Less then 24 hours later Arjun's dopey smile had become a permanent scowl.  "Arohi, how many times do I have to tell you the pain is in my ankle!"  "Drinking some concoction that Nani has derieved isn't going to help my ankle!" Arjun snapped, gritting his teeth.  Arohi bit her lip and looked at him worriedly.  "Arjun, please stop being so stubborn, nani said this will make the swelling go down in no time." she said soothingly.  Arjun glared at her.  First of all he was being forced to stay in his bloody bed because today the pain was even worse then yesterday and he couldn't even put weight on his foot.  Second of all,  all the women in his household were acting like he'd lost a limb instead of just hurt his ankle   All the fawning over him was getting ridiculous!  Arohi being the worst!  And to top it off, his pain was 10 fold today because he hadn't taken the pain killers.  They made him woozy and sleepy, he couldn't think straight with them in his system.  The pain killers were to be blamed for his reaction to Arohi after he saw her crying over him yesterday.  And how was he expected to get any work done if he was all drugged up!   Ofcourse there was no point in sharing any of that with Arohi.  God knows what else she would think up or do to "help" him!  "Arohi, get that thing away from me!" he snapped, pushing away the glass.  He could smell it from a mile away, there was no way he was going to drink that!  "Arjun, please stop being a baby and just drink it."  "Your ankle seems even worse then yesterday." she said with tears in her eyes.  Arjun closed his eyes and prayed for strength!  "For the love of god Arohi, please don't start crying again." he said, shaking his head.  "Can I just get some peace and quiet for 10 minutes."  "Without you, mom, nani, Maria, Reena or that damn DOG bothering me."  "Just please..." he said wincing in pain.  "Why are you so pig headed?!" Arohi burst out, seeing his face tight with pain.  "Alright, you want me to leave, I'll leave."  "Drink Nani's concoction and I'll leave." she said stubbornly, sitting on the edge of the bed.  Arjun glared at her but he knew her enough by now to know that once she got something in her head, she didn't rest until she saw it through.  "Give it to me!" he growled.  Arohi tried to hide her smile.  "I don't understand how a drink can help my ankle, and I clearly forgot to congratulate Nani on her PHD in medicine!"  "Not sure when she got that but I apparently have missed it!" he snapped sarcastically, grabbing the glass from Arohi's hand.   Eyeing the green liquid as if it was poison he heard Arohi giggle.  "Arjun, it won't bite."  "Come on just drink it in one go." she coaxed.  Arjun furrowed his brows and then making a face, drank back the bitter liquid.  Passing the glass to her he turned his face away from her.  That was absolutely disgusting and he had no doubt in his mind that Nani had made sure it was extra bitter just for him.  "Happy now?!" he snapped.  " Now get out!" he ordered, picking up a file and burying his nose in it.    Arohi sighed.  He was so damn prickly but she knew he was in a lot of pain.  She'd ground up the pain killers she knew he wasn't taking and put them into the concoction too.  Hopefully that helped ease his discomfort.  She couldn't see him in so much pain, and god forbid he show any sign of weakness.  Staring at his set face for a few moments she finally said "If you need me just call okay."  "Fine!' he replied still staring at his file.  Half hour later she opened the door to Arjun's room to find him sound asleep.  The file forgotten and on the floor.  Walking to him, she covered him with a blanket and stared at his handsome face.  In his sleep he was so much softer, almost boyish.  Reaching out she smoothed back his hair and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead.  "I love you Arjun." she whispered, before she walked back out without a sound.

"How are you doing old man?" Jai asked the following day.  "Who are you calling old man?!" Arjun snapped.  "I'm 5 months younger then you!" he added.  Jai laughed.  "Okay fine, how are you doing young man?" "I'm fine, fit and fine."  "I'll be back in the office tomorrow morning." Arjun replied, turning to glance at Arohi as she walked into the room.  He could almost see Jai shaking his head at him.  "I'm not even going to bother trying to change your mind because that would be a waste of my breath!"  "Good! Arjun snapped.  "I'll see you tomorrow morning,  have Lily set up something with the Mehra group we need more money from them to finish up their project." Arjun added.  "Yes sir!"  "So is Arohi coming to Lon..."  Jai began.  "Bye!" Arjun snapped, hitting the end button on his phone.  It was a mantra now for Jai and Lara.  "I Arohi coming to London?"  "Is Arohi coming to London?'  For gods sakes, no means no!  "Your breakfast should be up soon." Arohi said, reaching over him and fluffing his pillow.  Arjun inhaled her sweet Arohi smell.  Her hair still slightly wet, grazed his arm.  Just like that he wanted her.  Barely a touch and he wanted her with such intensity that sometimes it even scared him.  "I'll come down for breakfast." he replied gruffly.  "I'm better." he added, as she began to say something.  Arohi looked at his ankle and it did look better.  "Okay, I'll let Maria know." she replied, walking to the closet.  "Thanks Arohi." had her stopping in her tracks.  She turned around to seeing a clearly uncomfortable Arjun.  "What did you just say?"  "Did you actually thank me?" she asked mischievously.  Arjun frowned but didn't respond.  Arohi smiled and sitting down next to him she said "You're welcome." Arjun looked at her beautiful face and the words "Would you like to come to London with me?" suddenly came tumbling out of his mouth.  His face mirrored the surprise on hers, except her surprise quickly became delight whereas his became horror.  What was he doing?  What the hell was he doing?  "You want me to come to London with you?" she squealed.  She knew from Lara that Jai and Arjun were going for a conference and that Lara was tagging along, but she didn't think that Arjun would invite her.  "Yeah, yeah I guess." Arjun replied, shifting uncomfortably.  "Yes, I would love to come!" she squealed, grabbing his hand and squeezing it in her excitement.  "Lara really wants you to come because Jai and I will be at the conference all day, so she doesn't have anyone else to hang out with." he quickly added.  He didn't miss the flash of disappointment cross her face and he hated that it made him feel guilty.  "Oh, I see." she said quietly.  Arjun could tell he had hurt her.  He was such an idiot.  "If there's something in particular you want to do while we're there let me  know and I can take you." he added.  Arohi smiled.  "Really?!"  "Okay I'm going to start researching right away!" she added, jumping up from the bed.  Arjun nodded slowly.  "I'll ofcourse have to ask the principal if I can get the time off but I don't think it should be a problem."  "How long are we going for?" she asked.  Arjun gruffly told her the details and watched her practically dance out the room.  He was left to wonder if when that 20 year old had barreled into him if he had just injured his ankle or if somehow he's sustained a head injury too!  Why else would he do something that he had been adamant about not doing?  Words were coming out of his mouth and he hadn't been able to stop them!  Standing up, he gingerly walked towards his door, and as he opened it he heard Arohi's musical laughter.  Seeing her smiling face he was struck yet again of how beautiful she really was, and how much he still wanted her.  Things hadn't worked out so far but in London there would be no interruptions.  Every night it would be just him and her.  Jai and Lara still acted liked newlyweds so he wasn't expecting them to even be around in the evenings.  No it would be just him and Arohi and the big king size bed in their suite.  Why had he not thought of this sooner?! he asked himself.  This was the answer to his biggest frustrations.  No bloody Samir showing up, no interruptions from his mom or nani.  No annoying dog.  Just him and Arohi.  A big smile spread across his face and only grew bigger as he met Arohi's gaze.  She smiled back innocently.  Having no idea what kind of x-rated thoughts were going through Arjun's head.

"Hi dad, how are you?" Arohi asked.  Good, good, just thought I'd call and see how everyone was doing." Arjun's dad said.  Arohi smiled.  "We're all doing fine."  "Arjun's at the office, Nani is taking a nap and Mom is...um you know what, I don't know where mom is..." Arohi replied, looking around her.  "Probably out shopping." he replied sarcastically.  "It's the only thing she'd good at." he added.  Arohi coughed, trying to hide her discomfort.  "What have you been up to?" she asked, trying to change the subject.  "Nothing much, just the regular."  "Playing tennis, been out to the club a few times, saw your dad yesterday."  "There's not much to do really and well the house just seems so quiet what with..um.  well with Vicky gone and now your mother's shrill voice not ringing in the air."  "It's just quiet." he finished off lamely.  Oh no he was lonely, Arohi thought sadly.  "Dad, why don't you come visit us?" she asked.  "Oh no, no, no...Arjun wouldn't like that."  "And I'd have to see your mother."  "That's never a good thing."  "NO, I'm fine here." he said quietly.  Arohi sighed.  "Are you sure, because we'd love to have you."  "And don't worry about Arjun, his bark is worse then his bite." she said, without thinking and then gasping she grew quiet. Arjun's dad's booming laughter rang on the other side.  "You've really gotten to know my son well in the past few months." he said, still laughing.  "Yes, I've been victim to that bark a few times." she said dryly.  Ajun's dad continued laughing..  "I'm pretty sure you held you own beta." he replied.  "Dad just come, I think it'll be good for you." she pushed. .  "I'll think about it." he finally replied.  "Okay I'll let you go, I'd tell you to say hi to the family but since none of them would give a damn... I'll just leave it." he replied.  Arohi sighed again as she hung up.  This was so sad, she hated that her own father was alone and here Arjun's parent's had each other yet they still behaved as if they were alone.

"Are you packed?" Shefali asked over the phone the morning Arohi and Arjun were to leave for London.  "Yes, I think so." Arohi answered distractedly as she counted the number of outfits she was taking.   "Did you pack the RED you know what?" Shefali asked with an excited giggle.  Arohi blushed.  "Yes, yes I did." she stammered.  "Anyways I gotta get going."  "I'll see you when I get back."  "Stay out of trouble!" Arohi added.  "You have a great time and I hope you get into some trouble."   "Actually lots and lots of trouble!" Shefali added mischievously.  Arohi bit back a smile as she hung up.  Reaching into her suitcase she pulled out the lacy red piece of nothing that Lara had forced her to buy.  She wasn't so naive that she didn't know what would probably happen on this trip.  Her and Arjun had almost made love a few days ago and she knew that in London there wouldn't be anyone or anything to distract or interrupt them.  She hadn't been missing the hot intense looks Arjun had been giving her and she knew he wanted her.  In London she would finally become his wife in every way.  They would be taking such a huge step in their relationship.  A thrill of anticipation ran through her.  Staring at the red slip she didn't know if she would actually have the guts to wear it.  But she was packing it nevertheless.  Oh well we'll see, she thought to herself.  Not noticing the door had opened and Arjun had walked in.  Arohi's eyes snapped to meet his and she gasped and hid the lingerie behind her back.  "What are you hiding Arohi?" Arjun asked.  "Nothing." she squeaked, feeling her face growing bright red.  What timing!  "Arohi, what is it?" Arjun asked, his curiosity piqued. taking a step towards her, he saw her quickly start to back up.  "Arjun, please, it's nothing." she begged.  "Well if it's nothing then you wouldn't mind showing it to me." he replied, stalking towards her.  Arohi backed up again but stopped as he reached for her and pulled her against him.  "Are you going to give it or you want me to take it from you?" he asked.  Arohi shook her head, mortification evident on her face.  Arjun holding her arm with one hand reached behind her and grabbed the item from her hand.  With a smile he brought it forward and stopped as he saw what it was.  His eyes widening as he looked at the tiny red lacy slip, one tie at the front keeping it closed.  His dark eyes met Arohi's and Arohi quickly looked away.  "Arjun give it back." she pleaded.  "No!" he replied as his mouth came down on hers.  The kiss was hot and soon Arohi's body was pressed completely against his, as he kissed her ravenously.  "Arohi, what are you doing to me?" he asked in a husky voice as he kissed her neck.  "How will I survive a 10 hour flight picturing you in this?" he asked, kissing her hungrily.  Arohi whimpered as she put her arms around his neck and kissed him back.  Eventually they had to pull apart, but not before Arjun pressed one more kiss against her lips.  "Tonight Arohi!"  "Tonight we won't have to stop." he promised.  Arohi nodded, trying to get her breathing back to normal.   "I'll pack this in my stuff."  "I'm not taking any chances that you might change your mind and not bring it." he added in a low voice, throwing the slip into his suitcase.   Arohi blushed and looked away.  Now there was no way she was getting out of wearing that lingerie.  Just the thought of Arjun seeing her in it made her blush even more.  "Ready Arohi?" he asked suddenly, his eyes intense.  Why did she have a feeling he wasn't just talking about leaving for London.  "Yes, Arjun, I'm ready." she replied in a steady voice.  A small smile touched his lips.  "Good," he replied.  Arohi bit her lip and pressed a hand against her stomach. She had a feeling that this trip to London was going to change her whole life.

Lara and Arohi giggled as they walked side by side to the Arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport.  Arjun and Jai behind them with the luggage.  "You're going to love London, Arohi." Lara said with a smile.  "It's so much fun and it has something for everyone." she added.  As Lara gushed about the shopping, restaurants, and night life, Arohi felt herself getting more and more excited.  "And  it's starting to look so festive too, what with Christmas just around the corner." Lara added.  Reaching the awaiting car they piled in and Lara frowned as Jai yawned.  "Don't even think about it Jai Malhotra."  "London is not for sleeping!" she snapped.  Arohi hid a giggle as Jai looked at Arjun and rolled his eyes careful to make sure Lara didn't see."  "Ofcourse sweetheart, whatever you say sweetheart." he said, smiling at her.  Lara smiled back.  "Good, because I have a list of things for us to do."  "The four of us are going to have so much fun."  Arjun who was already on his iphone didn't even bother looking up when he said.  "not us...you..you and Arohi have lots of fun."  "We're here for a purpose." he added swearing under his breath as he read a text message from one of his project managers.  Arohi shook her head.  God forbid Arjun have some fun.  Well she wasn't going to let him waste this opportunity.  Good only knew when the two of them had a chance to come to London together again.  She was going to make sure they got some fun in even if it killed her.  As they reached their hotel Arohi was a little taken back as Arjun got out of the car and was straight away on his phone talking to someone, and he didn't sound happy.   Lara seeing the surprise on Arohi's face patted her arm.  "Hey, don't worry, you know that's just the way he is."  "Business always comes first." she said.  Arohi nodded trying to hide her disappointment and followed Lara and Jai as they walked in front of her holding hands. A sharp pang of jealousy went through her and she quickly pushed it aside.  "Don't be stupid Arohi!" she muttered to herself, forcing a smile on her face and following behind.

"Everything okay?" Arohi asked as her and Arjun walked into their suite.  Arjun shook his head.  "Something just came up with one of the projects but it's being looked after." he answered gruffly, walking to his suitcase.  Arohi nodded and then asked brightly.  "So what are we going to do now?" Arjun looked at the time.  "It was 7:00 pm."  "You want to get room service?" he asked.  No, Arohi didn't want to get room service.  She wanted to go explore, not spend her time in their suite.   Walking to her, Arjun pulled her into his arms, moving a strand of her hair out of her face, he said "we could eat in, and then pick up where we left off this morning." Leaning down, he nuzzled her neck and Arohi felt her whole body respond.  Pulling away he asked "Is that okay?"  "Or would you rather go out for dinner?"  "Eating in is fine." she said shyly.  Arjun's chuckle had her blushing.   Tilting her face up to meet his eyes he kissed her sweetly.  "I'll order dinner." he said pulling away and asking her what she felt like.  "Whatever." she replied grabbing a change of clothes and walking into the bathroom.   She was suddenly so nervous.  Usually when they were intimate in any way it was a surprise, a welcome surprise, but nevertheless a surprise.  Never preplanned atleast not on her part.   God knew her seducing skills were zero on a scale of 1-10.   But today, tonight, she knew what was going to happen, and the anticipation alone was driving her crazy.  Her and Arjun were going to be one, she knew it sounded cheesy.  But it was true.  This would be a huge step in their relationship  and after this she just had a feeling that he would admit that he too had feelings for her.  Maybe he wasn't in love with her YET, but she knew he felt something for her.  Taking a long shower, she got out and applied a lilac lotion.  Slipping on a pair of jeans and a short off the shoulder lavender colored sweater she looked at herself in the mirror as she applied a touch of lipstick and eyeliner.  Combing her hair back she hoped Arjun liked what he saw.  Thanking god that he hadn't mentioned the lingerie.  She didn't think she'd be able to wear that tonight.    Pressing a hand against her stomach where the butterflies were doing somersaults she opened the door and stepped out.  Arjun looked up and his eyes drifted over her appreciatively. Walking to her he lightly caressed the side of her face with his knuckles.  "I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful woman than you Arohi." he said, his intense gaze lingering over her beautiful face.  Arohi blushed at the compliment and said softly "Arjun, you make me feel beautiful."   Arjun's eyes darkened and he forced himself to step back.  "I'm going to take a quick shower, dinner should be here soon and then we can eat." he said with a smile.  Arohi nodded and moved away as she heard the bathroom door click behind her.  True to his word he was quick and Arohi bit back a gasp as he walked out of the bathroom in just his jeans, hanging low on his hips.  His hair still wet, she could tell he had just run his hand through his hair to comb it.  She caught herself staring at his chest and quickly looked away.  Must he be so good looking without even trying she thought to herself.  Arjun smirked as he made his way to his suitcase grabbing a plain blue Abercrombie t-shirt, quickly slipping it over his head.  "Dinner's here." Arohi said, clearing her throat.  Arjun walked over and sat down next to Arohi lifting the covers off the food.  Arohi stared at the food infront of her, pushing it from one side of the plate to the other.  How was she supposed to eat?!  ?You don't like the pasta?" Arjun asked, making Arohi look up.  "No, no it's fine.' she said blushing.  Arjun stared at her.  She was so nervous, and in his opinion there was only  one way to help the nervousness...Jump right in!

Arohi gasped as she felt Arjun's hand reach out and pull her up.  She hadn't even seen when he had come up beside her.  Slowing he pulled her closer and closer until she was fully against his chest, his arms wrapped around her.  "Arohi look at me." he said in a husky voice.  Arohi looked up slowly and gulped as she saw the desire in his hooded gaze.  She couldn't look away for a few moments and then her eyes slowly moved on their own accord, to his lips.  She heard a groan and then suddenly Arjun was kissing her.  It started off soft but became hungry and all consuming so quickly that Arohi was left clinging to Arjun.  His hands on her hips, moved up to her back and now drifted up and down her spine giving her shivers.  His mouth moving to her neck and then to her bare shoulders, kissing and biting.  Arohi moaned and then whimpered as Arjun's hands slipped under her sweater.  His cold hands against her heated skin.  She pressed closer and slid her hands into his still damp hair as his lips came back to claim hers.  As he continued to kiss and devour her mouth, Arohi felt herself losing what little control she had.  Kissing him back she moved her hands to his t-shirt, tugging at it.  Arjun made quick work of tugging it off and groaned as Arohi's hands gently settled against his chest.  Tugging her sweater off he scooped her up in his arms like she weighed nothing and taking a few quick strides gently placed her on the bed following her down until he lay on top of her.  His lips everywhere.  The two were on fire as Arohi strained against Arjun, moaning as he bit her earlobe and then kissed all the way down to her shoulder and back up..  As she pressed closer and his hand moved to the zipper of her jeans, there was a loud knock on the door that neither of them heard.  Then the knocking got louder, and louder until Arohi was pushing at Arjun's chest.  "There's someone at the door." she whispered.  "Ignore it, they'll go away." he said, hoarsely kissing her again.  "Arohi, Arjun," they heard an all too familiar voice.  Arohi gasped as Arjun lifted his head and furrowing his brows he listened again.  "Arohi, Arjun, open up, let's go for dinner." Lara called.  Arjun swore loudly and looked down at Arohi's frozen face.  "Don't even think about it Arohi." he said, going back to kissing her neck.  "Arjun, please, let me up."  "This is so embarrassing, they know we're in here." she said.  "I don't give a damn!" Arjun said stubbornly.  This was just getting bloody ridiculous.  What did a man have to do around here to get some alone time with his own wife!  "Lara, let's just go,"  They could hear Jai saying.  "No, Arohi hasn't seen London, we can't go."  "What are they doing in there anyways?" Lara said.  Arohi closed her eyes in mortification, pushing Arjun until he finally climbed off her and fell back on the bed.  "Ohhh." they finally heard Lara say as she realized why they weren't opening the door.   "Oh I'm sorry, just continue doing what you're doing." Lara said through the door with a happy giggle. Arohi's face was bright red as she quickly struggled on her sweater.  "It's on the wrong way!" Arjun snapped. Stalking to the door, he threw it open as Arohi struggled to right her sweater.  "WHAT?!" he snapped at Jai and Lara who had just taken steps to walk away.  Turning around, the two of them care face to face with a fuming, bare chested Arjun.  Jai smirked while Lara gave Arjun a big knowing smile.  "Oh don't mind us, we're leaving."  "We'll leave you two love birds to continue doing what you were doing." she said with another giggle.  Arjun's eyes narrowed and he glared at Jai.  "Oh, hi" Arohi said rushing to the door and pushing Arjun back.  "Sorry, I was just in the shower."  "I didn't hear you guys." she lied, blushing furiously.  Arjun's eyes widened and he stared at Arohi like she'd grown two heads."  "Come in you guys." she said not meeting Arjun's eyes.  Arjun threw up his hands and muttered "You are the world's worst liar Arohi Singhania!"  Grabbing his t-shirt he slipped it on and threw himself on to the nearest chair.  Jai and Lara noticed the rumpled bed at the same time Arohi did and didn't miss her blush either.   Was she destined to be embarrassed every time Arjun and her tried to make love!

"We were totally interrupting weren't we." Lara asked as Arohi touched up her make up.  "No, no," Arohi quickly lied.  "Don't lie!"  "Why did you open the door." Lara asked.  "Because, it's just too embarrassing knowing that you, and Jai know what was happening."  "There was no way we could continue." Arohi said, shaking her head.  Lara smirked at Arohi.  "Arohi, I'm pretty sure Arjun would have helped you forget fairly quickly who Jai and I even were!" she said.  Arohi took a deep breath and then said "I guess I'm just nervous."  "I want us to make love but something always pulls us a part."  "I don't know... it's like a sign, don't you think?" Arohi asked Lara.  Lara rolled her eyes.  "Stop reading so much into it."  "Sometimes these things happen, they don't mean anything." Lara replied.  Arohi nodded and forced a smile on her face.  She knew she loved him, and she knew his kisses and caresses not only felt right but made her want more.  She was just being silly she told herself.  "Okay well we can have dinner and then you two can come back and..." Lara said mischievously.  Arohi shook her head at her friend as the two of them walked out of the bathroom.  "Ready?' Jai asked.  "Where should we eat?" he added.  Arohi shrugged, meeting Arjun's gaze.  His eyes locked onto hers and she saw a small smile play on his lips. As she walked by him, he whispered.  "As long as we're having dessert within the next hour back in our suite, just the two of us,  I don't care what we eat."  Arohi blushed and quickly rushed past him.  There was that tingly sensation again but with it that irritating nagging feeling that something wasn't quite right.  Shaking her head she told herself not to read too much into it.

Instead of heading to the Hotel Restaurant like Arjun thought they were going be,  they ended up at a pub, half way across town!  He didn't know how the hell that had happened but suddenly it was 3 against 1 and his opinion didn't matter.  He kept giving Arohi looks to say "no" and "side with him."  The sooner they finished dinner the sooner they could go back upstairs.  But no Arohi had agreed that this would be a lot of fun and they wouldn't stay long.  "I promise Arjun, we'll take a cab back after an hour."  "It just feels like it would be a lot of fun." she said, giving him a big smile.  When she smiled at him like that he usually couldn't deny her anything.  So as he sat at the bar, a beer in his hand,  watching his wife and Lara getting sloshed he glanced at his watch.  3:00 am.  What was supposed to be an hour turned into many many hours.  But seeing her laughing face he found himself smiling too.  She was having a good time, and he was surprised to find that, that mattered to him.  "They're pretty amazing aren't they?" Jai asked sitting next to him.  Arjun nodeed and then frowned.  "You sound like a girl!" he said gruffly.  Jai raised a brow and said,  "You looked like a little boy who had his favorite toy taken away from him."  "The look on your face when you opened the door earlier was priceless." I see all my predictions are coming true Arjun."  "Arohi is definitely getting to you my friend."  "I see the way you look at her...she means something to you." he added, giving Arjun a serious look.  Arjun scowled.  "Can you stop sounding like a freakin therapist!"  "Are we really talking about feelings and sh*t!?"  "What do you want to do next...each other's hair?!" Arjun asked in disgust.  Jai shook his head and replied.  "There is nothing wrong with being in touch with one's feelings and you know what I think, I think you seeing a therapist could only help you!"   Arjun opened his mouth to tell Jai exactly where he could shove it, when Arohi and Lara giggled there way over to them."  "Let's go now, the conference starts in 6 hours."  "If we leave now, we might get 3 hours of sleep!" Arjun snapped, grabbing Arohi's hand to pull her along.  "No, don't be a kharoos!' she said with a pout.  Arjun's eyes widened and then his lips thinned into a tight line as he glared at her.  "What did you say?" he asked, ignoring Jai's bark of laughter.  Looping her arms behind Arjun's neck, Arohi pressed herself closer and said against his ear.  "Ask me to dance Arjun."  Arjun felt his whole body respond to having her this close.  The memory of their kisses and her sweet smell permanently etched in his mind he said "Arohi, dance with me."  Arohi smiled.  She didn't miss that he didn't ask, he told...but that was okay, because all she wanted was to be in his arms again and she didn't care how she got there.

You've been on my mind
I grow fonder every day,
Lose myself in time
Just thinking of your face
God only knows
Why it's taken me so long
To let my doubts go
You're the only one that I want

I don't know why I'm scared, I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You'll never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
Promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me the chance
To prove I am the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

I've been on your mind?
You hang on every word I say
Lose yourself in time at the mention of my name
Will I ever know how it feels to hold you close?
And have you tell me whichever road I choose you'll go

I don't know why I'm scared 'cause I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You'll never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me the chance
To prove I am the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart
I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart

(Nobody's perfect, trust me I've learned it)
I know it ain't easy, giving up your heart
(Nobody's perfect, trust me I've learned it)
I know it ain't easy, giving up your heart

I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart
I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart

So I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me the chance
To prove I am the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts
Come on and give me the chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts.
(ADELE:ONE AND ONLY)

Arjun couldn't look away from Arohi.  Her eyes, so intense, so deep as if they could see into his very soul.  As the song continued and the words floated over them

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me the chance
To prove I am the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

Arjun felt his heart beat quicken.  Arohi's eyes were saying something.  They were asking him questions that he didn't have answers for.  Suddenly he couldn't seem to catch a breath, letting her go abruptly he pulled away until she stood a few feet away.  The dance floor packed with people, but all he could see was her.  He couldn't look back into those eyes, and he didn't miss the flash of pain that crossed her face.  Turning away he walked off the dance floor and out of the pub and Arohi watched him go.  Suddenly feeling alone when their were  hundreds of people around  her.   "Will I ever know how it feels to hold you close?...And have you tell me whichever road I choose... you'll go" Arohi repeated softly as unshed tears glistened in her eyes.
