// literally everyone is taller than me
Pain. The only thing KiKu felt at the moment. But it wasn't her throbbing head, no. Something was jumping on her chest. While trying to shield her face from the sunlight with her one hand, she looked up at the small creature hurting her.
"Shiber, what are you doing here...You're supposed to be at the shelter....ugh.", the girl growned while resting her head again at her pillow. After a while she had enough and she packed Shiber.
"Why does it look like you're smirking"
She put him on her nightstand and took a sip of her bottle water afterwards. Man, how much did I drink last night. She layed down again before a disgusting smell hit her nose. Fuck, is this me. She smelled herself. Oh man, i actually have no energy to take a shower. Still, she slipped into her slippers and walked towards her wardrobe. Taking out pieces of undergarments, some sweatpants and a t-shirt, she made her way towards the bathroom.
"KiKu-yah, is that you? Are you awake?", she heard the loud voice of her mom asking for her. Her head started aching and she quickly yelled that they should stop yelling and that she was going to take a shower.
After coming freshly showered into the kitchen where her parents were seated and drinking tea, she sat down next to her dad.
"You look terrible. Here, i made some haejang-guk* for you.", her mother shove her a bowl of soup. She gratefully began to eat.
"At least you don't stink anymore.", her dad told her while taking another sip out of his cup.
"Yes, even though you stank as hell it was still nice of that young man to drop you off, yesterday.", KiKu stared at her parents confusingly.
"What young man? I don't remember how i came home...", she asked while leaning her head back onto the char.
"Oh, what was his name again? You know, that handsome boy who goes to the same university? He was tall and had a beautiful smile!"
"That's not really helpful...Literally everyone is taller than me."
"Not our fault you took after your hal-abeoji.", KiKu's father mumbled.
"Well, now that you're awake, you can help me with the chores.", her mother said, while filling the crossword on the newspaper.
"Let the kid rest a bit. Don't you see, she's in pain.", her father said while patting her head.
"Yes, eomma. I'm really in pain, jeongmal...", she said while pleading with her eyes.
"If you want to go out today as your friend told me than you will have to do something at least. Go rest, I'll call you later to dry the dishes, okay?"
"Wait, what did my friend say?", KiKu remembered that it was better to check her messages. "And where is my phone?"
"Here, I put it in the charger after that handsome boy gave it to us.", KiKu thanked her mother, before checking her messages. And clearly;
