The rest of the day went along pretty slowly. I made plans with Christina and Shauna to go shopping on Friday and possibly stay over at Shauna's house over the weekend. Uriah's brother skipped second period so I never got to find out if they really were the Pedrads, but oh well. When I came out of the school and unlocked my car, Four, Uriah, and some other guy ask me if I wanted to go to the Amity Diner with the three them for dinner and I agreed because I know it won't do any harm. So right now, I'm getting ready since they said to dress nicely.

I'm in a loose, purple and black dress that falls to my knees. It's designed to seem as it's to different peices though. Then again, the only people that ever think that are boys. The top part is black and hugs my upper body and the bottom part is a calm, flowy purple. But I couldn't go on without putting up the idea of, "I'm not that girly" so I put on a pair of black, leather combat boots and a black leather vest. I added my mockingjay pin for good luck. The Pedrads got it for me on my 11th birthday. Each of us (Tobias, Uriah, Zeke, Carmen, and I) got one as a reminder of a few things we all share. Our friendship, love of The Hunger Games, and.... Well, I guess that's it. But, still.

I haven't taken off the locket because there wasn't any reason to take it off in the first place since it's waterproof. So I kept it on when I showered. I tuck it under my vest so it's not making my outfit that bulky. Next up, make-up! I lightly apply a lit bit of dark eyeshadow and eyeliner. I take a quick picture of myself in the full body mirror in the bathroom and send it to all the girls I became friends with today. They imedietly text back with stuff like, "cute" or "fabulous" but Lynn says, "wtf, cute but y r u dressed like that?" I text her the reason and she then has an 'oh' moment. I just sigh to myself.

I walk downstaris with phone in hand to see a happy Mom and Dad. It almost freaks me out. Correction. It does freak me out. But when I look slightly left, I see Four, Uriah, and the random guy standing cluelessly in the living room quietly talking to each other obviously amazed by out house. I let out a small giggle and they turn their heads towards me. Four looks great. So do the other guys but.... Four looks twenty times better than them. Then again, I find Four the most attractive out of the three...

"Well, you guys better get going because Beatrice has to be back home by 11:30!" My dad says. I have the best dad in the world. They had poor choice in picking my name, but they're great parents.

With that, we all head out the door and get in the green jeep waiting for us outside. "I call shotgun!!!" Chants Uriah. He hops in the seat to then be kicked out Four. He whispers something into Uriah's ear making him nod. "Ladies first," says Uriah. He even mimics a British accent but horribly fails.

"Dude, don't talk like that. You sound like a British princess! No scratch that. You sound like you're trying to be a British princess," I tell him. Everyone starts laughing, including Uriah! I hop into shotgun and Four starts the car. Here We Go Again starts to play on the radio so we all sing like rock stars all the way there. I can't wait for dinner.
