“Mommy!” A little girl ran to me and I picked her up, toting her around on my waist.
“Hey little lady,” I smiled. “Let’s go see what your daddy and big sister are doing.”
We walked into an office to see Winnie sitting on Jimmy’s lap, trying to figure out one of Winnie’s homework problems.
“Andie!” Winnie got up and I put my little girl down to kiss Winnie on her forehead.
Jimmy got up and handed Winnie her worksheet. “You girls go downstairs and play, I can help you again in a second Winn.”
As they ran downstairs, Jimmy grabbed my hand and pulled me towards his shelf where he kept all his awards.
“You know, 5 years with you seems like a million years.” Jimmy reached behind his Grammy and pulled out a small box. “I thought I’d give you this before we left for Hawaii tomorrow.” He opened the box, revealing a two row natural pearl necklace. This was the one I was attached to in the store a few weeks ago, but couldn’t dare tell him since it was over $100,000 dollars and I didn’t need it if it was that much.
“Jimmy, what the hell.” I chuckled as he put it on my neck. “This thing probably cost more than this ring.” I looked down at my left hand.
“Your wedding ring? No, that was way more.” Jimmy smiled.
“You really don’t need to be spending all of that money on me, or anything really.” I sighed.
“You deserve it.” He kissed my hand. “You’re everything to me. You’re my wife, you birthed my daughter. I owe everything to you, you saved me. You gave me love. The least I can do is shower you with anything and everything you want, since you’ve given me everything I wanted.”
My eyes fluttered open and I jumped, noticing I was in a hotel room bed with Jimmy. His arms were wrapped around my arm tightly, and it was 2pm. Jimmy and I had to be at the Emmys in 3 hours.
“Jimmy..” I tried to wiggle out of his tight hold. “Baby, get up.”
“That’s new.” He uttered quietly before releasing me and yawning. “What time is it, baby?”
I smiled. “2:07.”
“Really?” Jimmy literally fell off the bed. He hurriedly got back up and he was fully undressed.
“I can definitely get used to this view.”
He looked down and chuckled. “Go shower first. I have to make some calls, baby.”
“You’re taking that and running with it.” I giggled before dragging my own naked body out of bed and walking to the bathroom.
After we both showered, he put his suit, but his tie and shoes still weren’t on. Me, on the other hand, had to get uber ready, since my hair and makeup still weren’t done yet.
“Jimmy, can you grab that dress from the closet?” I yelled from the bathroom.
“Which one?” He yelled back. “Purple or white?”
“White!”
He appeared in the doorway holding the dress and staring at me. I looked up at him through the mirror.
“You can lay it on the bed or something.” I began to curl my hair, but he wouldn’t move from the door. “Seriously, the dress might get water or lipstick or something on it.”
He smiled. “I just wanted to stand here for a minute.”
I smirked before continuing to curl my hair. “Well, I don’t look like much now. But after the makeup’s done, I’ll be red carpet ready.”
