Tris' POV

You were in college workin' part-time, waitin' tables

Left a small town, never looked back

I was a filght risk with a fear of fallin' wonderin' why we bother with love if it never lasts

I say,"Can you believe it?" as we're lyin' on the couch the moment I can see it yes, yes I can see it now

Do you remember, we were sittin' there by the water

You put your arm around me for the first time

you made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter

You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Flash forward, and we're takin' on the world together

And there's a drawer of my things at your place

You learn my secrets and figure out why I'm guarded

You say we'll never make my parents mistakes

Well we got bills to pay we got nothing figured out

When it was hard to take yes, yes this is what I thought about

Do you remember we were sittin' there by the water

You put your arm around me for the first time

You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter

You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Do you remember all the city lights on the water?

You saw me start to believe for the first time

You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter

You are the best thing that's ever been mine

And I remeber that fight, 2:30 am

As everything was slipping right out of our hands

I ran out crying and you followed me out into the street

Braced myself for the goodbye

'Cuz that's all I ever known

But you took me by suprise

you said, "I'll never leave you alone."

You said, "I remember how we felt sittin' by the waternd every time I look at you, it's like the first time

I fell in love with a careless man's careful daughter

She is the best thing, that's ever been mine"......

You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter

You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Do you believe it?

We're gonna make it now

And I can see it

I can see it now

Everyone in the room cheers for me as I make my way back to Tobias. I think he likes my song choice.

"Nicely done, Tris," he whispers in my ear.

Time skip to lunch!

"Tris! I'm buying you this piece of cake and if you don't like it, we shall shunn you for a week!" Says an overly cheerful, Uriah.

"Er, I'll try it but I don't really like sweets," I tell him.

But, even though I tell him this his smile becomes even bigger. "We all know you like sweets Trhad is, you a lot of ice-cream that first day of school. But, this is the best food known toman kind."

"Then why haven't I heard nof it?" I ask, defending on my side, while advancing in the lunch line.

"That, Trissy, is because it's only sold and made here in Chicago! I garentee you'll love it!" He exclaims, moving up right behind me in line.

When we're done in the line I sit down in my spot next to Tobias, at the table and eat my food. Everyone is staring at me impatiently, for what, I don't know.

"You're killing me here Tris, finish your food! I want to expirence the new one eating her first piece of Dauntless cake!" Shouts Marlene.

"Jeez! I only have a bite of pizza left! Calm yourself!" I say back. I swallow down the last bite and pull the cake towards me. Tobias looks at it like a mainiac, I guess he really wants this cake. So I get a huge fork-full of cake and put it in my mouth.

"OHMIFREAKINGGOD THIS IS AMAZING! WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS MAKE ME TRY THIS BEFORE!" I shreak. This is the best food ever, I really owe Uriah. I can't help but gobble the rest down. But, within 10 seconds, the cake is gone. I sigh at the white, empty, paper plate.

"I remember when the cake was the for me to eat," I sigh at it. Everyone starts laughing, and soon so do I. I have the best friends ever.

A/N: I would've had this up a few hours ago, but it kept deleting. That's very frustrating when it does so. So you guys got a little Taylor swit! Yay! She will show up again, but I will be throwing in some Demi Lovato. Oh, yea! And Tori Kelly. If you ever want some songs to b played I have the gang sing it! But if I don't know it it sadly wont come up. But i know a lot of songs so the odds r that the song will come up. I'm not the author of Divergent, Veronica Roth is, though.
