Banks and Rings

Yong Soo's POV

Maria blushed as I held the door, leading to the bank, for her. My right hand then clasped her left hand. My thumb rubbing over the gold piece of metal, slight smiles were on both of our faces.

We the walked over to the line, where you would speak to the person who would do what you needed done. I guess it must have been a busy day since the line's end was in the middle of the room. The reason we were even in the bank was because we had to cash in our paychecks. (if that is not what you do in a bank then just imagine something else ok.)

"Seriously though.... I just can't believe that..." She started.

"We're engaged?" I said. (Heh heh heh)

"Yeah." She said squeezing my hand. "I love you." She winked.

"Mahal din kita." I replied imitating her accent. She playfully rolled her eyes.

"I need to use the restroom... bye." I said walking away.

"Bye!" She answered.

As I washed my hands after I used the restroom, I suddenly heard a gunshot. I dried my hands thinking it was just in my head. As I exited the bathroom I heard a man yelling and I froze right in my tracks.

"I'M SERIOUS! IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME ALL YOU'VE GOT THIS GIRL....." He trailed off. "WILL BE SHOT AND KILLED. I peeked my head out and looked throughout the kneeling crowd who all had their hands above their heads. My lungs dropped into my stomach as I couldn't see her in the crowd. I took a deep breath and looked to the man holding the gun... to Maria's temple. She was trembling and whimpering, tears streaming down her face. There were also two other men dressed in black, with masks over their faces. "Aww Hey Carl get over here!" The man holding the gun said. At this point, I was sitting on the floor with my hands above my head.

"That's so cute Aaron. An engagement ring." He said harshly grabbed her wrist, making her gasp as she did so. Her fearful eyes then met mine. I felt so useless, I couldn't do anything or else he might shoot her.

"I wonder who the lucky guy is." The man chuckled scanning room. Her bottom lip trembled as she quickly looked away from me. The other man hit the desk and demanded the money. The lady manning the desk was crying as she was trying to get her manager.

"YOU THERE! You look like a possible suitor." The man said yanking me to my feet.

"I can't just get the money! A card or check needs to be used in order to place a transaction!" The lady pleaded.

"Well, You're going to need to make things happen sweetie." The third man sneered.

"I haven't seen that guy in my life." I heard Maria say. My eyes then met hers as a slight smile was on her face.

She was trying to protect me. I looked down breaking eye contact with her.

"Is that so? I wonder what his reaction will be when I pull this trigger." The man said. "What a shame to become a widower before you're even married.

"Please don't shoot her!" I begged going against her wishes. She sighed looking sadly at me. I tried to struggle against the mans grip.

"WHERE'S MY MONEY!" The man shouted.

"I told you I don't have direct access to it. I can't do anything!" The lady cried. As I struggled I then heard a gun shot. (._. wut) The other people in the crowd gasped. My arms hung limply as I didn't dare to look at the scene. Tears ran down my face as my anger slowly grew.

"The girl can't do nothing Aaron! Let's just get out of here!" The man restraining me let go and I fell to the ground. The lady at the desk was still crying and the rest of the crowd left the building quickly. I then heard a dial tone as the lady called someone.

"H...hello 911. Yes. My name is Mary Jane Parker. A girl was shot in the lower back." Lower back? "Thank you." The girl then ran out with a towel and held it against her back.

"I...I got it." I said. The girl smiled softly at me. I held the towel trying to stop the bleeding as the light suddenly shined off of something. Her engagement ring. Her body was limp and on her face... there was a soft smile. Tears streamed down my face as I tried to not scream out.

I heard a siren and the door opening, the man then took over and another started to question me. I could barely answer his questions as I could barely think. Nothing seemed real anymore. I just couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that she's probably dead.

Maria's POV

My eyes fluttered open and I flinches as they met a bright light.

"Morning Sleeping Beauty." A voice greeted.

"Malaysia?" I asked squinting.

"Don't worry I got you." Another voice said. The lights dimmed as I could clearly see their faces.

"What? What happened?" I asked.

"You've been in a coma for like a month." Malaysia said.

"We're so glad you're awake!" Indonesia said. "They were going to pull the plug but don't worry, your Ate Nesia wouldn't let that happen." She said smiling at me.

"I...I really missed you. Glad you're okay Filipina." Malaysia said looking down.

"Thanks." I smiled, it was strange to see the stoic girl so emotional.

The door opened and I tried to look over.

"You're awake." Brunei smiled handing me flowers.

"Thanks Brunei." I said. "Hey guys..." I started.

"Yeah?" Indonesia asked.

"Where's Yong Soo?" I asked.

"He should be on his way. He has been visiting you everyd-" Malaysia was interrupted by the door.

"Hey Guys." I heard a familiar voice. A man walked in with more flowers. (Piri is receiving so many flowers :D) "You...You're awake...." Yong Soo said when we made eye contact.
