I woke up to a nudge on my arm. I sat up and Jimmy smiled at me.

“Hey, I don’t mean to disturb your sleep. But I’m going to work now. I don’t know if you want to go back there, I’d love to take you. But I know you need rest so I’m going to let you sleep.”
“Thank you.”
“One more thing, what size are you clothes wise?” He asked right before I turned to sleep again.

“Uh.. a small.” I spoke, confused.

“And what about pants or something?”

“A 6.” I slurred, still sort of half sleeping.

“Got it. Sleep tight pal, I’ll be back around 2pm to check on you and after the show’s over I’ll come straight here. But for now, make yourself at home please. Hope you’re feelin’ better.” He squeezed my arm and walked out of the door. I immediately fell asleep again after I heard the door close.

I woke up at around 1:30pm. I slept pretty well. I got out of his bed and made it up, then walked into the now vacant living room, and sat on the couch. I grabbed the remote on the table next to the couch and turned the tv on. I smiled as I realized one of Jimmy’s movies was on. As I continued to watch the movie, my mom and little sisters entered my brain. I hoped they were okay, and I hoped they were with family. After my dad died, my paternal grandparents got upset at my mom because she wanted to bury him in The Hamptons, but they wanted to bury him where he grew up at in New Jersey. He ended up being buried in the Hamptons and they never spoke to my mom again. My dad’s side of the family was all the family we had in the area, because my maternal grandparents lived in Pittsburgh. I was extremely worried, but my main worry was the fact I know she was worried about me too.

“Are you Andie?” A woman spoke from behind me, toting a little toddler. She scared me.

“Yes.”

“I’m Nancy, I’m Jimmy’s ex-wife. He told me to bring these to you, and he told me to stay here until he gets here. I hope that’s okay.”

“It’s your home, that’s fine with me.”

She nodded and sat the little girl in front of me on the floor. She just sat there, playing with a stuffed bear she had and viewing the tv. Nancy sat in the kitchen on her computer. I didn’t remember if Jimmy Fallon had a kid. I wasn’t that into the show, but I was almost sure he didn’t have a kid. Nancy closed her laptop and sat next to me on the couch. She flashed a quick smile at me before watching the tv too.

“You a fan of Jimmy’s?” She asked.

“Kinda.”

“Hm.” She nodded. “You doing okay, honey?”

“Better than usual.”

“Jimmy told me where he met you.”
Great, everyone knew I was a nut job.

“I don’t know if you want to talk about it.. but I want you to know me and Jimmy are always here to talk.”

“Thank you.” I pretended to smile. I reached for the remote at the same time Nancy did and she saw my wrist.

“Oh honey.. you did this to yourself?” She held my wrist in the palm of her hand. I felt the tears again. She pulled me in for a hug and suddenly I felt safe. I watched as her little girl got up and joined the hug. We stayed like that for a minute.

Jimmy’s POV

After taping, I came home to Nancy and Andie in the kitchen cooking food as Winnie sat in her high chair smiling and laughing. I was shocked.

“Well, look at you three!” I announced, sitting my things on the couch.

“Hi Jimmy, me and Andie thought we’d cook dinner before I left. How does pasta sound?” Nancy placed a plate of pasta on the table while Andie was dishing out more on another plate.

“Sounds good actually.” I sat down at the table. “Is that my girl! Hey Win!”

Winnie giggled and covered her eyes with her hands.
“You wanna play peek-a-boo?” I asked. She nodded, smiling from ear to ear. I began playing with her while Nancy and Andie continued whatever they were doing.

“Dinner’s done and I gotta catch up with Brad in Midtown.” Nancy kissed Winnie on her cheek.

“Okay, thanks again for everything Nance.” I smiled at her.

“Any time. Enjoy the rest of your night, Andie.” They hugged and Nancy left. Andie sat down and began eating.

“What was that? You guys got along famously!” I grinned.

“I like her. She’s a great woman, I understand why you married her.”

“Yeah, I still don’t understand the divorce.” I sighed.

Andie twirled her fork in the pasta before speaking again. “Nancy told me after she filed for divorce, you went through a lot.”

I nodded. “That’s with any divorce.”

“No.” She looked up at me. “You tried to..”

“Oh.” I cut her off. “Yeah, I guess I should talk about it. But maybe not with Winnie around. Did she eat?” I got up, pulling Winnie out of the high chair and sitting her on the living room floor.

I sat back down and Andie was waiting for me to speak.

“Yeah, things got pretty rough for me last year. I was really down on myself, I thought Nancy hated me or didn’t love me anymore. It was too hard to take. I wasn’t being myself, everyone around me noticed. I was having suicidal thoughts one night, and I started popping every pill I could find. It was terrible. Nancy came to drop Winnie off and found me lying across the couch vomiting. She saw the medicine bottles everywhere, so I was rushed to the hospital. It was so bad, but I recovered. I got help. And I’m better than ever. When I saw you up there last night, it hit a nerve. I knew I had to help.”

Andie was crying again. “I’m sorry. I’m just really emotional. You’re lucky you had so much support and love.”

“Yeah,” I nodded. “Speaking of love and support, I went to try and find your mom today. I got pretty close.”

“What?” She loudly spoke, smiling and scooting closer to me.

“You have an Aunt Julia in New Jersey?” I asked.

“Yeah, but the whole family stopped talking to my mom after a stupid fallout.”

I shook my head no. “Well, she’s been in contact with them. Everyone’s been looking for you after your mom desperately begged your dad’s side of the family to help them. And you’re their granddaughter, so you’re mom’s over in Jersey. I’m taking you tomorrow.”

She put her head down on the table, all I heard were cries.

“Andie, you okay?” I got up and rubbed her back. She lifted her head up again and wiped her face with her shirt sleeve.

“No one’s ever been so nice to me. I’ve had friends come and go, and now I have no friends. But I’ve never had a friend like you.”

“I’m glad.” She stood up and hugged me tightly.

“You have no idea how much of a help you’ve been. Nancy showed me the clothes you brought me, you had taste.”

I chuckled. “I have no style. I just saw outfits and grabbed as many as I could.”

“Well, you did a kick-ass job.” She smiled.

“Kick ass? You’re so outspoken and it took Nancy to bring out your true colors.” I laughed.

We finished dinner and played with Winnie for the rest of the night until we both decided to go to bed.
