A/N
Okay guys now this has to do with historical stuff.
Here is brief history lesson for you.
During WW2, Japan did some pretty mean things. Again, I am an American so this might be a bias statement but seriously... things happened... I don't really have problems against Japan right now. I love anime and manga... and those are Japanese things. Thus you shouldn't have bad thoughts about Japan okay?
Now on to more history.
Japan invaded The Philippines and was her their third colonizer... Japan did rule harshly and I won't get into more... You can google the rest.
Note:
Maya = Malaysia
Melati= Indonesia
Maria= Philippines

Yong Soo's Point of View
I couldn't understand why Maria was so upset. She would come home drunk off her brother's wine and she always avoided my questions. She is still recovering from Haiyan but that wasn't it. I can't remember when I last saw her smile.
I peeked into our room and I saw her lying on the bed looking straight into the ceiling.
"Oh. Hello South Korea." She said when she noticed me. She would always call me by my nation name. It's been months since she's called me Yong Soo.
"Hello Maria. Are you hungry? Is anything wrong?" I asked trying to break this routine of her emotionless voice. Her sisters Maya and Melati have been starting to get worried too. I tried asking Alfred but he had no answer... same when I asked Lovino and Antonio.
"Nothing's wrong. I'm fine Korea, you don't need to waste time here with me. Go hang out with your brothers if you wish."
"My time is never wasted with you Maria." I replied.
"I would like to be alone Yon...-Korea." She corrected. I sighed and left.
Maria's Point of View
When South Korea closed the door I quickly rolled on my side and curled into a ball.
('He' is NOT South Korea. It's Japan. I'm talking about Japan in this paragraph. Sorry if I have caused any confusion.)
Tears leaked through my eyes as I could remember his harsh words and his actions. How dare he! How dare he act as if he is just some indifferent man who has done no wrong. Painful shrieks mixed with the tears as I tried to forget the sensation of his hands on my skin. He wasn't indifferent, he was hateful.
It terrified me as I could see him with Taiwan. Their hands intertwined, smiled on their faces, as I could also see the pained face of a Chinese man stomping on love letters and roses. It terrified me and it still does.
I could see the way he talks to South Korea. He talked to him as if he were a simple childhood friend. That they both weren't personified countries with twisted pasts. When he's around me now he just silently smile maybe he mutter occasionally 'Hello Piripinas.' South Korea would just let it pass his mind and wouldn't think a thing about it.
I couldn't talk to South Korea about this. He doesn't know what I've been through. He wouldn't care at all. He'd leave me because I'm just another impurity. I've had horrible bosses. I've had natural disasters. I'm a screw up. I thought to myself as I ran out of tears. I don't deserve South Korea.
