense, his reaction to her leaving, his possessiveness, his over protectiveness.  All signs pointed to it and considering his upbringing, she knew how much he hated even the word love.  The most she thought about it, the more convinced she became.  even if he didn't love her yet, he did care deeply for her.  Now what could she do to make him realize that.  If he cared about her as much as she thought he did, then she could teach him to love.  She could help him get over his past so that they could have a future.  The problem was how was she going to achieve something as daunting as that.

Arjun wore a self satisfied expression on his face as he looked over at Arohi, who was lounging on the chaise reading a book.  She took his laying down the law much better then he had expected.  Actually other then the initial argument he hadn't heard a single peep out of her about what he'd decided about their marriage.  He was finally in control of the situation.  He should have done this weeks ago, he thought to himself.  Sure the way he caught her looking at him sometimes scared the sh*t out of him but he could live with that.  The knots in his stomach thinking that Arohi could actually leave him and start a life with someone else.  Now that he couldn't live with.  Fine he'd said he didn't care, but damnit he did care.  He was selfish, he admitted it.  But now that Arohi was a part of his world he couldn't let her go.  He might not be able to give her what she wanted but he'd make sure that she got anything else she wanted or desired.  "I'm hungry." he heard Arohi say a few minutes later.  "Are you hungry yet?" she asked.  "I could eat." he answered cautiously.  Arohi stood up.  "Let's see what our friends left us." she said, as she walked towards the kitchen.  Arjun frowned.  She was being a little to civil.  Actually more then civil.  He was expecting name calling and flying objects, not "are you hungry?"  "Maybe she's going to poison my food." he thought with a roll of his eyes.   Getting up he followed her into the kitchen and found her preparing sandwiches.  "Do you want ham or roast chicken on yours?" she asked, looking up at him.  "Roast chicken." he replied eying her suspiciously.  Arohi smiled.  "What's wrong with you?" he asked, after a few moments of observing her.  "Nothing, what could be wrong?" she said with another smile.  Arjun's eyes narrowed.  "What could be...hmm...what could be wrong?" he began in surprise  She was definitely scheming, thinking of ways to change his mind.  Taking a few steps, he grabbed her and pulled her around to face him.  His mouth on hers again, stealing a long breathless kiss.  Arohi pulled back looking a little dazed.  "Whoa, what was that for?' she asked with a smile.  Arjun frowned.  "Just a reminder." he said slowly.  "A reminder of what we'll be doing if you even think about scheming your way around my decision."  he added.  Arohi just smiled as she went back to working on the sandwiches.  That control that Arjun had been congratulating himself about getting back...his famous control...for some reason, he could feel it slipping out of his fingers again, and he didn't even know why.  "I'm going for a run!" he suddenly growled.  Arohi looked up.   "Aren't you going to eat?" she asked, but he'd already stalked out of the kitchen.

An hour and half later Arjun returned to find Arohi lounging on her stomach, her legs waving back and forth on his...no their bed.  Arjun stopped as she looked up at him and gave him a sexy smile.  "How was your run?" she asked softly.  Arjun stared at her.  Her voice seemed different...lower, huskier, sexy.  "Good." he replied, as he pulled off his sweatshirt.  Arohi's gaze drifted over his toned abs.  "I'm going to take a shower." he said stating the obvious as he watched Arohi sit up on the edge of the bed.  Her leg crossed over the other as her gaze wandered up to his again taking a slow tour of his body first.  His response was instant and now he knew for sure she was bloody well up to something.  Stalking past her into the bathroom he shut the door with a bang.   Arohi smiled.  She was getting to him.  This wasn't how he had expected her to react.  Giggling she laid down on her bed remembering the bewildered look on his face.  He thought he'd deal with their marriage the same way he dealt with a potential business venture.  With his mind, not with his heart.  He wanted it, he made it his.  It was easy as that...expect Arohi wasn't a business venture and in this marriage Arjun wasn't the boss.  She knew he cared about her, maybe even loved her.  Now it was up to her to make him admit that he did have real feelings for her.  That she wasn't a possession but his wife, his equal.  He wanted her in his life..he didn't need to order or force of blackmail her to do it.  All he really needed to do was just ask.  The day she helped him realize that would be the day everything changed in their relationship.  As she continued to lay on the bed, she thanked their meddling friends  for gifting Arjun and her these 4 days together.  Now she had barely 3 days left to help him fix things and make them right between them.   Smiling she thought to herself, if Arjun thought he was laying down the law, he'd seen nothing yet.  They say all was fair in love and war.  Unfortunately  for Arjun, he had forgotten who he was dealing with.  After all, she had learned from him, if you want something go after it, and make it yours.  Well that's exactly what she would have to do.  Her tactics might be a little different from his, but she hoped the end result would be in her favor.  "If I belong to you Arjun, then surely you belong to me!" she said with a determined smile.  Glancing towards the bathroom door as she heard the shower switch off she added quietly  "Let the games begin."
