*Shadowfen, a lush dark swamp located in the northwest region of Blackmarsh*
5:40 PM
Stormhold, a fairly sized town located in Shadowfen.
A dark sorcerer by the name of Draith, cloaked in all black, was finishing up some business in the town of Stormhold.
He strolled through the town, rain beating down on the stone pathway beneath his black boots, the rain had caused a fresh swamp smell to invade the town.
Draith pulled his hood down lower over his eyes, noticing that he was being followed.
He could tell, for the shadows shifted often when he stood for too long at a booth, and he could hear the faint sound of heavy breathing as the unknown creeper got a little too close for his liking.
Draith decided to take a shortcut through the swamp, half hoping the unknown creeper would not dare to follow him into uncharted territory.
As he descended through the wet swamp ferns and made his way down a muddy hill, he heard the sound of boots slapping through the mud that were not his own.
He quickly spun around, only to see ferns swaying back and forth as though somebody had just brushed past them.
"Who's there?" Draith called to the now dead silent swamp.
Silence.
Silence was all that he could hear now.
All the birds, reptiles, bugs and amphibians that were native to the swamp had gone silent.
"Dammit, I should not have taken this path." Draith said under his breath, surveying the surrounding swamp for a few seconds before turning and continuing on his set path, as it was too late for him to go back now.
It was getting darker and darker by the minute, soon it would be pitch black and Draith knew this.
He also knew that certain predators came out at night, such as the Wamasu, a great reptile that resembled a dragon on all fours with no wings and it breathed lightning instead of fire.
With this thought in mind, he quickened his pace.
He wanted to run, but he knew the creeper was most likely still following him and he didn't want them to do anything rash if he ran, such as shoot an arrow into his back or perhaps toss a paralyzing spell at him.
A gruff cough brought Draith out of his thoughts and before he could turn around, a semi-familiar voice called out from behind him.
"Draith, Draith, Draith. You should have known better than to venture out on your own at this time of night."
A shudder went up Draith's spine and he slowly turned on his heel to come face to face with Spider, an old rival he hadn't seen in years.
"You! What do you want?" Draith sneered, glaring at him with a renewed hatred.
"Isn't it obvious? I want revenge." Spider said, followed by a harrowing laugh.
"Revenge? Revenge for what? The rivalry between me and you is practically centuries old!" Draith stated, rolling his eyes beneath his hood.
"Never too late for revenge!" Spider replied, and took a step forward, causing Draith to quickly take a step back.
"Scared?" Spider said, taking another step forward.
"No. Your breath stinks." Draith replied rudely, causing Spider to scoff in return.
"Look. I'll make you a deal, I won't kill you tonight, IF you give me that crystal you've been hauling around for the past decade." Spider said, raising his brow.
