"Rise and Shine" said a overly cheery voice.  Arjun opened his eyes and groaned.  It felt like he'd just fallen asleep, why the hell was he being woken up so early!  As the heavy drapes opened and sunlight filled the room Arjun scowled.  "It's 8:00, time to get up sleepy head." said Arohi as she moved across the room.  He hadn't seen her yet but her overly happy demeanor was making him suspicious.  After last nights argument and then Arohi's declaration he had been left a little stunned.  He'd watched as Arohi had dragged a few things including her pillow into his...no correction...their room and then had proceeded to throw it and herself on to the bed and promptly go to sleep.  And unlike him, she had slept soundly all night, barely moving and he could have sworn sometimes he even saw her smiling in her sleep.  He knew all this because he'd been up most of the night, sleep completely eluding him as he played back their heated conversation.  He'd ended up watching her sleep, wanting so badly to just wrap his arms around her, bury his face in her neck and go to sleep himself.  He knew that was all it would take for him to fall into the same time of relaxed sleep as her...But he couldn't, something...well a whole lot of somethings held him back.  Things he didn't want to think about right now.  "Arjun." he heard bringing him out of his thoughts...and suddenly there she was leaning over him.  Her hair wet and hanging over one shoulder.  Little droplets falling against his face.  "Get up, don't you have to go to work today?" she asked.  His eyes drifted over her and settled on the soft smile on her lips.  "Reena will be up with your tea, you better get up and shower." she was saying.  Arjun frowned and shifted to the other side of the bed, sitting up slowly.   He opened his mouth to tell her he could take care of his own damn self.  He had been for many months but as he looked over at her again he was momentarily taken aback by the little secretive smile on her face.  She had moved over to the dresser and was leaned over drying her hair with a towel.  Dressed in a simple white and teal churidar she looked beautiful.  "Arjun?" she asked turning around with a quizzical look on her face.  It took Arjun a moment to realize he'd been gawking at her.  Looking away quickly he scowled as he moved towards the bathroom.  Shutting the door a little louder then necessary.  Minutes later she was knocking on his bathroom door.  "What?" he snapped as he pulled open the door.  A smile played on her lips as she held his towel in her hand.  "You forgot this." she teased.  Arjun frowned and grabbed it only to have Arohi pull it out of his reach.  "How about a smile?" she asked.  She got a scowl instead.  "I am no mood for your games Arohi!" he snapped reaching for the towel again, only to have Arohi hide it behind her back.  "Come on a little itsy bitsy one." she said with a giggle as he took a threatening step towards her.  "Give it to me Arohi!" he ordered.  "NO!" she said with a laugh as she took a few steps back.  "Arohi!" he said in warning, but she quickly backed up again, a teasing smile on her lips as she waved his towel infront of her.  Now later on if he was to think about this instance clearly he might have remembered that in truth he could have just grabbed a new towel.  One of the hundred that were sure to be stored in the linen closet.  But that thought didn't even enter his mind, rather it became insanely important that he get his towel back from Arohi.  That if he didn't get this very towel back into his hands, that the minor semblance of control he seemed to have left in this situation..would be gone too.  "Give it to me Arohi!' he snapped stalking towards her.  Arohi giggled as she ran to one side of the bed.  "Say please." she teased.  Not bloody likely, he thought to himself as he rounded the bed.  And so the chase began as Arohi ran and squealed and Arjun threatened right behind her.  "I haven't heard please yet." she said laughing only to have that laughter turn into a gasp as Arjun bounded on the bed and grabbed her arm.  "Arjun" she said laughing and struggling only to go tumbling on to the bed and him fall on top of her.  "Sh*t!" Arjun snapped trying unsuccessfully not to have his full weight land on her.  Arohi lay beneath him, her eyes closed and her breath coming out in little gasps.  "Are you okay?" he asked worriedly, softly touching her face.  Arohi waited and then slowly opened her eyes holding back a smile at the worry on Arjun's face.  She waited a second and then suddenly she did some sort of crazy maneuver which had her now on top of him.  Arjun stared up at her completely speechless.  What the hell had just happened here?  With her mischievous smile in place she said "Did I tell you I took some self defense courses in Chandhigarh?" "Want me to show you my left hook?" she teased leaning closer and ruffling his hair.  Arjun scowled.  "Arohi!" he warned only to have her mimic his tone and say "Arjun,"  Placing his hands on her hips to move her off he paused as he heard Arohi said softly "I forgot to give you something this morning."  "Yeah I know you did!" he growled, only to stop as he noticed the blush staining her cheeks.  And how she was biting her bottom lip.  He'd been trying to force his body not to react to her soft body pressed into his hard one.  He was trying not to remember her sweet scent that was now drifting over him, or think about her lips which she was torturing right now, how damn soft they were under his.  He needed to get into that bathroom right now and have a cold shower before he damn well combusted from lust for his own wife.  And then she surprised the hell out of him by closing the small gap between them and placing her lips on his.  Arjun lay still, partly in shock and partly to see what she would do next.  And she didn't let him down when she pressed more firmly against his lips and deepened the kiss.  Arjun groaned and the next moment he was rolling Arohi until she was on the bed and he was on top.  Kissing her senseless.  His hands moving over her body roughly, wanting to touch her, feel her under his skin.  Arohi groaned as she arched against him, kissing him back just the way she'd been wanting to for so long.

"Coffee, Arjun sir".  Arohi heard Reena say from outside the door.  "Arjun, your coffee." she whispered as he kissed her neck.  "Hmm."  Arjun replied biting her earlobe and then suddenly he was jerking away from her and standing up.  He stared back at Arohi in surprise mixed with irritation.  How had this damn well happened?!  He'd made up his mind that he was going to take it really slow with Arohi.  That he wasn't going to risk going through the same pain he'd been living with for months.  But here he was giving in to his physical need for her again.  They need to figure out what was happening with this relationship before they even went down this road and decided to complicate things even more.  Then Arjun winced, he sounded like Jai!  All this talk about relationships and feelings it was enough to make him feel ill.  "I think Reena's gone now." Arohi said from her place on the bed.  Arjun's lips thinned as he gave her one of his most menacing looks.  She gave him a sweet smile in return.  "Damn you Arohi!" he muttered as he stalked towards the bathroom slamming the door as he heard Arohi call.  "Don't forget your towel."

Arjun stared at his newspaper not reading a thing as he heard Arohi having a cheerful one sided conversation with "the dog."  "Sweetoo did you miss mommy." she was asking for the 100th time.  Arjun finally gave up the pretense of reading.  "Dog, we've had this discussion, you are not to come into the dining room when we're eating."  Arjun said to Sweetoo.  Arohi watched in shock as Sweetoo quickly got up and left the room.  His tail wagging happily.  "Why can't he stay?" she asked.  Arjun gave her a narrow eyed stare.  "Because it's unsanitary!"  "he knows where his food is and I don't want him to eat our scraps."  "That's disgusting and not good for him either."  he snapped.  Arohi almost fell off her chair.  "Was it not you who fed him pizza just 5 months ago?' she asked.  Arjun took a sip of his coffee and then said tonelessly.  "A lot was different 5 months ago."  "You definitely were." he added softly.  Arohi pretended not to hear him.  "When are you going to call him by his name."  "It's Sweetoo." she said with a smile.  Arjun made a disgusted face.  "No self respecting  male dog should have that name."  "You might as well have him wear a pink sweater and a sign that says "Beat me up." Arjun replied.  "What is wrong with Sweetoo?"  "It's sweet."  "A sweet name of my Sweetoo."  she said.  "Arjun rolled his eyes and stood up.  "If you want the dog to spend most of his latter years in counseling then continue to call him by that ridiculous name." he said.  "Oh, and "DOG" is a better name?" she asked shaking her head.  "Yeah, infact it is." Arjun replied about to walk away.  "Wait!' she said standing up.  Arjun looked at her in horror.  She better not be planning on giving him any more kisses.  He hadn't recovered from the morning kiss, another one would have him dragging her upstairs caveman style.  "I just wanted to ask if you would like to go out for dinner tonight?" she asked.  Arjun paused and then said "I can't I already have a dinner meeting."   Arohi nodded and then suddenly smiled.  "How about lunch then?" she asked quickly.  Arjun opened his mouth to say no but was surprised when "Yes" came out instead.  What the hell, one lunch wasn't going to kill him.  He might not know what was happening between them but he wasn't going to deny that he missed her a lot and when given the opportunity to be in her company he wouldn't deny himself.  "I'll come by the office." she was saying happily and then taking a few steps to him she quickly kissed his cheek and moved towards the stairs leaving Arjun staring after her.

"No Mr. Mehra that is not acceptable!" Arjun snapped pointing out the errors in a budget report the clerk had devised.  "What Lily?" Arjun snapped as his phone beeped interrupting him.  "Just wanted to let you know that Mrs. Singhania is here."  Lily said.  Arjun paused between a growl and a sudden thrill of happy that went through him.  "Send her in." Arjun said.  "I will look through the rest of this and get back to you." Arjun was saying to the poor clerk as Arohi knocked on the door.  The clerk hurried past her, his face covered with perspiration.  "Is everything okay?" Arohi asked as she shut the door behind him.  "Yes, I just can't stand incompetence." he said rounding his desk and taking a seat.  "I'm going to need a few minutes, do you mind?" he asked.  Arohi shook her head.  "No, that's fine, I can just sit and wait." she said taking a seat on a very familiar sofa.  A blush crept up her cheeks as she remembered the last time she was in this office.  It was the night she'd seduced Arjun.  "Mind out of the gutter!" she muttered to herself as she looked around the office and then her gaze settled on Arjun.  He was typing away, deep in concentration as he looked over some documents and jotted things down and then went back to his laptop.  And then the realization hit her that she'd never really watched him work before.  The way his eyebrows furrowed and when he was thinking about something the way he tapped his pen against the desk.  As he finished up what he was doing a small smile made it's way to his lips.  A self satisfying smile, a job completed smile, as he slowly closed his laptop and slowly looked up at her staring at him.  The smile he had worn  quickly disappeared.  "What?" he asked as she continued to stare at him, another quizzical look on her face.  "Nothing, I was just thinking about how comfortable you are in this setting." she replied.  Arjun frowned.  "Is that a bad thing?" he asked abruptly as he came around his desk.  Arohi paused and pondered that for a moment.  At one time if he'd asked that question she would have probably said yes.  Yes it's a bad thing because she didn't want him to spend so much time here.  She'd thought of this office, thought of his work as a threat.  But really nothing can be a threat to their relationship unless they let it.  And they were letting it.  Jai works a lot but that has never been a threat to Lara and his relationship because they had found a balance.  And that's both ways, not just Jai giving and Lara taking but vice versa too.  "Arohi?" Arjun called making Arohi realize she'd been staring silently at him for some time.  Clearing her throat she smiled.  "No Arjun, it's not a bad thing." she finally said.  "Ready to go." she added as Arjun gave her a puzzled look.  Nodding he held open the door for her only to have her pause right before she exited.  Her hand moving to his tie and tightening it slightly.  "You look very handsome today." she said softly.  "Thanks." Arjun said a little roughly.  Arohi was pleasantly surprised when 10 minutes later Arjun drove into the parking lot of her favorite Italian restaurant.  "I've been craving their spaghetti for months." she said with a smile.  Arjun didn't say anything at first as he came around and opened the door for her and handed his keys to the valet.  "I can't stay too long." he finally did say as they walked into the restaurant.  In the past that would have irritated Arohi.  They hadn't even started lunch and already he was planning the end of it.  But this time for some reason it didn't.  She didn't take his comment as a negative.  Maybe because she wasn't over analyzing everything.  They were seated and their drinks were ordered before they actually spoke, with Arohi speaking first.  "I love this weather.  It's balmy with a slight breeze."  "Makes me want to go somewhere tropical." she said.  Arjun glanced through the menu and didn't respond.  "I was thinking that maybe at the end of next month we could go somewhere  just the two of us." Arohi said making Arjun look up sharply.  "Do you really think us going somewhere together right now is a good idea?" he asked.  "Yes I do." she replied.  Arjun shut his menu and shook his head looking away from her. Putting in their orders when the server came by a few moments later Arjun paused and then finally spoke "Is this your plan, pretend that everything is fine between us."  "Pretend that the last how many months of our life didn't occur?" Arjun asked in a irritated voice.  Arohi paused and then shook her head no.  "No, I don't want to pretend those months didn't happen."  "I want to learn from them and make our relationship so strong that none of that could ever touch it again."  "I know you have reservations and at one point I did too."   "But I don't anymore, I know how much I've missed you these last few months."  "I know that I love you more then anything in the world, and I know last night when I was finally faced with the thought of actually losing you, that's when it hit me that I will never have what we can have...I will never have that kind of love with another."  "I know your question is..is love enough and no it's not always enough, it's important but trust, understanding, support that's all important too."  "So we work at it...we know what's wrong and we know what's right."  "So we work extra hard at fixing the wrongs and make sure we don't lose sight of what is right in our relationship." Arohi said.  Arjun stared at her with an almost shrewd look in his eyes.  "Right huh?"  "What's right in our marriage Arohi?" he asked.  "Well for starters we love each other very much, we might hurt each other along the way but our love for each other is still going strong."  "How I see it is we've been so unfair to this marriage and to each other by putting in some many expectations."  "We married under very odd circumstances, and surprisingly we found love."  "Intense all consuming love."  "I think we were fine until we actually admitted to that love, it went downhill from there."  "I will be the first to admit that I pictured a story book love story."  "You wouldn't be able to stay away from me, we would be constantly lost in each other's thoughts. "  "We would find any excuse to spend time together."  "But when I didn't get that I was very hurt and felt cheated almost."    "And I think for you the whole falling in love was very straightforward, You admitted your feelings, I was to accept them, which I did, and that in your mind should have been good enough."  "When you say something you mean it."  "I was to take it for what it was and trust it."  "But see I needed more then that..."  "I knew you loved me but I wanted you to want me too." Arohi said.  Arjun frowned.  "Arohi, there has never been any doubt about how much I want you." he said.  "No, that's not what I'm talking about...I know physically you wanted me." she began and then blushing added softly..."want me."  "It's hard to explain but I guess because we fell in love after marriage I experienced that feeling of  wanting to spend every second with you, counting the minutes until I see you next, the feeling of butterflies in the pit of my stomach just thinking of you."  "All those sweet beginnings that you feel early on in a relationship, I felt them and you didn't."  "I felt cheated and I felt hurt." Arohi continued.  "I don't expect you to understand it, but that's how I felt and the more time we spent apart the more hurt I was."  "Your work had consumed you and I was scared that if I didn't do something BIG, I would lose you."  Arohi said softly.

Arjun had sat back and listened to Arohi.  Some things he knew from their numerous fights but some things were new to him.  They'd never actually discussed what was wrong between them.  They blamed, and argued and pretended everything was okay and in Arohi's case when none of that worked she ran.  "Aren't you going to say anything Arjun?" she asked quietly.  Arjun paused and then finally said "What do you want me to say?"  Arohi frowned.  "Well I just poured my heart out to you, what are you feeling?" she asked.  Arjun raised a brow and shook his head.  "I didn't know this lunch was actually going to be a therapy session where we share our feelings." he muttered.  Arohi's frown deepened at Arjun's cold words.  "I told you last night I'm not letting you give up on us!"  "I'm trying to make an effort here, trying to explain to you what I felt at that time in our marriage and that it wasn't necessarily you I was running away from but maybe I was running from myself and my intense feelings for you." Arohi explained.  "Arohi I don't see anything good coming from rehashing everything over and over again."  "You don't want me to give up,  fine, I won't give up yet."  "But trust to me has always been the most important qualities in any relationship and I can see that neither one of us trusts the other." Arjun replied.  "I don't want to talk about things and I don't want to reminisce about the good old days which according to you were few." "You want to see where this goes then fine let's see this to it's completion." he added.  "Arjun, we aren't going to see anything to it's end, we're working towards a new beginning." she said quietly.  Arjun didn't bother replying and soon after their server came by with their lunches, which Arohi picked at.  "Why aren't you eating?" Arjun finally asked in an annoyed voice.  "Because I miss my Arjun!" she snapped and then feeling tears fill her eyes she quickly got up and excused herself, rushing to the bathroom to calm herself down.

"Sh*t!" Arjun muttered pushing away his plate.  It killed him to see her cry and he knew what she wanted.  She wanted him to forget and move on...but he couldn't.  As much as he wanted to he just couldn't bring himself to move on.  If he knew anything about himself it was that he didn't do anything half assed.  Be it school, sports, his work...or when he fell in love with Arohi.  When he gave her his heart, the heart that she stomped all over before she ran away from him again.  Too take that chance again, he just wasn't sure he could do it.  But then what's the alternative said the small voice inside his head.  Letting her go?  Just the thought made that very same heart clench in pain, made his breathing slow down.  "Sir, can I get you anything else?" the waiter asked.  Arjun shook his head.  "No, just the bill." he replied staring at Arohi's untouched plate.

"Are you okay?" Arjun finally asked as they pulled into his company driveway.  Arohi nodded.  She'd barely said a word after she'd finally come back to the table.  Her eyes red and a little puffy.  She'd eaten a few bites told him she was full and before he could argue she'd pushed out her chair and headed towards the exit.  Leaving an irritated Arjun behind.  "Are you going home now?" he asked, clenching the steering wheel as he waited for an answer.  She gave a small nod.  "Have cook make you something to eat!" he snapped as he threw open the drivers side door.  He stalked to Arohi's side only to have her open  the door herself and step out.  He didn't know why but that gesture made him only more angry.  Alone, she could take of herself.  She didn't need him to help her, she didn't need him to protect her...really she didn't need him.  These were the stupid thought rolling around in his head.  "I'll walk you to your car." he said briskly.  "I can walk myself, you go ahead, I know how busy you are." Arohi replied only to feel Arjun's hand wrap around her elbow and pull her against him.  "I. will.walk.you.to.your.car!" he repeated.  Arohi's own eyes flashed with anger but she didn't struggle, she waited until he loosened his grip.  "My car is over there." she muttered.  Arjun stalked towards the car and taking the keys for her hands he clicked open the locks.  As he opened the door and then pressed the keys back into her hands he felt Arohi clasp his hand more firmly.  Arjun looked from their clasped hands up into Arohi's tear filled eyes.  "So much pain, so much hurt we given each other." she whispered as her other hand came up to touch his face.  Moving closer she stood on her toes and pressed a soft kiss against his cheek.  Arjun stiffened and his face hardened but he didn't say anything, and didn't move away.  Arohi leaned her body against his.  Her head against his chest and then said quietly.  "You fought for us last time, I guess it's my turn."  "I won't give up, all I ask is you don't either."  Arjun closed his eyes briefly as her words settled over him.  "I'll try." he finally said. Arohi pulled back and looked up into his face.  The face she knew so well.  The face that had haunted her dreams when she'd been away from him.  The face of the man she loved more then life.   "I need to get back." he finally said.  Arohi nodded and watched Arjun walk away.

A few days later

Arohi paused outside Arjun's half closed door and then taking a deep breath, opened the door fully and walked in to see him standing shirtless with his back to her.  Glancing back at her he gave her a questioning look.  "Busy?" she asked, clearing her throat quickly.  Arjun closed the file he'd been reading and threw it on the bed.  "No." he replied.  "Are you going somewhere?" he asked as his eyes drifted over Arohi's blue and pink ankle length maxi dress.  He remembered the last time she'd worn something like that he'd stripped it off her inch by inch kissing every inch of soft skin until she was pleading for him to make love to her.  "I'm going out with Samir." she finally replied pulling him out of his desire filled haze.  Samir!  "Why?" he snapped before he could stop himself.  "Because he's my friend." Arohi replied.  "Yeah, a great FRIEND!' Arjun said sarcastically as he roughly pulled a t-shirt over his head.  Arohi hid a smile.  "Yes, a very good friend." she replied.  Arjun scowled and asked "So I guess you're not having dinner at home?"  Arohi paused and then shook her head no.  "Have fun." Arjun replied coldly, moving past her.  Arohi grabbed his hand as he passed her.  "You're so cute when you're jealous." she said with a soft smile  on her lips.  "I'm not jealous." Arjun replied narrowing his eyebrows.  "Really." Arohi teased tracing a fingertip on the inside of his wrist.  Arjun stiffened but didn't pull away.  "Well good, cause you don't ever need to be jealous." she said softly moving closer to him until their bodies were almost touching.  "You want to know why?" she asked.  Arjun's eyes moved over her face but he stayed stubbornly quiet.  "You don't ever need to be jealous because there is only one man that will ever make my heart race, make me smile and dream, there's only one man who is my happily ever after."  "He and I might have hurt each other with out meaning too but he's the only man that truly makes me feel alive."  "I could never look at another because another could never compare." she finished softly, still so close as she looked up into his face.  His eyes dark and intense.  His body rigid as if he was holding himself back from grabbing her to him.  After a few moments Arohi stepped back and moved to the door.  "I won't be late." she called leaving Arjun staring back at her, battling the urge to haul her back to him and never let her go.

Arjun woke slowly, his eyes blinking open, closing briefly and then snapping open again.  His face was pressed against the softest of skin.  The sweetest of scents lingered close to him.  His arms was thrown loosely over slim hips and as he slowly moved his hand up, it met with bare skin.  He slowly pulled away and looked into the sleeping face of his Arohi.  It had been so long since they'd woken up like this, it had been so long since he'd had the right..the haq to hold her like this.  No...it had been so long since she'd given him the right to touch her like this.  How many mornings had they missed waking up together, how many good mornings kisses had they missed?  How many mornings spent making love would there have been? he wondered all that as his eyes drifted down to where her hand sat pressed against his chest.  And then he frowned.  Not at Arohi but at himself.  Even before she'd left him the first time, how many mornings had they spent together?  He'd been so wrapped up in his work that he hadn't thought those things were of importance.  But now he knew the actual worth of those moments.  He knew what it felt to be without them.  He knew how it felt to wake up lonely wanting someone so much it made him physically hurt.  Wanting Arohi's smile and laughter to fill his suddenly dark existence.  But now that the idea of that comfort, that love returning was here...literally in his arms he found himself hesitate.  How easy would it be to just pull her closer, bury his face in her neck and lose himself in her.  How easy would it be to forgive himself, and forgive her.  But as his hand softly moved down her arm and Arohi's eyes slowly fluttered open to look up at him he knew that he couldn't.  Not now...maybe not ever.  She may be the love of his life but he couldn't give her back the kind of control and power she'd had over him before.  It was too big of a risk and even though he took risks in the corporate world all the time...he couldn't do the same with his heart.  "Good morning." Arohi said softly her eyes searching his.  "Good morning." he replied softly, pulling away abruptly.  Arohi stared after him as he got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. She hadn't missed the determination and distance in his eyes.   She wouldn't let him distance himself from her.  She wouldn't let him go back to the way he was and there was no way she was going to be his wife in name only.  He was hers...he'd told her that once and she didn't care what happened but she would make him believe that again!

"Maria." Arjun called as he sat down for breakfast.  His breakfast was usually piping hot and waiting, but today there was nothing...not even a cup of coffee.  "Breakfast is ready." Arohi said with flourish as she rushed out into the dining room.  Maria and Reena in tow, laden with plates of food.  Arjun frowned as Arohi placed a paratha in front of him.  "What's this?" he asked looking up at Maria.  "I thought today we would have something different." Arohi answered instead.  "I know how much you love aloo parathas, and I know you've never had mine." she said placing some raita next to him.  Arjun's lips thinned.  "We have someone to cook our meals, it's not necessary for you to waste your time cooking for me." he said.  "Oh but that's where you're wrong." Arohi replied giving Reena and Maria both reassuring looks as they left the room.  "I'm your wife and I like doing things for you."  "Even if it's just making one of your favorite foods." she added.  Arjun scowled and thought about refusing the breakfast.  But he couldn't...the happy smile on her face as she watched him anxiously...he couldn't wipe off that smile so he ate silently.  Enjoying his breakfast immensely and listened to Arohi's chatter.  "Mom called last night."  "Her and dad are planning a visit." had his eyes snapping to hers.  "You told them now is not a good time right?" he quickly asked.  "No, ofcourse not."  "I told them to come as soon as they can and that we miss them." she replied taking a bite of her breakfast.  Arjun swore as he threw down his napkin.  "That's just bloody great!" he snapped.  "Why didn't you invite nani over as well." he added sarcastically.  Arohi smiled pretending not to have heard the sarcasm.  "I did." she replied.  "You did what?" Arjun asked.  "I told mom to bring Nani too, it'll be a nice vacation for her." Arohi replied folding her hands infront of her and counting mentally to 3.  "WHAT THE HELL!" Arjun roared.  "Who did you ask before you sent out these invites?" he half yelled.  "Ask?" she said with a laugh and a shake of her head.  "I'm your wife Arjun."  "You might be trying to forget that but I haven't."  she answered.  "I haven't forgotten your my wife!"  "God knows you remind me every moment of every day."  "Funny thing is you're only my wife in the fashion that it suits you." he snapped.  Arohi turned to him slowly and fighting the blush that crept up her cheeks she said.  "I can be your wife in every way...I..I want to be your wife in every way." she added softly looking down at her food.  A few seconds later she heard Arjun's chair scraping back.  She looked up to see him stalking away from her.  His back rigid with anger.   Not being able to help herself Arohi laid her head down on to the table and let herself have a good cry.

"Arohi if you want I can arrange to have you two stranded at the cottage again."  "It worked last time." Lara said as she rocked Zara in her arms.  Arohi smiled and shook her head.  "No unfortunately I think this time Arjun would probably walk back home if it meant getting away from me." she replied.  "I don't know why he's being such an akroo!" Lara snapped.  "It's not like he's the only one that was hurt, you were hurt too, he did things wrong too." Lara said.  "I know and I think part of his pain stems from the hurt he caused me."  "I know he's fighting us because not only doesn't he want to get hurt again but he doesn't want to hurt me again."   "And then there's the part about him being left vulnerable.  Arjun does not do vulnerable."  "Why do you think it took him such a long time to tell me he loved me."  "But once he did, he did give me all of himself."  "He pushed away any doubts he had and fell into love with me whole heartedly but then I left and he remembered the reason he'd kept himself away from such "fickle emotions" in the first place."  "Even now he admits he is still in love with me but will he ever be able to open himself up to me the way he had, will he ever be able to trust me...that he doesn't know." Arohi continued.  "And for me there is no other option, I need all of him back..I need my old Arjun back."  "I know he's not far, I just need to find him again." Arohi said sadly.  Lara laid down a sleeping Zara in her bassinet and put a comforting arm around Arohi.  "You will, you two have been through too much to separate now."  "And you have me to help you." Lara added with a mischievous smile.  "Far off cottages aren't the only places you two can get locked up in." she added with a big smile.  The wheels already spinning in Lara's head as Arohi quickly shook her head.  "Lara..." she began in warning only to have Lara shush her.  "What is that saying...jab ghee seehdhi ongli sey nehee nikaltha tho ongli teree karnee parthee hey."  Arohi's eyes widened as she stared at the determined look in Lara's eyes.
