Revenge

"Where is he?! Where is he?!" Jimin screamed as he pulled his perfectly combed hair, a few strands of black hair fell off Jimin's head and floated to the water above.

Taehyung slapped Jimin with the back of his hand as he watched the mermaid in front of him slowly lose his sanity. The black haired mermaid grasped his swollen cheek as fat, salty tears began to flow from his eyes. A sad whimper passed through his lips as he started to break down in front of Taehyung.

The blonde haired mermaid was surprised at the sight. Jimin, the stoic, perfect mermaid, was breaking down and becoming weak because of Hoseok. Maybe Taehyung was wrong and Jimin actually loved his Hobi.

"Look, don't freak out. Maybe he just got lost again. Let's not go crazy." Taehyung said, calmly swaying his tail.

On the inside, Taehyung was freaking out just as much as Jimin is. His heartbeat is beating faster than it ever has and his mind and coming up with the worse possibilities. Jimin's tears were practically flowing like a river from his eyes as he tried to breathe.

"I'm failing at not going crazy." Jimin whimpered, wringing his hair with his hands.

"Go sleep on it. He will come back home later, I guarantee it." Taehyung said as he rolled his eyes. At this point, Taehyung is more or less trying to convince himself rather than Jimin.

The black haired mermaid reluctantly started to swim away, leaving the other mermaid alone among the cold seaweed. Taehyung sighed as he felt the blood under his skin grow colder with each passing second. He missed his Hoseok, his soft lips, his stupidly adorable giggle, his beautiful eyes and smile... he missed all of it.

It was pretty hypocritical for him to tell Jimin to go home while he was planning on searching for a certain orange haired mermaid himself. Perhaps it was because Taehyung wanted to be the only one to save his baby, or maybe it was just because he doesn't like Jimin all that much.

Either way, Taehyung was going to be spending the next 3 to 4 hours searching the entire sea for his Hobi. He would rather die than live without him.

"Hey eomma..."

"Oh, hello, Jimin sweetie! What's wrong?" Jimin's mother asked, noting the depressed expression painted on her son's face.

"It's... it's him again." Jimin said flustered, turning his head to check for his father. "I - I kissed him today... at the reef."

Jimin's mother eyes lit up and shined brightly, she always support their relationship. After all, what kind of mother wouldn't? Besides, Jimin has always been cold to any suitors his parents tried to pair him up with, any mermaid that could melt his heart was definitely the right one for him. She still remembers how he described the other mermaid.

"He's magical!" He would say. "The most perfect thing on Earth! If god existed, it would be him! He's kind, and sweet, and so soft, and he has the the sweetest smile in the entire world!"

It made Jimin's mothers heart soar from hearing those sweet words spill from her son's mouth.

"That's good news! How did he react?" His mother was carefully treading with her words, if her son is talking about him and he seems really sad, there's something wrong here.

Jimin sucked in a breathe before spilling out. "He seemed to like it, he didn't pull away atleast, that's good, I think. But after that, Taehyung came and ruined it. We fought and he ran away. I'm scared, eomma, what if he hates me now? Should I change? Should I be more sweet towards him? Should I be more like Taehyung?" Jimin cried, tears pooling in his eyes again.

Jimin's mother pulled her son close to her chest, allowing him to sob onto her shoulder. It was rare for her son to cry like this, the last time this happened was when Hoseok was almost banished by his father. The water surrounding them suddenly felt colder as both of them heard the gruff voice of her husband.
