Heart Vacancy ~Part 11

Chapter eleven

*Jay POV*

We’d been at Hyde for a couple of hours, me and Kelsey were sitting on the grass watching the other boys when I heard her say “you okay bird, you’re being very quiet” 

“im fine thanks im just thinking”  “bout what bou” she asked “sorry thats me being nosey”

“haha, its fine thats nothing compared to what the boys do to get something out of you”  I smiled at her, then here phone rang...

*Kelsey POV*

Jay was very quiet today, I kept stealing glances at him through the corner of my eye, he was actually perfect.  I started to talk to him and then my phone rang, it was my Dad, he hadn’t been in contact with me since I’d been in the paper “Kelsey is that you, ive got to tell you something” he was sobbing, “dad whats wrong” I was getting worried, my dad has never cried before, infront of me anyway.  “your nan....” he tailed off and my mind just went blank I could feel the tears running down my cheeks “this cant be happening, dad when?”

“it was yesterday we were going to ring you, but I just couldn’t face it”

“do you want me to come home?!”

“no I think we’ll be alright I’ll ring you about the funeral” and then he hung up on me. 

“no, no, no why?” I said aloud and started to cry to myself, I then felt some arms around me, its was Jay he picked me up and put me on his lap and rocked me while I was crying.

“Kelsey tell me please, whats wrong? Can I help?”

“jay there’s nothing you can do, thank you though, I need to go home.”  I got up and started to walk away, as soon as I knew I was out of his view, I ran to my flat, opened the door, and collapsed into a heap on the floor.

I stayed there for over two hours, and memories of her came flooding back, how could she have gone?  I stood up, went over to the mirror, I looked a mess, so I decided to have a bath and try and get my head around what has happened.

*Jay POV*

She started to cry, she turned away, she thought I hadn’t seen her but she said something faintly, and she burst out in tears, I put my arms around her and cradled her on my lap, I asked her to tell me what was wrong, and then she said, “jay there’s nothing you can do, thank you though, I need to go home.”   She didn’t even give me the chance to say something she walked off, I started to walk after, her but then she’d gone, i felt so bad, I didn’t know what to do.

The boys had seen this they jogged over “is she alright, what happened?” the boys bombarded me with questions “guys I honestly don’t know she just broke down in tears and wouldn’t tell me and then walked off”.  “shall I ring Amy” Nathan asked “please, I want to find out whats wrong”

We went back to mine and Nathan rang Amy, but she was away with her family, so she couldn’t help me, but she did tell me/Nathan where Kelsey hid her spare key to her flat, so I after the guys talking to me about what I should do, they said that I should go round there and see how she was, after that they left mine, and I quickly changed into joggers and a t-shirt, and made my way round to Kelsey’s.

*Kelsey POV*

I got out the bath not feeling much better, chucked on an oversized t-shirt and joggers and crawled into bed, my head hit the pillow and I was out.

*Jay POV*

I grabbed the key and opened the door and walked into the flat it was deadly quiet I didn’t want to shout out, so I checked the rooms, and found her asleep on her bed instead of leaving, I crept on the bed and lay next her, without waking her up. I then felt my eyes start to close and then I started to drift off.

*Kelsey POV*

I started to stir, I realised that there was a body next to me I looked and it was jay! Aww bless him, Amy obviously told him where my spare key was. I moved over to him and snuggled into him, he started to move and wake up he put his arm around me and pulled me closer.  It was so comforting to know that he was there. I also love the fact that he made the effort to come round and see how I was.  I lay there head on his chest listening to his heartbeat, this moment was perfect.  Jay then broke the silence by asking me the question that I had been dreading to answer “what happened, what was the phone call?” so I told him. it didn’t take long there wasn’t that much to say really, my eyes started to fill with tears again, he pulled me closer and kissed my forehead. “im so sorry”  “I just want to thank you for being here” “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else” he said.  I smiled up at him gazing into his blue eyes, and a tear rolled down my cheek, and he wiped it away, and kissed my nose.

We laid in bed for the rest of the day until the early in the morning, when I suddenly felt really hungry, I had some ben and jerry’s in the freezer so I decided to get up and get some.

Jay: “where are you going?”  “ice cream” I replied. He laughed I went and fetched the tub, and two spoons and got back into bed.  We ate most of the tub, and I put some on jay’s nose, and tried to get it off with his tongue and failed, he put some on mine, and I said “licking me nose is one of my hidden talents!” and winked at him and got the ice cream.  He started to smile at me, “what?”
