Jaemin's POV{a/n it's finally a different POV than "no one's POV"}

I arrived at Donghyuck's house- I needed to make sure that he was okay. I knocked on the door and it was answered by Donghyuck's mother. She seemed relieved that I was there and told me Donghyuck had locked himself up in his room.

I thanked Donghyuck's mom before going towards Donghyuck's room. Just as Mrs. Lee said, the door was locked and a depressed Donghyuck was probably inside.

"Donghyuck." I called softly, but in a voice loud enough to be heard through the door as I knocked on the wooden surface.

"Who is it?"

"It's Jaemin, I've come to check up on you." I said, my heart clenching at how sad and broken my friend sounded. "Are you okay?"

The door then opened to reveal a messy-hair, tear-stricken Donghyuck. He looked...well, horrible. "What do you think?" He sassed.

"You still can sass me even when you're sad." I said, laughing slightly to hopefully lighten up the mood, but Donghyuck just looked at me.

I almost immediately stopped my laughter. "Donghyuck, I'm really sorry...my brother he-"

"He's a dumbass for even making an acquittance with Reina." Donghyuck said bitterly.

"I know, I tried to tell him but he wouldn't listen. H-he insulted me and-" I stopped, this isn't about me, it's about Donghyuck. "Nevermind. This isn't supposed to be about me..."

"No, I want to know. You seem sad." Donghyuck said, instantly putting away his sassy attitude to replace it with concern for me. I should've known Donghyuck would want to change the topic. He never likes to talk about his feelings.

"Well, I-I think...I ruined mine and Renjun's friendship..." I said in whisper, but loud enough so Donghyuck could hear me.

"What? How in the world did you manage to do that?" Donghyuck asked, clearly confused and worried.

"I-I told him that I- we-" I then started to cry, not being able to finish my sentence. Donghyuck almost immediately wrapped me into a hug.

"What did you do?" He asked softly while rubbing my back, letting me sob into his shoulder.

"I-I told him that we couldn't be friends anymore..." I said quietly. "God, I'm so s-stupid...why did I e-even think that was a good idea? I should never have l-listened to Mark..."

"Mark told you to stop being friends with Renjun?!" Donghyuck asked, sounding pissed.

"N-no! He just told me I was annoying and that Renjun is probably done with my useless, annoying self..." I said, trailing off.

"Jaemin, he has no right to say that. You aren't-"

"No, I know I am. I get into everyone's business, I'm too clingy...even you are probably annoyed with me."

"Yeah, you're right- I am annoyed. I'm annoyed that you even let Mark talk to you like that, let alone believe it." Donghyuck said.

"Donghyuck, I-"

"Jaemin, you are one of my best friends. I really do cherish you, and I'm telling you Renjun cherishes you more than anyone else. You guys have been friends for forever! Don't you see that he probably wants you to come back and say that you can still be friends. And I know that you don't want to stop being friends with him either." Donghyuck finished.

I blinked and widened my eyes. I then remembered that there was something else keeping me from Renjun. My feelings for him.

"He'd hate me if I told him how I feel. I don't want to be hated by Renjun, Donghyuck..." I whimpered.

Donghyuck rolled his eyes. "Jaemin, how could anyone hate you? And why do you assume that he doesn't return your feelings?"

Jaemin chuckled softly. "Jisung said the same thing to me."

"See! Even Jisung thinks so!" Donghyuck smiled and I smiled back. It was nice seeing Donghyuck smile after getting his heartbroken.

"All I'm saying, Jaemin, is to not give up on Renjun. I know he really cares about you and vise versa." Donghyuck said. "If you really do like him, then don't stop chasing him. Don't leave him behind because of your own doubts."

I widened my eyes at Donghyuck's advice. He was right, so very right and was stupid to ever think that not being friends with Renjun would help me. I need to keep chasing after Renjun, make him see how much I like him, love him even. I shouldn't give up and I won't.

"Thank you, Donghyuck. I won't give up." I said with determination.

"Then go, go make up with Renjun." He said with a smile.

I nodded my head and turned your walk out, but before I do leave, I have to tell Donghyuck something. I turned to look at him. "Donghyuck, you too. Don't give up on Mark. I know how much you like him."

I knew my work here was done when I saw Donghyuck blush and nod. I then smiled at him and walked out of the house. Saying goodbye to Donghyuck's mother as she closed the door.

I then sprinted to Renjun's house.

I won't give up on you, Huang Renjun.
