Andie’s POV

“Can you stay pwease?” Winnie pleaded in her little baby voice as she tugged on my shirt.

“I have to go home, Winn. I’ll see you soon okay?” I stood up and reached my arms out, waiting for her to jump onto my chest like she used to. She jumped on my chest, giggling and tugged at my hair. I put her down on the couch and headed to the door. Jimmy was walking in.

“Are you leaving?” He asked.

I nodded. “Sasha’s probably worried about me.”

“You can just call her or something.. I really want you to stay.” He was starting to sound like Winnie. I couldn’t say no to that.

“Fine, I’ll text her.”

We ended up staying up until 2am watching the movie “Frozen” over twice with Winnie. Winnie fell asleep on the living room floor and we were drifting away slowly on the couch in each others arms.

“How’s head writer treating you?” Jimmy spoke quietly.

“Good, I guess. It’s a lot of hard work, but I’m making it.”

“You’re doing good. Even though you’ve been at it for almost a month now, I think you’re gonna be nominated for an Emmy. All the skits we’ve been doing have been great, and you’re the mastermind behind it. People will catch on.”

It was weird to think I could be even thought about being nominated for an Emmy. “You think so?”

“I know so.” We both looked over at Winnie who was sound asleep on the floor, but wiggling around.

“She’s so cute.” I giggled. His eyes stayed on Winnie.

“I didn’t know I could make something that perfect.” Jimmy sniffled. “Probably what God said when he made you.”

“I’m so far from perfect.” I shook my head.

“Not to me. You have gotta be the definition of it.”

“Why are you so sweet to me?” I sighed.

“Because I’m in love with you. I’ll do whatever it takes to make you feel perfect.”

I didn’t respond. Instead I just decided to believe his words from now on. I couldn’t keep living in the past. I wanted to see what this relationship would do for me.

-

I ended up staying at his apartment all weekend. I just felt at home. Nancy took Winnie Saturday night, and now it was just me and Jimmy. I woke up before him, and I just stared. I don’t understand how this man, so perfect and has everything he could ever need, is willing to just love me. It’s all I could have wished for. I watched his body fluctuate up and down as he breathed. His eyes soon fluttered open and his lips formed a smile.

“I’m so lucky.” Was the first thing he uttered out.

“Why?” I giggled slightly.

“Because I get to wake up and see your face. I’m happy you stayed.”

“I’m happy I stayed too.”

He smiled and pecked my lips before sitting up. He looked over at his phone and jumped.

“What?” I sat up quickly.

“It’s Monday, not Sunday.” He looked at me and laughed.

“I know.” I shrugged. I then realized we both had work. “What time is it!?”

“10am.” He chuckled.

I shot out of bed and ran to the bathroom. After I finished showering it was about 10:20am. Jimmy was already showered and getting ready. I had to do my hair and find an outfit.. I wasn’t home. I had no clothes here.
